Let it Shine

Through the process of this Physics project me and my partner Aaliyah have had a very hard time putting our ideas into action. Our first Idea was to build a microphone and make it light up to how powerful a microphone can be for music and for your own voice. The we moved onto crystals and that didn't work to well. Then we were left with a flashlight. Flash lights light up on their own and we were well of that. There is more than one way to make it shine. So this project shows that when things get hard you keep trying work with what you have and make it shine. This project shows that you light can still shine even when everything you do is leading you into the dark. This project actually means alot to us because we worked hard not only with our hands but we worked with our hearts so this project means more than everything to us. It may not be the best but we tried and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

Artistic Statement, why I choose this sculpture? I choose this frame because it represent me. It represent me because the frame itself represent the frame of my life. The frame is made out of wood, it’s simple but modern. The passage inside of the frame, which is related to me. “ Cherish yesterday Live today Dream tomorrow.’’ This quote is important because everyone can try to relate to this quote.

I got tricks for dayz.

For my project, I wanted to place light bulbs all around my half pipe to spice it up and give it flavor. SO, The reason why everything is placed as it is, is because I was having trouble visualizing this (at the start). The colors that it has are the way they are was to give it a bit of happiness than dullness.

Bobble head By: Marcus

my project is of a little bobble head of Jrew Holiday. I decide to make this because it reminds me of my grandfather. My grandfather loves basket ball, he always watches it and talks about it. My grandfather also brightens my day, he is so wise and smart and always has something to talk about...

Ball Is Life

My physics project was based on something that I really love. Ever since I was 7 I always wanted to play basketball and now that I have the chance to make my dream come true I will continue to do it. Playing basketball is all I really want to do in life but, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to continue this dream. I have a true passion for basketball and I don't care what anyone has to say about it I will always love this sport.

Greg A. & Luis R. : "Whole World in our hands" : Physics Project

  • Luis & I picked a globe because we want to cherish the world. Since we live on the world, we might as build it. Luis is the one who came up with the idea of making the world. We used a blue hamster ball for the world and will put all 7 continents on the globe. In the end we want it to look like a mini Earth. “ We got the whole World in our hands” You like that don’t you Mr.Gray? Yeah: I know!

Circuit Project

I made this because it is from the comic I read. This comic has brought me many friends and good times, so I figured since its going to end soon I would at least try to make one of my favorite outfits from the story

Spongebob by Rae'na and Kiyannah!

Spongebob
Spongebob
We choose Spongebob because Spongebob is the bomb.com. We've been watching Spongebob since we were youngsters. This scuplture says that we like Spongebob alot. We chose to put the lights in his eyes because his eyes sparkle like the night sky. We choose blue lights because his eyes are the color of the ocean in the middle of a storm.

Glow'n & Flow'n

water

My partner and I chose to light up a water bottle. We chose to do this because we both enjoy drinking that wonderful h2o. Everyone needs water to live and adding lights to the mix will make drinking water a lot more fun and exciting! I believe the fact that we chose to light up water bottles makes us seem a tad strange because water and water bottles aren’t normally items used to describe people. This makes us corky as well as happy about living since we drink a lot of water which we need to live. Also we have amazing skin because water is really good for your skin and we drink a lot of it!That is why we chose to light up water bottles.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond.

Our project was based off of the song Shine bright like a diamond. In our project we positioned to the lights bright make it seem as if the diamond itself was lighting. Only one bulb does not turn on to light but hat has 3 bulbs one battery and Is able to be worn although it may be a little heavy on the head due to the battery. There is a switch on the side to turn on/off the lights. There are positive and negative wires running through the hat.  Shine bright like a Diamond.

skull lock box

There are multiple reasons why my sculpture is unique in why I chose it and its significance to me personally. The sculpture I chose to use is a "edgy" black skull pencil case.I chose this item because it is a non-transparent box so it will be able to conceal the circuits and hard wiring on the inside, and when the teacher is ready to examine my work he can just open it and grade. This piece was also chosen to show i like to think out the box (even though it is a box) due to the fact that it has a skull on it it expresses the edgy side of me people do not usually get to see of me.

artist statement

the item i chose was a PS3 controller because i play a lot of video games and this controller was just lying around my house. i felt like this was the perfect opportunity to make use of it.

The sculpture we decided to light up was a phone case. We live in a world that is operated using technology, and we thought this was the perfect way to represent our love for it. We both like technology and we like finding new ways to accessorize our phones especially since we're using them every single day. So we took a phone case that we thought was very edgy and unique, and we put a circuit inside of it.

These bulbs are on a HEAD tennis racket. I play tennis competitively and I also practice to get better. Tennis is one of the sports that I love to play and still continue to play ... to this day. I put the lights on it because when I am focused and or working and playing hard my coaches call me a god . And god does light right ? Finally tennis is something that I will never get tired of and can see my self playing it as a career.

Warmth in the snow

We chose to make this sculpture because it represents our warmth in the time of when your cold. When it’s cold out people wear gloves to keep warm right? This sculpture represents our hidden warmth through the glove and the shining light bulbs. This sculpture describes us because it’s about how hidden strength and warmth when it’s a cold time for us. We stayed warm and protected ourselves throughout the cold times.

Flower Of Scent by Cierrah Brown

For my physics project , I have created a series of lights on a top of my favorite perfume which is , Lola by Marc Jacobs. I always believed a woman'd perfume tells more about who she is. I took classes on learning to create and be in my own business to be an entrepreneur. Not only because the investment , I always like the different fragrances and different ways you can make your own.A scent reflects who you see yourself as and how you want to present yourself.

We choose to do Lights In The Skies because we love to look at the sky and look at the beauty of the world. Also we choose to do Abstract art because when looking at the art peice we question what is cold be . What this says about us is that we are adventurous and we like to go above and beyond.

Kevin and I decided to use a baseball bat for the foundation of our project because we both really show a strong passion for baseball. This is our main sport that we play and we are very good players. We chose to use a bat because it has to do with baseball and we like to hit. We decided to make the bat light to make it look colorful. This is a sport that we both play all year around.

Jordan & Zoie Light Up Racquet: Physics Circuits Project

The item that we chose to light up is a squash racquet. I (Zoie) chose to light up the squash racquet because I will soon be trying out for squash. I think that lighting up the squash racquet was a great way for me to get excited about playing squash.  This project also helped introduce to me what a squash racquet is and how it works.
I (Jordan) chose to light up a racquet because I already play squash and squash is a big part of my life. I have been playing squash for two year now and I attend squash three days a week. So That takes up majority of my time. When I first heard about the project the first thing I thought of was something that connected me to squash so that's what I chose.
