Konstantina Angelis Capstone

Posted by Konstantina Angelis in Capstone on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 9:33 am

For my capstone I wrote five original short stories. I thought that this would be the best way for me to express myself. This also allowed me to express my creativity. Throughout the process of writing these short stories I learned a few things. I learned the true meaning of what it means to be a good writer. I learned a lot of ways that can boost my confidence. This helps to make my writing better and more raw so the reader can be hooked.

Tierra Weary Capstone

Sometimes in life we stray away from what is real, taking the focus off the more complex issues creating a false world to live in. Welcome to Tierra Weary´s Senior Project. I chose to do a children´s book because not enough awareness is spread to them about certain topics. My book targets children 8 years of age and older. I wrote my book on abuse and chose to write a book of such nature for children, allowing them to see the harsh realizations of society. Abuse came upon as a hard subject to take on because its a children´s book. I ran into various complications while making this story. The most challenging part for me was coming up with a story line that wasn´t to explicit for their ears, but enough to stimulate there minds. All in all, my senior project was very fun and interesting. It allowed me to express my creative side. I really enjoyed working with the tools I used and referencing back to old classes and assignments. For my Capstone, I composed essential questions for myself: How do you convey difficult messages to young children (8+)? What could be the impact on a child's life taken what the book displayed? How do you understand a child's mind? From the author: I hope my story helps young kids in the future.
