Electric Art Project

We chose to build a duck because building a duck was the first thing that came to mind. This project would challenge as building wise and give us a chance to push ourselfs. We felt that building a duck would exceed the project expectations. We thought it played into our everyday lives in a way we could take very much pride into it. We will be very proud of this from and for a long time.

The person who lives in this room is Ryan. He is a very creative person. He plays sports. . In the room it's a bedroom  There is a skyline, that means a lot to him. He doesn't go outside because of what happened to him two years ago. He used to be so energetic, popular, and care free. Until that one night. He was walking his dog and he saw this thing . It chased him through the wood. When it finally cornered him something happened, he won't tell anyone what happened but what happened he won't even step outside. So the only images we get are the ones he draws on the walls.   Some Things he thinks are very personal to him are the quote on the wall it reminds him of what he could be. He also likes the lights in the room, they make him feel safe in the dark. He also likes his tree it shows how you can grow over the years. The rose on the night stand gives him life and a sense of outside.

Internet Survival Guide

Posted by Allison Abate in Technology- Freshmen · Hertz · a1 on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 9:04 am
  1. An explanation of how the Internet has changed communication. Make sure to use at least one specific example.

The internet has made a momentous change in communication in good and some not so good ways. For example justin bieber communicated his love for singing o youtube and now is one of the most famous singer. In a not so good way is the laziness, so people will call or text someone in the same house instead of going to talk to the in person.

  1. Define Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control as they pertain to the Internet and explain how Immediacy, Permanence and Lack of Control affect both our offline and our online identities and lives. Include at least one example for each.

The internet has made a momentous change in communication in good and some not so good ways. For example justin bieber communicated his love for singing o youtube and now is one of the most famous singer. In a not so good way is the laziness, so people will call or text someone in the same house instead of going to talk to the in person.

Immediacy effects your on and offline life in several ways one way on line is you might click the post button and not mean it but you can’t change it. Off line if you say something mean or office something could happen to you or that person could be hurt.Permanency can affect you online because if you post something bad  that's what people think of you. Offline you might lose friends or certain people will think of you differently. Lack of control effect you online because if a picture of you is photoshopped on someone else people might think that's you.Offline you  can get in trouble if that think online was illegal.

  1. What are two ways that you can actively manage and protect your identity and your reputation online? (one of each)

You can manageyour identity online by making sure you know who your friends with and protectby making yourself private. You can protect your repuation online by minding your own business and you can mange it your repuation by putting postive things on the internet.

  1. Answer the question: “Does the Internet have rules?” Use at least one specific example.

The internet itself does not rules but, when you post something on a website it can be taken down because the website's rules the internet can't take it down.

  1. Define cyberbullying in your own words.

Cyberbullying is bullying someone over the internet.

  1. Describe at least 2 kinds of cyberbullying and why they are considered cyberbullying

Harassment Is when you in a group or by yourself and are rude or threaten someone it’s considered bullying because itt can lead to mental or physical harm.

Flaming is fighting exchange in text or on so and can also include explicit pictures or language. It bullying because you can harm someone or hurt there feelings.

  1. Provide advice for: victims, bullies and bystanders of cyberbullying

victims:I think victims should tell someone and If they don’t feel comfortable doing that handle the situation maturely.

Bullies: should do there own thing and do what makes them actually happy instead of minding others business.

Bystanders: try to tell someone or even talking to the victim might help them.

  1. Your Top 5 tips for using the Internet.

  1. Make sure you rethink what you're about to post.

  2. Think what others might say about your post.

  3. Think would your future self respect this.

  4. Alway put something on the internet that will help your future.

  5. Ask yourself if I applied for a job and they saw this would they accept me.

Learn Create Lead

Learn-Create-Lead

Creativity while learning makes me feel like I can make learning or making my work my own.I feel as though when I have room to make my creativity known I get my work done faster I work harder and I want to do my work.It shows my passion for what I love. It shows me when I feel. When I can show creativity I can make my work look better then ever. You also have to put  creativity in work that might not have any in it. You might have to look to your creative side and make the work creative.Everyone has it but not everyone knows how to use it. Some people use it but not to their best advantage or put the effort in. Creativity is one of the most important things. It’s more than drawing or making a picture it’s showing what you know. It’s also you what you have in you to make it better ad not a little bit in a way that’s different in a way nobody else does or did in the past. It’s new and exciting.creativity comes in all forms and sizes you might be called creative for one thing and something that you never done before more than something you’ve done your whole life. Some people like teachers, parents, peers, etc see your thing and don’t look at creative side. Form a personal experience I would make something or more specific write an essay and might think it the best thing I ever did.The only thing remember creativity it everywhere. Most all it’s you.

Introduction - This day, in age, all you here about is the negative things that are happening in our world and more importantly now even more on social media . For my article I am talking about about Tyler Oakley . Tyler Oakley, is a 27 year old youtube star who made a difference in our world’s younger (LGBTQ+) community. Instead of asking for gifts for his birthday Tyler asked to send in donations for the Trevor Project . The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) and other queer youth.Tyler ended with donations at more than a half a million dollars.

Tyler Oakley plays a role in Permanence in a very effective way. Tyler Oakley couldn’t have a better places on the internet . He used to just be known for effecting teens and adults on the internet for being funny, talking about pop culture and for entertainment. Now he not only makes people feel better,he changed peoples lifes.Permancy is effected on him now because he is saving otheres lives ,by the donations he has sent in ranking over a half a million dollars. Now everytime someone searches for him by name on the frist page of google The Trevor project comes up with an article all about him and what he did for the project. He is always going to have a good search now because of the way he impacted people and it will always be remeber by millions of people on and off the internet.

Immediacy plays into Tyler Oakley’s  Accomplishment from the time he posted the youtube video, sent out tweets, and made a instagram post.He  got tons of support when he posted  the video. He also got some people who didn’t support him; that hate is important, it lets him know he is getting far .Once he posted that video it wasn’t going down he has over 8 million subscribers someone else has that video. Now he gives and shows eveone a sense of help that needed it or wants it.So immedicacy comes in when the video was posted on youtube it couldn’t be reversed.

Lack of control has one of the biggest impacts on social media these day , some people don’t even realize what their getting into. In Tyler Oakley’s situation in lack of control plays out when he asked to send in donation. He couldn’t tell people to donate ,he could only ask.He could have made no donations at all , but because he did it for a really good reason he got over a half a million dollars . He also had lack of control of how much people were donation you could donate how much or how little you wanted . To anyone it didn’t matter because if you did everyone was thankful.

Conclusion- Most importantly over everything Tyler Oakley made a huge impact for the trevor project .Little did everyone know he did it again a year later and continues to help the trevor project. Lack of control,Permanence, and  Immediacy impacted and will continue to impact social media. The point I think he wants to get across is that there is always someone to talk to even if it’s just on the phone with someone from the trevor project. You never should hurt yourself because there always someone to talk to regaurdless of you think there is or not; everone is equal no matter what.Tyler Oakley impacted social media and peoples lives in the best way possible.
