Reflection: What surprised me about this article is that the area where this lead outburst was is not too far from my neighborhood. I wonder if there are still small amounts of lead still lingering in the air around there.

1. How do the earth systems affect each other? The geosphere has four subsystems called the lithosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere etc. Because i think these subsystems interact with each other and the biosphere, they work and prolly at the same times together to influence the climate, trigger geological processes, and affect life all over the Earth. 2. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? I was going to say there is many like: Stay informed. ... Have a plan for evacuation. ... Keep emergency kits on hand. ... Avoid unnecessary risks. ... Go to the safest area in your home. 3. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? If we Reflection on the project I feel like we did a good job with the project we did work very hard on the project we kept each other up to date on what we needed to do we make sure each one of us did our part in each checkpoint https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SAo_lM45cuOGAkj5oQ5tuPNsfV5DXsiFQ8BhChcmkqw/edit?ts=5db8f0cc
In our restaurant the way that three of out of four of the earth systems effect each other is through photosynthesis, the way that this works is the hydrosphere(water) and atmosphere(air) works together to create the rain, then we have biosphere(life) come in because the rain eventually helps with the process of photosynthesis, and that's life for plants to get their energy. As the Photosynthesis process continues Co2 is released in the air so we can get our oxygen. Which helps us get a sustainable restaurant and life of course. Moving along in the future we can help with this process to make sure that it continues by creating sustainable businesses and resource managements. If we continue to do that then we will not only help keep a sustainable future but also help the earth. We want to save our earth and help our earth as much as possible because we all know about climate change. My reaction to this whole thing is I honestly can't believe that we "created" our own sustainable restaurant. It's really the little things that count too such as Growing our own food in our local communal garden, giving you metal straws instead of plastic ones, and using glass light bulbs that are reusable. Now imagine if all real world restaurants really did some of these small things. The things that we worry about now such as climate change we wouldn't worry about anymore because we are helping the earth out just by recycling and using less energy. I really just want to say that I am proud of my group and I for actually putting all of this together. HOWEVER COME EAT AT OUR RESTAURANT SUSTAINABLE ARRANGEMENTS!!!!
In this quarter we learned about what we do to affect the earth and explored ways we could help. Our benchmark was to pick an industry and make a sustainable business that could be eco-friendly. My group chose the food industry since it had a huge impact on the earth, however, we had to focus on a specific part of the food industry since it was such a broad topic. We created a bakery that would focus on using its own materials that would be friendly to the environment instead of harming it. The food industry impacts all of the earth’s spheres, for example, the production of food releases harmful chemicals and CO2 into the atmosphere which is a factor of climate change. Each sphere affects one another since they are all connected, if the atmosphere is harmed then it could also harm the biosphere or any other. We need to make more sustainable choices and it can be the smallest thing to help the environment like supporting organizations that are creating more sustainable options for people to choose from. Here is a picture of the bakery we created.
How do earth systems affect each other? What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? The earth systems affect each other by relying on one another. For example, the Biosphere simply cannot exist without the hydrosphere's support. Therefore, we need to make sure both spheres are doing what they need to be doing and we cannot interfere significantly with them. The efforts we can make to create a sustainable future is to make sure our children are well informed, not to the point where it is fear-mongering, but to a certain extent. If the children are well-nourished, educated, and raised, there will inevitably be a significant amount of geniuses who will, in the future, come up with a plan to make an even more sustainable future. It's all about passing along the facts. Presentation: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1LhZpoYTvT_Pgz7pPhGCZCSwViUubeKngqPPdHe_HWc4/edit?ts=5db83f5d#slide=id.g6574f7f55e_0_0
How do earth systems affect each other? The hydrosphere affects the geosphere through erosion, the geosphere affects the biosphere through earthquakes, the biosphere affects atmosphere through pollution, and the atmosphere affects the hydrosphere through the rain. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? To create a sustainable future we can use sustainable resources for our businesses and think about how our actions will affect the environment before we create or destroy something.
How do the earth systems affect each other? What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? I believe that each earth system has a bigger impact than we even have a surface (understanding) on yet. I feel like the earth systems definitely affect the climate change that is going on. We are also a major part of the force of climate change. We pollute the earth from the air to the water. Us as the biosphere are hurting the earth. I believe the biosphere is the harshest earth system because we are very careless even when we are informed that we need to change our ways. I feel like the main thing we can do is stop pollution as much as possible. We pollute the earth from things big and small, from smoking cigarettes to driving cars to factories. It tends to seem like most ways that we survive is by adding harm to the earth. During this project, I thought of not only just talking about making a difference, but actually trying to do it. So, instead of taking the bus or driving to school, I decided to walk 2 days out of the week to reduce my carbon footprint/pollution. It is hard to get used to the change, but it is well worth it.
All of the earths systems effect each other through the impact they each have on the earths functions. The Hydrosphere and atmosphere together carry out photosynthesis, the atmosphere provides heat for erosion in the geosphere. Without one another, these natural processes wouldn’t be possible. Such as if we had no geosphere, there would be very little energy reflected back into the atmosphere. This would also cause the biosphere to have less energy, heat and gases for the earth. To create a sustainable future, we crate more things that are biodegradable and or use solar power. Knowing that not everything really gets recycled, it could help stop the damage that unnecessary waste is doing to the earth. I think this would be better because this way we don’t have to come up with new ways to recycle things. Alike paper straws to plastic, people probably won’t switch over that easily anyways.
Earth systems affect each other by causing if this happen then this must happen effect. an example of this is a volcano being erupted (Geosphere) so the gasses must go into the air (Atmosphere). An effort we can make to have a sustainable future is to take sustainability as serious as we can but at the same time not decrease our quality of life. We can start by using recycling properly and reusing that material. That would be simple and it convenient for the person which is a win-win. And it would be easier to acend up the sustainable ladder if we go very slow with it and even do good without even noticing it.

My group decided to make a sustainable clothing line called TSA (talented student-athletes.) The clothing does a lot of damage to the earth and as the industry. Soil degradation which affects the geosphere, water pollution is a major issue that affects the hydrosphere and greenhouse gas which affects the atmosphere. Efforts that we could make to have a sustainable future Just as people say watch what you eat would be to watch what we wear. Just as you read a food label you can read a shirt label whether your buying from online or in person. It'll tell you what its made from and how much material it has in it... It is up for you to make the right decision. If you're not sure DO RESEARCH. https://csholliday20.wixsite.com/mysite-4
