A Spanish News Broadcast


  1. Groups of 2-3 students will create a Spanish broadcast, which will include the following:

    1. Saludos

    2. Un segmento sobre “El Clima”

      1. 5 or 7 day forecast

    3. Un segmento sobre “La Moda”

      1. What is trending in the fashion world?

    4. Un segmento sobre “La Salud”

      1. Current health situations - example: the flu

    5. Despedidas


  1. You must include ALL of the following Spanish 2 concepts/topics:

    1. La ropa

    2. El cuerpo

    3. Los verbos (presente y pretérito)

    4. Los sentimientos

    5. El clima

    6. Los pronombres

    7. Conversacíon basica


  1. The video must be creative and visually appealing.

➡ It needs to be ONE video with sound and audio


➡ You must include a Spanish name and channel

➡ It needs to flow and make sense

➡ Maximum of 10 minutes total for the entire video

I choose this topic because my sensei in karate keeps telling my and the other students that the world is getting darker and crazier. So now I wanted to know how dangerous a small part of the world, the U.S., really is. Doing this research, I hope that people will understand the robberies in the U.S. and some dangers to society.

The reason I chose this topic was because there are a lot of students and even teachers that would like to know how to shoot a basketball the correct way. So I am creating this to help them learn how to shoot a basketball the right way and start to make a higher percentage of their shots. I choose this topic because I feel as though GMO's are a major health concern for our generation. 
I hope that the people who view this info-graphic will see the dangers in genetically modified foods.
Maybe an advocate for non-GMOs might come across this info-graphic and get inspired to stand up against it.

I chose this topic because it is something a lot of teenagers struggle with. According to nyc.gov, by middle school 40-70 percent of girls are dissatisfied with two or more parts of their body and their body satisfaction hits rock bottom between the ages of 12-15. Hopefully this will help people build their self esteem.

I chose to discuss teenage pregnancies because it seems to be an issue in this century. And I think that if people really put more time and consideration into the problem, it can be prevented. Also, as a teenager myself, it's important to me not to get pregnant at such young age. And I can also spread the word on to my friends that I care about to protect themselves.

The reason why I chose this topic is because I have a passion for hair and hair care. In my opinion I think hair care is very important and I think that every woman should know about it. What I hope people learn from this is how to take care of their hair so it can be healthy even though some people already know some of these facts, but can still gain more knowledge from this.

​What I hope people will learn from infographic is that even the best athletes can have good educations, as you can see how Stephen Curry graduated from Davidson. I also hope people learn that Stephen Curry is a very good shooter because he holds a record. And lastly, I hope people learn basketball creates bonds to, such as when Steph'ens dad (Dell Curry) played in the NBA before Stephen did.

Wolf Sketch

  1. Describe your project
    The project is a sketch of a wolf.

  2. What knowledge did you already have about the project before you started?


I knew how wolves look and their characteristics of them so it's easier to draw the details.



  1. What new skill did you want to learn coming into the project?

I learned how to outline a drawing to keep on what have looking neat and to keep it from looking like its fading.

  1. Did you accomplish this goal?

    Yes I accomplished this goal because I successfully outlined the wolf and I colored in what I could to bring it more to life.

  2. How do you know you accomplished the goal? If you didn’t accomplish the goal, why do you think that is?

I accomplished this goal because the wolf looks more permanent and the colors seem to have brought the characteristic of the wolf to light. The drawing is much better than when I first started.


  1. What other skill(s) did you learn along the way?

    I learned how to not follow a pattern when drawing fur so that it has that wild unkempt fur look.

  2. What are you most proud of in this project?

    I am most proud of the wolf’s eyes and the color I chose for it. It’s the thing that stands out to me the most.

  3. What would you do differently if you had to do the project over again?

I would sketch a wolf in a different position, probably from a side profile because I think that would make for a cleaner drawing and I could probably get more detail in the drawing.

This was by far the hadest drawing ever. I almost gave up but I desided to try one more time. I think its going to be even harder to put it on the canvas. I'll try but I fear that my project is not going to be as good as I hoped. Hopefully everything will be ok.
