Lighted Collage Board
For my electric art project I chose to make a collage board of Polaroids taken either by me or are Polaroids of me on a white canvas. There are lights poking out through the canvas in between the photos. I chose to do this because my future dream job that I want to be is a photographer and the first ever camera I got to work towards this career was a Polaroid camera. I was able to take photographs with it and the photos that I’ve taken with it show my first steps towards my future goal. So I wanted to highlight my beginner photos because I thought this would be a good way to incorporate an electric component into my personal life. This is why I chose to make a photo collage board that lights up for my project
One Point Perspective Project
I drew a simple living room. There is a big window, big poster, a table, a vase, a rug, and a TV. One thing I learned about one point perspective is that everything needs to be proportional in your drawing or it won't look like it's in a one point perspective. The thing that I'm most proud of was my furniture because they actually look really good for somebody who doesn't know how to draw. One thing I wished I could improve in my drawing is adding more details and furniture to make it more detailed. One tip I have for somebody doing this project is to make sure your lines are straight and lined up with each other because if not it can make your drawing look weird.
Cell Phone Usage
This project was about cell phone usage/addiction and multitasking.
The goal of this project is to be more conscious of your own phone use as it relates to research around learning, brain function, and addiction.
Students in my grade use their phones way more than we think and I do now believe that teens are overly addicted to their phones, before I thought that us teens didn’t use our phones how parents exaggerated that we did now from this project I see we are addicted to our phones. A few tips I have to cut down on phone usage is:
- Once in awhile just put your phone down and take in your surroundings.
- At dinner put your electronics away and conversate with family.
- Instead of always bringing your phone with you when you go out with friends, just leave it behind.
