Posted by Darien Alston-Baldwin in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · e1 on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 9:04 am

The project was about cell phone addiction and multitasking and we tested this on the class of 2021.I found out that multitasking and cell addiction can affect you as a person and in real life and it stops you from completing tasks efficiently and quick. The class of 2021 checks there phone a lot and the stream that checks there phone more than others is West stream. The tips I have for you is focus on one thing, limit your cell phone use,pay attention to how much time your spend on your phone, and take breaks away from you phone.

The purpose of the project was to see how much we use our cell phones and what we use it for. Also, analyze my data with the rest of the class to see what I realize. Research shows that cell phone addiction and multitasking can damage your brain and you will perform task slower. To avoid these problems you can limit yourself to checking it a certain amount of times a day.

Cellphone Usage Blog Post

I'm going to be talking about the usage of my phone and how it relates to what we have learned about multitasking and cellphone addiction. As well as how my data compares to the different data from my grade. Overall my goal is to become aware of my cellphone use as it relates to how it affects my body and mind. I found out that being addicted to your phone is a real thing and my people around the world are in fact addicted to their cellphones or at least close to being addicted. I also learned that theres an actual explanation for that feeling of needing to check your phone. Which is that your brain gives off dopamine which makes you feel a rush to check your phone when you get a message. I now know that I need to control my phone usage to avoid getting addicted to my phone. You can control your phoen usage by creating no phone times throughout your day, you avoid using your phone throughout the first 30 min of your day, and you can turn off your phone when your about to drive.

I collected my cellphone usage data by using the checky app where I took the data and input it in the google spreadsheet. (LINK BELOW)

The cell phone use project was about  calculating the use of our peers cell phone data. When doing this we had to make graphs, and use an app to figure out our own cell phone use called "checky". After finding our data we made a graph and then made our final project.

The propose of the project was to see how often we use our phone during the school day. I discovered that some people have a massive cell phone addiction. You could turn off your phone. We recorded the amount of times we opened our phone and that is how we got our data.

The topic topic of this project is to teach us about multitasking and to determine if we're addicted to our phones. I determined that teens are addicted to their phones due to social medias. Some tips is to keep your phone out of sight to so you won't be tempted to get on it. We found the data by keeping track of how many times we checked our phones.

The topic of this project is to be more conscious of your own phone use as it relates to research around learning, brain function, and addiction. I discovered when looking at My Cell Phone Chart that the average number of checks for my peers was a lower number of checks for my peers was a lower number than my highest average of checks for my cell phone . What I believe now based off of all my data that I collected with the Cell Phone Use is that when calculating the average of everything it made a big difference in use of how I or my peers may use their phones for certain apps that is on their cell phones . Tips I have is taking the time to just relax the brain off of our phones, Distract ourselves to do something other than finding a way to use are cell phone, For myself is when I know I'm using my phone too much just put it aside and shut it down to take a break from it, and last you should take notifications off of your phone sometimes so that you aren't notified as quickly.

cell phone addiction and multitasking

The main idea of the project is about multitasking and cell phone usage. How much we spend our time checking our phones and what does that mean.  What is multitasking, how does it relate to cell phone addiction and what it can do to our time. The project goal is to gather data on cell phone usage using Google sheet and the checky app that collects the amount of times we checked our phones. I came up with a conclusion that being addicted to your cell phone can also cause you to multitask on 2 or more things at once and that can cause more time to finish all the work. One thing you should do when you know that your addicted to your phone is to turn off your phone or tell someone to hide it so you can do things that are more productive.
