I chose to make this sculpture because this is the first letter of my name and wanted to see how it looks if I put lights on it. This defines me because it’s a part of my name and the lights on it represents my name. This says that I am proud of myself and my name symbolizes who I am and always be. I also chose this for my sculpture because the form of it would be challenging to try to attach lights to it and I wanted sort of a challenge. Overall, I chose this because it represents a part of my personality and who I am.

One Point Perspective Room

Posted by Fabiana Cajamarca in Introduction to Art · Hertz · a1 on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 8:38 am
My room has a wood floor and two doors. It has a skylight and three windows. The furniture includes a bed, a table, and a rug. There is also a tv, a sign, and a clock. I drew what could be a bedroom because there's a bed in it.
I have learned that one point perspective always has to have a vanishing point because everything goes back to that and the is one of the major foundations of the drawing. I have also learned that a horizon line helps give the drawing more details.
I am most proud of how I applied what we learned about vanishing points in my drawing. This helped me create a room that actually looks like you are looking straight at it and drawing it with detail. I am also proud of my furniture because it actually looks good.
I wish that I could have drawn some of the personal drawings a little better because I couldn't figure out what to actually draw. I also wish that I could have added more specific details.
One tip that I would give is to take your time because if you rush, then your drawing will not have the effect of one point perspective.

Cell Phone Use Project

Posted by Fabiana Cajamarca in Intro to Tech and Comp App · Hertz · a2 on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 2:22 pm
The goal of this project was to look at how teenagers use their phone, how much they use them, and how to improve how much you use it. In the data that I saw, many students use their phone and check it a lot during the course of one day. I discovered that many people use their phone for social media. The data included many different numbers and different kinds of information. Some tips to improve how much you use your phone are to put your phone on do not disturb so that you don't know when you get a notification. Also you can turn your phone off so that you can do other things.

This data was collected by students entering their own data into the chart. Students filled out a form about their phone use. They tracked how much they used their phone for over two days using an app. Then put it into the chart so that the whole ninth grade can compare and analyze the data.
