Essential Questions:

The earth’s systems affect each other in all different ways. Specifically, in floods, the hydrosphere affects mostly the Geosphere by tearing through typically un-flooded areas and destroying the area. Sometimes the area gets so bad that they are not back to normal for years. The hydrosphere also affects the biosphere because it causes animals to lose their homes and possibly even die. Floods also affect the hydrosphere because the water floods onto land and overfloods rivers and lakes sometimes.

The understanding of environmental sciences helps us understand how the different earth spheres interact with each other instead of studying it as just a disaster. For example, floods interact with the Hydrosphere obviously because of the water but it also affects the Geosphere in ways you might not think about the same Biosphere.

We could start trying to stop climate change and taking it more seriously because while climate change decreases the frequency of regular floods it largely increases the number of huge floods and makes the floods so much worse.

My reaction to my findings and overall project:

This project was fun and the stuff I found was not that surprising. What did surprise me was the information about global warming which was global warming caused more huge floods and less normal floods. Most of the information I feel was obvious.

How do the earth systems affect each other?

Depending on the cause of the wildfire. So if wildfires is cause natrually by lightning the earth systems affected are atmosphere and biosphere.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

You have better knowledge in case one of these natrual disasters occur

What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Stop litering Your reaction to your findings and overall project. Overall a 10/10 great experience Essential Questions

https://youtu.be/eVoQB7Om2rM 1. How do the earth systems affect each other? They are connected by the energy and materials. They all use the atmosphere, and geosphere in a way. The earth system 2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? It gives us a better understanding, for example with wildfires , i didn’t understand why it happened but now i do. 3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Try our best not to use so much coal. Submiss

  1. How do the earth systems affect each other? Water erodes rock and nourishes plants, and water vapor is a greenhouse gas which affects the atmosphere.

  2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? We gotta know where they’re coming from.

  3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Solar energy ftw

Overall this project was fun. Waited til last minute, still pulled through cuz I’m him. Himothy. Himmy Neutron. Invader Him. Always been always will be him.

Earth systems affect each other because when something such as a natural disaster gets worse due to human activities all systems are also affected by it. An understanding of environmental science can aid in handling natural disasters by gathering an understanding of what’s going on and why, and how you can prepare for it, etc. To create a sustainable future we can recycle more, reduce greenhouse gasses by walking, taking public transportation, etc and more.

How do the earth systems affect each other?
All of Earth’s systems work with each other, mudslides are an example of this. It starts with the hydrosphere with heavy rainfall which builds up in the ground, the biosphere. Earth systems work hand in hand with different processes and disasters. Without one system, another wouldn’t be able to function fully or properly.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling disasters?
Having an understanding of environmental science allows you to know how and why a disaster starts. This knowledge can help prevent a disaster from occurring and how to deal with the disaster and its aftermath.

What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future?
To create a sustainable future the first thing we need to do is educate. Environmental science gives people the background and understanding of why the Earth is in the state that it is today. Us putting in the effort to spread knowledge and being able to listen will put us on the path to a sustainable future.

Overall Reaction: It was interesting to learn about how mudslides start, it was something new I learned. I enjoyed creating a short creative video to go with the information me and my group put together.

  1. How do the earth systems affect each other? During hurricanes extreme rain falls and strong winds.tend to occur, thus being an interaction between the atmosphere and hydrosphere.Hurricanes tend to ruin lots of things in the geosphere and biosphere, such as destroying homes, trees, natural resources and many habitats.

  2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? Having an understanding of enviornmental sciene can help everyone be more prepared before ,during and after these diasters hit,and even fiding ways to limit or prevent these diasters overall.

  3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? Some efforts I believe we can make to create a sustainable future are, being educated on how these diasters happen, finding ways we can prevent them ,and creating stronger and more “intellegent” techology to keeping us safe when these events occur such as buildings with quality “diaster” proof materials etc.

The earth’s systems affect each other where the atmosphere, biosphere, geosphere, and hydrosphere depend on one another for our benefit in life. For example, they overlap and are all also interconnected. Natural disasters are a great example of how the earth’s systems interact with each other as each type of natural disaster impacts one or more of the earth’s systems. Knowing this, safety can be prioritized through any natural disaster as we know what to look for in the earth’s systems to identify danger in climates and shifts in the geosphere. Humans can limit combustion and preserve the only fossil fuels we have left to benefit the atmosphere because it is crucial to how we will continue to live. This project has been easy to complete any kind of interesting as we were able to choose our own natural disaster and partners.

The earth systems affect each other in many different ways for example, “Birds(biosphere) fly through the air (atmosphere), and water (hydrosphere) flows through the soil (lithosphere or geosphere). The spheres of the earth are closely connected to each other. A change in one sphere results in a change in two or more spheres.” An understanding of environmental science can aid in handling natural disasters so we know how the earth operates, how its systems work, the reason behind certain natural disasters, and knowing what to do if a natural disasters occured. Three efforts we can make to create a sustainable future is by recycling more, cut down on electricity/less energy, and buying only the things you will use.

Gabriel Bey Natural disasters

How do the earth systems affect each other? The biosphere is made up of all life on Earth, including the ocean, air, and land. The atmosphere is made up of gases carried from the earth's surface and crest (lithosphere). The vast majority of these gases are oxygen and nitrogen. The lithosphere is composed of solid rock minerals. This extends all the way down into the Earth's crust. The hydrosphere encompasses all of the water on the planet. This includes both below-ground and above-ground (Lithosphere) oceans, rivers, and lakes (hydrosphere). The lithosphere and hydrosphere communicate with one another while the atmosphere and biosphere also interact with these systems creating an endless cycle. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? Understanding environmental science helps us with preparing for the interactions between all earth systems. preventable or not having a better understanding of how our planet works assures us that we are doing our part in this huge cycle. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? We can try to limit the amount of carbon footprint we produce,Use resources less and more efficiently. Your reaction to your findings and overall project Although a lot of this information was already known,I enjoyed Learning about how Tsunami's interact with the earth's systems.
