Ice Hockey and Our Tissues

Posted by Mariano Mattei in Biology of the Human Body · Aziz · C on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 8:51 am

Our project was on Ice Hockey. We wrote about the major injuries that occur in ice hockey and specified certain stretches that you can do to prevent the injuries. We also wrote about the specific terms used to describe where the injuries are usually located.

Sports Physiology Cheerleading

Posted by Aniyah McGee in Biology of the Human Body · Aziz · C on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 8:50 am

Our project was on cheerleading. We focused on the injuries and exercises. We explained how the tissues were impacted when doing cheerleading activities. It's very dangerous when you hurt yourself because then you damage your tissue.

Volleyball

During my research on volleyball the most interesting things were noticing the injuries and the treatments. They were injuries that didn't take long to recover but a lot of pain. Another thing was that the argument against that volleyball didn't have enough protection which I agreed on. https://www.theartofcoachingvolleyball.com/10-volleyball-specific-strength-exercises/?wvideo=nzr36n7wen

The sports Physiology of Lacrosse

Posted by Samantha Green in Biology of the Human Body · Aziz · C on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 10:19 pm

Throughout our research of sports physiology, we investigated Lacrosse, and how our physical well being is affected by it including the pros and cons of the sport. the activity my group members and I chose to engage our peers in is a demonstration of a Lacrosse warmup that a normal team player would do.

For our mini-project, we chose to research the physiology of the sport, lacrosse. Throughout our research, we found some interesting things about how our bodies are affected while playing this sport.

In this project, we researched the basic rules of lacrosse and how it affects the different types of tissues in our body. Also, the different types of injuries that are involved with lacrosse as well as how to prevent them.

Sports Phyisiology mini- project

Posted by Kitana Seals in Biology of the Human Body · Aziz · C on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 9:16 pm

This project was about the study of a sport and the effect it has on the body. My group mates and myself choose to study how Lacrosse can have an impact your own body. We did the research on the anatomy and physiology of the sport lacrosse, we  found out how our tissues and muscle in our body are affected negatively and positively when on the field.
As for the demonstration we choose to follow a warm up activity to show how lacrosse players gain muscle memory and stretch their bodies.
