Mr. Gray's American Dream: Physics Circuits Project

The item that I chose to light is an American Flag.  This is something that I view as symbolic of America, in particular, viewing it as a symbol of freedom and independence.  This is meaningful to me, because my second favorite holiday is the 4th of July or Independence Day.  It is a time when my family has its second largest gathering, next to Christmas.  We all get together and grill tons of food, light bunches of fireworks, and have the best of times.  It is the staple of my summer and one of my most joyous moments of the year.

For my electric art project I made my track spikes light up. One of my dreams is to become an olympic track runner. I feel like track helps me relieve stress and push myself to the hardest point. Making my spikes light up also makes me feel like I am a star. I will be using my first pair of spikes because they are worn down and they show that I actually am dedicated to the sport.

Sneaker Shine

Posted by Ashley Bailey in Physics - Gray - B on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 12:58 pm

We chose to light up a sneaker. It was just the first thought that came to mind. We both love sneakers and that day we both had on the same sneakers so we said why not. The sneaker just shows what style I like when it comes to sneakers. I prefer sneakers over heels or any other shoe. I love sneaker shopping and then being able to mix and match my outfit.  Also, if I chose to light up a sneaker people probably would first stop and think to themselves, “Oh, they must like sneakers since they had to pick an item and that’s what they decided to pick.” It was something creative and fun thing to use.

This is a replica of the Death Stars lazer from Star Wars. I have Lego Star Wars clones for aesthetics.

We decided to do the goggles because they are used when riding atvs and, Louie uses them all of the time when he rides because riding is his favorite thing to do. These goggles protect you eyes at all times. that is why we did the goggles.

The sculpture I chose to do was a "cyborg pikachu". I did this because, for whatever reason I've been playing card based games like pokemon, and hearthstone alot recently. I thought it would be a fun idea to make an alternate version of pikachu.

Let there be Light!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the Hat?

Posted by Hector Tapia in Physics - Gray - B on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:51 am

Well what we did is put lights on at hat. A hat? Yes a hat! In the beginning we were skeptical of doing this. We were unsure and we weren't even going to do this at first. But after sitting down after a while and talking we decided lighting up a hat would be cool. We wanted to do something cool and different but also simple and pretty decent. And we came to a conclusion of doing this. And it turned out! We got all them to light some lighter than others but it worked out! Mission accomplished!

The  “ sculpture” that I choose was my binder. I choose this artifact because I like school, paper, and work. That is what’s in my binder. It is also what my binder represents to me, my love for school. I use my binder for every class I go to, for every thing I want to learn or learned. I will be placing a heart on my binder and it will light. It was simple, and it does represent how I feel about school. I expect everyone to realize just that.

resistance for one light: 3.3

ristance for all lights (9): 29.7

restance for everything including battery:

The Ticking Lights

Posted by Bianca Oglesby in Physics - Gray - B on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:35 am

When I chose to light the clock it didn't have in mind why I even chose it. I know that I have a slight problem with time. I just thought that this would be to cool to light the clock up. Even though it was cool this was one of the hardest project to do. There was a lot of elements to this project and I'm proud of myself when I completed it. It took it me a few times to get it together, but at the end it was all worth it.
