Physical Description: A 3 part stretch. Each component will act one leg the will switch. Each component will also be held for a certain amount of seconds which will change as your connective tissue loosens. The first part is a normal lunge. The second part is a complete flexion of the knee followed by flexion of the hip joint with the opposite leg extended posteriorly. Keep ankles in a Plantarflexion position during the hold portion of the stretch. The third and final part is a split. Keeping the same leg anterior and the same leg posterior as when you did the first 2 stretch components. Then switch.

Football

For our project we choose football and told the main factors involving football and serve problems that can be face through the sport. We then go on by point in to the parts of the body that can be hurt and certain ways and how this could happen. I feel like our project gives a visual representation but also is easy to navigate and self explanatory which makes it more appealing to people viewing our project.

In our project we did the sport track and researched how it affects the muscles and connective tissue.

Track

In our project we researched how the sport we chose, track, is related to what we are learning about in class. Which is anatomy. We researched what muscles are being used and different injuries that can occur. We also looked at how injuries can be prevented.

Affects of Volleyball

Posted by Terrance Johnson in Biology of the Human Body · Aziz · E on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:30 pm

For my section of the project, I had to review what the effects of playing volleyball did to the human tissues. To my surprise, I learned that Volleyball is both a physical and mental battle. I also picked up that many parts of the body such as the legs and feet undergo an extensive amount of stress which makes injuries seem more common. Along the legs and feet, the back is also a place that can be injured due to the movements necessary in volleyball. For the most part, it seems as if most injuries come from the muscle tissues.

Wrestling Physiology

For our physiology project we researched wrestling and how can affect our bodies, organs, and tissue. We learned a lot about the dangers of wrestling and how to train yourself so as to not cause injury. Here is the link for a video demonstration on preventing injuries while wrestling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbWB1mPa69c

Badminton

For this mini-project, my group and I decided to do badminton. we learned the rules of the sport, the training that involved, the types of injuries occur in the sport and how to avoid them. we also learned the different tissues in the body that are affected by the sport. In our poster, we have some images show where the injuries can occur and what parts of the body are involved in this sport.

Football is a sport played by two teams that each consist of eleven players on a field with goals on each side. Some Injuries football players usually encounter are sprains, fractures of the bone and turf toe. Turf toe is a sprain of the big toe that happens when jamming the toe or from other repetitive injuries. Football players also experience ACL tears which is a tear in the knee joint. The injuries tend to affect the frontal plane below the transverse plane. The injuries occur by result of a combination of high speed contact causing trauma to the body even while wearing equipment to protect the player. Some ways football players can prevent their injuries are eating healthy, cooling down by stretching, jogging and hydrating consistently. It is also beneficial to first obtain a physical so that one's body is already in good shape to play.
