I chose to make a light up boot because I like to wear my boots a lot during the winter time and they are mostly comfortable to wear.

The Darkness Within
Starr~ I chose a pentagram to represent me because I have unanswered questions. I believe that I should be able to hear both sides of the story before I automatically gain faith. I am the type of person that needs to see it to believe it, and reading a thousand year old book isn’t seeing to me. I would like to clearly state, that I am not a Satanist, and am simply curious to find out the other half of the story.
Tyheim~ I choose to use this pentagram to represent me because it reminds me of a TV show that I love to watch. This TV show is very special to me and I love it and it got me thinking of things in a different way. The TV show is a little part of me, that’s why I choose a pentagram to represent me.
Life is short; Death is forever
Every day people die and you will never get to see them again. Close family members can be here one day then leave the next. Many things have killed these people Cancer, Tobacco, or even just nature. So I cherish both the living and dead things in my room. Half is living the other is dead. In my room half of the side has a giant crack from floor to ceiling. On the other half everything is neat and the bed is made.

For the 4th quarter benchmark, Jada and I decided to light up a phone case. The phone case was simple and small and it represented our phones which played a role in our everyday lives. We use our phones everyday and the different apps we use on it express us both as individuals.

Dremona Hair show of lights
I wanted to choose hair because hair describes me best. I love the creativity of hair and the design. I thought by just using it I can create art more out of it. This sculptures says a lot about me. It explains my creativity and how talented I am.

Artist's statement: I chose 3D glasses as a base for my sculpture because of my love for movies. It is very important to me because I watch movies every weekend and one of my favorite movies of all time is in 3D. I also have it illuminated with lights to add the requirements of the project.

Electric Art
My art project will entail a red bandanna motif bucket hat. Which will have a circuit of lights upon it. I think that specific hat is unique, and represents my zest for fashion. I think it’d be interesting to incorporate fashion and physics. My fashion varies from cool and suave to bright and bold. I think this bold accessory combined with physics which is also bold will be a lit combination.

My Art Statement :
For my benchmark, I chose to do a Christmas Tree. Mostly my reasoning behind this idea is because when Mr.Gray first announce the project is dealing with lights. The first that came into my head was a Christmas Tree. I also feel like Christmas is the part of time where lights are used not only for being able to see, but for decorative purposes formed in beautiful sculptures that glow.Classroom Re-Engineering: More Cleaning Products
For my "Classroom Re-Engineering" project, I chose to work with Tajanae on more cleaning products for the classroom. Now although there are some types of sanitizers, wipes and napkins we have access to in the classroom, you can never have too many. Even though this would be a minor improvement to the classroom, it could go a long way. For example, if someone spills a drink on the floor but can't find a napkin to clean, the drink become sticky and can develop into a permanent or stain that's very hard to get out the floor. I feel as though getting something like more cleaning products would help because they would show signs of cleanliness in our school. Below are a couple specific products.

The Light Within
For my electric art project, I inserted a series circuit inside of a can. I chose to do this item because of the meaning behind the sculpture. My meaning for the sculpture is how I appear to others versus how I am inside. People tend to believe that I am heartless and careless of myself and others. When people view me, they don’t see much. Though how I am viewed is not how I truly am nor feel. When you first observe my can you see that it is ordinary, once you look inside you begin noticed that your thought of me was totally wrong. Inside I have lights that represent my true self. I have a heart that I use to care and look after others. I prefer for people to view me the same as they always have. If people truly knew how I am as a person, they would mistaken my kindness for weakness.

Maybe you’re a singer or rapper, or maybe you just love music… Maybe you can’t afford to keep buying beats online or want to expand your set of skills… Either way you want to know how to make your own beats and songs. But where do you start? Right here I gave a instructional video on how to become your own producer. The process of doing it is highly addictive. I learned so much producing beats, it made me appreciate my love of music even more. Just be careful and always remember to save all that hard work that was put towards that beautiful beat. This is truly an amazing experience. I hope you learn much as I did.
Electric Art Project
Malayah and I chose to make our handbag light up. We're making our handbag light up because it symbolize our passion for fashion. Adding the lights to the handbag would be something helpful because when women usually dig in their handbag they can't see. The lights would be perfect for women because then they could see what they're looking for. Us using a piece of clothing and remodeling, help us start in the fashion world.

