How do the earth’s systems affect each other?

Earth systems are highly interdependent and influence each other in various ways. Geosphere, the hydrosphere, the atmosphere, and the biosphere. All have an impact on each other and the earth. Which constantly affects the earth.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? Your reaction to your findings and overall project My knowledge of the science of natural disasters can further my knowledge of how disasters can occur and what we can do when in a situation of this disaster. While doing this project, I’ve learned how landslides can occur in some locations and what protocols are in these situations.

Avianna Wagner - Natural disasters

How do the earth systems affect each other? Earth's systems affect each when the rainwater weathers rocks, essentially "melting" them away over thousands of years, the hydrosphere and geosphere interact. When volcanoes erupt and hurl lava on everything, including the glaciers, that interaction happens as well. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? By an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters it will lead to us working together to try to avoid what may cause these disasters and fix it in the future. What efforts can we make to create a sustainable future? There are many efforts we can make to create a sustainable future, but one I had in mind are only allowing electric cars on the roads. It may not work right away but over time there will be a very significant change.

How do the earth systems affect each other? The earth systems effect each other because simple changes in the atmosphere can affect the climate, which can impact ecosystems and water cycles.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

Understanding environmental science helps in aiding natural disasters by providing people with knowledge of the causes, signs, and impacts of the natural disaster. This knowledge aids in better preparation, reaction, and planning

Your reaction to your findings and overall project I found it very interesting how volcanoes are caused.

Volcanoes - Camryn Nedrick

The Earth is made of several subsystems or “spheres” that interact to form a complex and continuously changing whole called the Earth system. By understanding environmental science, we can work together and see how these natural disasters are created to see what kind of precautions we can take whenever they occur.

Doing this project was interesting because it gave me more insights on how these natural disasters are created and how it affects our environment and what things that our earth does that can also affect our environment.

Tyrone Hill - Tsunami Blog

How do the earth’s systems affect each other? The earth’s system is just like any other world cycle. The ways we affect our earth’s surface, with the things we not only take from it but the things we put into it like oils and chemicals. If one of the earth’s systems becomes disrupted or tampered it can really detriment the earth’s natural cycle.

How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?

Many National Disasters are caused by some means of environmental science, for example, tsunamis are formed through shifts in tectonic plates which Is a form of matter in kinetic energy. Environmental Science is a great way of getting to know your environment and finding ways to get around certain events.

My Project Reflection:

To reflect on my team’s project, I feel as though we all put our mutual skills together to form a great explanation and visual replica. Our vision was to create a well-put-together explanation of tsunamis and how they were created and I enjoyed having a group with a mutual interest in the science behind Tsunami’s

Kennedy Holman Natural Disaster

The biosphere, which includes all life, and the geosphere are the two primary components into which scientists split the globe. The lithosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, and atmosphere are the four subsystems that make up the geosphere. These subsystems cooperate to impact geological processes, change the climate, and have an impact on life on Earth because of their interactions with the biosphere and one another. All of these system work together to allow the earth to function properly

Because we have a greater understanding of how natural catastrophes occur and the hazards they represent, knowing environmental science can help us deal with them. Knowing environmental science can help us be ready for future natural disasters. For instance, in many states, teachers advise students to seek shelter beneath their desks during a tornado. This, in my opinion, is very crucial that week seek understanding for why these things happen so we can know what to do, how to prepare and possibly prevent or help it. In addition, it’s usually advisable to keep them as low to the ground as possible during tornado warnings. People can better prepare themselves by knowing what they are dealing with and, more crucially, how to prepare for it if they cannot prevent it, with the help of an understanding of environmental science.

Doing this project definitely opened my eyes to how severe tornadoes are and how it affects us as people, animals and just our environment as a whole

How do the earth systems affect each other? There are multiple earth systems that are involved with volcanoes and their eruptions. The atmosphere is affected by the smoke, the hydrosphere is affected by the messed up atmosphere, the geosphere makes the volcano, and people can be affected by the eruption. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? It can help prevent too much damage from the aftermath of a natural disaster

The most common place to see a Tsunami is the Pacific Ocean, specifically the Ring of Fire; Also known as the Circum-Pacific Belt this area had the highest number of tsunami activity. Tsunamis are caused by a under of things, most commonly being underwater explosions and the shifting of tectonic plates. These cause deep displacements of water that rise to the surface and create large waves. These waves then travel hundreds of meters until they reach land.

How do the earth systems affect each other? - The force of the water, pollutants, and toxic substances can also harm natural resources on and off shore. The force of the water can take down heavy things such as buildings and trees. This destroys animal habitats and rapidly kills the land animals. The marine animals are also affected because of the chemicals on land, these chemicals have a high potential for poisoning them. How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? - An understanding of environmental science aid can better prepare people by making them knowledgeable on what exactly they’re dealing with and more importantly how to prepare for it if they cannot avoid it.
