Alaina’s Artist Statement

This project reminds me of the things me and my family would never do. For example, the pebbles and moss in the jar remind me of camping. My family have never gone camping and most likely never will. My mom doesn't feel safe in the woods so we won’t go.

Isis’s Artist Statement

This project reminds me of being in the woods camping and having a pebbled path leading my family out on an adventure. It reminds me of the algae that grew on fallen trees. The light bulbs remind me of being in a cabin that my parents rented for at least a week. The project brings back some good memories.

One point perspective drawing

Posted by Isis Austin in Introduction to Art · Hertz · a2 on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:42 pm
In the room that I drew is a lamp, window, couch, a rug, bookshelf, mirror, cabinet, door, photo frames, a table, a box with flowers in it, skylight, and wood floor boards. Something that I have learned from this drawing is that everyone's perspective is different and nothing is going to be the same even if everyone is drawing the same room. In my drawing I'm most proud of the photo frames and the wall in the back. I wish I could improve on the couch and the table. A tip is that people should follow directions to the letter so that you won't miss anything.

Cell Phone Use Project

Posted by Isis Austin in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a1 on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 8:42 am
Cell phone addiction is bad when you hear it, but you don't realize how bad until it is until you see how it's controlling your life. Multitasking is even worse than Cell Phone addiction. This project will explain how cell phone addiction and multitasking will control your life if you don't do anything to stop this addiction from taking control.
In conclusion, people on their phones will have a difficult time trying to stop this addiction since people spend so much time on their phones. People will learn that being on their phones for so long will affect their lives and can cause problems.
Tips
  • Do activities to keep your mind off your phone.
  • Lessen the time you spend on your phone
  • Turn off your phone
  • Or ignore your phone for as long as possible
