In summary, water pollution can affect and influence many things. From the politics and relations of different countries. To the health and prosparity of communites. Water pollution is a huge worldwide killer as well with an annual death toll of 500,000 and 297,000 of those people being children under 5. I chose this topic because even in our modern society people keep dying from diseases that were from polluted water. Water pollution is a form of pollution that people in Philadelphia especially tend to forget about or just not think much about it. I feel as though there needs to be more awareness around the impacts of water pollution.

I honestly picked this topic because it was the most interesting to me. When we learned about it in class I was really surprised that lead poisoning, especially in Philadelphia, was so common yet it was my first time hearing about it. You’d think this would be talked about more or something covered in school but unfortunately, it’s not. I would love to see this issue getting more exposure so the problem can be solved. I used a lot of knowledge from class and outside research so I wouldn’t do anything differently except, I could’ve started it earlier instead of waiting until the last minute. In this video, I talked about how Philadelphia's drinking water is contaminated with forever chemicals. I included the department that oversees Philadelphia's drinking water. In addition to that, I included the effects of the forever chemicals. I wanted to talk about it because even though the department that oversees Philadelphia drinking said it was fine, I still wanted to educate people to make sure they know what's in their water so they can make their own decisions. What I did well was giving the information on the side effects and how the water was contaminated. What I could have done differently is made the images better and speak more slowly. The most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA was gathering the information because it is crucial that people know this information for them to keep themselves in good health.

This video talks about plastic pollution in Pennsylvania but more specifically in Chester and Philadelphia. I discussed how China's recycling ban has affected both cities. I chose this topic because I thought it was interesting how what we do in Philadelphia is negatively impacting another community and we don't even know it. Research wise I did well I was able to find a documentary about this and read several articles. I do think I could've included more information about how this affects Philadelphia and maybe been a little more creative. The most meaningful part of this PSA was learning how these people have to live because our government doesn't want to spend money. Hearing how much their health has been affected due to decisions they have no control over is sad and nobody seemingly wants to help.

In my video, I talked about the impacts of lead poisoning on children because they are the most vulnerable to it and also the impact lead has on the environment. I talked about the serious health consequences lead poisoning has on children because they're still developing. I then talked about how the environment is also affected by lead when lead gets into soil or water. I also talked about solutions to combat the impacts of lead on people and the environment. I chose this topic because I'm interested in public health and is an issue that not only greatly impacts the environment but it seriously impacts children. It's an issue that needs more action and awareness from the statistics I've seen about the number of cases of lead poisoning every year. Something I did well was tackle the impact lead poisoning has on children and how it happens but I could've talked about adult lead poisoning though too. I also think I did a good job with doing research but I feel like I could've included more if I were to make it longer and get more in-depth. For me, the most meaningful part of the experience of making this PSA was getting to make a PSA about something I'm passionate about learning about.

I chose the topic of oil spills because in my opinion, its underrated until it affect's people way of income. More people actually need to be aware of what oil spills can actually cause. What I wish I had done differently was the video and voice over because they were not matching at all, but at least I added additional research for oil spills in the text throughout the video.The most meaningful part was experiencing how all different aspects (society, politics, economics, stakeholders) all tie together one way or another.

I chose this topic because every summer I have noticed that the temperature has been increasing. I learned that this problem can be traced to climate change and increased carbon in the atmosphere. The most meaningful experience of this project was the research portion of the project. It really made see the affects of climate change.

We learned a lot about water pollution throughout the year so I chose this topic to bring attention to a place in the world that suffers from which is why I chose Ethiopia. I talked about its lack of clean water resources and the root of these issues along with a couple of ways we can help support them because this is an ongoing issue this year. I previously did research on a location in the United States but I thought using this assignment to not only educate myself about an ongoing issue I had no idea about but also use to spread awareness to the class! I definitely had some troubles creating my PSA due to a lack of creativity but I'm happy with the outcome because I did it to the best of my ability. The video is smooth and I was able to practice my script so I felt super comfortable with my speaking. I do wish my video could've been more interesting or have captions and better videos but I was working with what I had. The most meaningful part of creating this whole project was when I started my research because I was completely lost with the direction I wanted to head towards but once I figured out what I was looking for I quickly got into and the research I found not only educated me but boosted my ideas for this project. I had a lot of fun creating this and I hope people learn something from it!