We chose a shoe box because it is nice and we run track.It is important to us because we like shoes and we use track shoes to run.The color was also nice with the lights.
Lighting Make-up
I, Rilajah chose to make this sculpture because we both have interest in modeling. In modeling you have to use makeup to fit the purpose of the outfit or costumes. This sculpture mostly says that we used something we have similar and made a project. Also we thought this would be a good object to use.
I, Taneeja chose this makeup box because I am a model and makeup is apart of modeling. Me and Rilajah didn’t know what to do but we had this in common. This was easy and meant something to the both of us. This sculpture means a lot because I plan to be successful in modeling and becoming something one day so this shows my passion.Street Art
Physics Project
What I did for this project was made it light up, I did not pick out the stuff animal. The reason why we chose to light up a stuff animal was because since my partner and I were young we always had stuff animals, I still do. They used to mean a lot to the both of us, which is why we picked it (also because it is cute). To make the circuit was simple, all I had to do was make a series with a couple lights and connect them to 9 voltage battery.
Electric Scent
I did perfume for my electric project. I did perfume because perfume can not only add memorable scents but also light up your world. For this project I used one of my favorite perfumes in travel size and added a circuit to it.
My room. My world. My everything.
Growing up i’ve always shared a room with my older sister, but she was always busy doing other things like homework or hanging out with friends. We got along, but after she got into high school we rarely got do anything together and even more so now that she is in college. Even though we shared rooms it was like having my own without anyone telling me what to do.
In my room I have a brown desk that we never repainted with my sisters things on it, I included my sisters AP text books to show that, she took all AP classes during her senior year of highschool which left her with no time for me. In front of the desk we have a part of of our old couch that she uses for her desk which she normally slides under her desk. The reason that there is only one bed in our room is because we share it or she stays at a friends dorm. My computer is on my bed because my sister doesn't like it when I use her desk. In the middle of the room we have a Totoro mat. The reason we have two closets in our room is because we both have our own.
Xbox 360 Control
Jahzaire and I decided to make a wooden Xbox 360 controller because it represents what we have in common. We both played Xbox, also when we were thinking the design process, this seemed to be the most fun out of them all. With our design there is both a parallel and a series. What the sculpture says to me in particular is that I am an avid gamer, it isn’t just a hobby but a passion for me. That is the main reason why we chose to make an Xbox control.
Physic Project
I choose a sneaker for the project because I'm in love with sneakers. Sneakers mean everything to me and I felt that I would like to do something that revolves around something I love. I chose to do laces because I felt like it was the easiest and most eye popping.

For my electric art sculpture I made a light up basketball rim. Basketball is a big part of my life. I’ve been playing basketball for the past 10 years. So when I saw that this project was about lighting up something important in your life this immediately came to my mind.

"Stories to Paint the Empty Canvas"
I recently have been involved in a African American Storytelling. They have told constantly that I need to work more on trying to be free and have fun. Yet for the first weeks I could not do it at all because I always want it to be perfect. For example they told me to try and create a story that would interesting. Everybody’s story talked about unicorns and fantasy animals and mine was about a dog that couldn’t find it’s tail. Until they finally said something that kind of clicked with my creative and fun side of me. “You should think storytelling as a empty canvas and you are trying to paint a picture of what you are telling.” Now I think that I have improved in making and telling storytelling.
In my drawing I tried to create a clear difference between the two sides of the room. I tried to create a creative side that looked fun to symbolize the new me. On the other side I tried to make it look as gray and boring as possible to symbolize the old me. On the Boring side I put a bookshelf to show all the boring books with the sign of basic on the top of the book shelf. I made the creative side have a bookshelf too but, the difference between the two is that there are only a few books. I did this to show that this is new experience and I am just starting to gather my new creative ideas.

My whole life revolves around sneakers. I love them with a passion. They are all bright but this one will truly be lit. As in lit like super flames. Sneakers like the one that we’re working on deserve to be just light. That’s what they are beautiful and bright like stars. I want to work at a job that involves sneakers i’d would be perfect there.
