How do the earth systems affect each other?
- When one system functions, whatever it affects will work together to influence the climate, trigger geological processes, and affect life all over the Earth.
How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
- if we learn how the environment works we will know how to prevent and aid it.
My reaction to our project is pretty positive but it was hard to understand how tsunamis work.

Earth systems can affect each other in drastic ways. When a wildfire happens, not only does the geosphere get burned, but this has a direct impact on the biosphere as well as the atmosphere. Elements of the hydrosphere can be used to put out or control wildfires.
Learning more about our environment can help aid in the prevention and preparation for these natural disasters.

Post your visual component A reflection answering the Essential Questions How do the earth systems affect each other?
I believe the earth’s systems work well together and allow things to create the earth that we know. For example, when the hydrosphere and geosphere work together they can create earthquakes that can also create tsunamis. From the looks of it, it’s kind of like too much happening in the geosphere which creates an even bigger reaction to the earth’s hydrosphere.
How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
Understanding environmental science can prepare us for when natural disasters come. For example, when a tornado occurs, teachers instruct students to hide under their desks in some states. I would say this is so they can not only have something protecting their heads/bodies. But also to keep them as low to the ground as possible, which is often advised during tornado warnings anyway.

How do the earth systems affect each other?
Earth’s major systems interact with each other in multiple ways to affect Earth’s surface materials and processes. These systems are all connected. For example, water (Hydrosphere) helps plants grow (Biosphere), and those plants can break down rocks (Geosphere). So, changes in one system can affect the others.
How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
Environmental science lets us understand why and how natural disasters happen, which can help us guess when they might happen next. For instance, looking at patterns in the earth’s movement can give us a heads up about earthquakes. In the same way, studying weather patterns can help us know when hurricanes and storms might be coming.
THE LANDSLIDE MASSACRE by Victoria Brodie
How do the earth’s systems affect each other? How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
The earth’s systems are all interconnected, the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere, each one has an effect on the earth whether it’s, a volcano eruption, rain, greenhouse gasses, and many others.
A basic understanding of environmental science can help you understand natural disasters because you will have knowledge of how they happen and how to prepare for them. Environmental science teaches various disasters that can happen on our planet, and by learning this you can identify signs of an upcoming natural disaster and take steps to prepare for them.

How do the earth systems affect each other?- in the case of hurricanes , climate change, and rain affects them. as the earth’s temperature gets warmer the ocean get warmer, and the ocean gets warmer. Hurricanes need warm water to form and climate change can increase the chances of a hurricane, which makes the earth’s systems connected to each other.
How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters? - by under how these disasters happen and work it can help us predict them and prepare for them.

Earth’s subsystems interact with one another as they recycle the material on Earth. They also interact to form a more extensive central system and change matter through different forms and phases. an understanding of environmental science aids in handling natural disasters because you will know how to better survive in the situation. It can also help you pass on the knowledge to others.
Overall I liked the project, it was pretty fun learning new stuff. An interesting find I learned about tornadoes is how they can affect trees

1-All things on earth are directly or indirectly connected. So they all have links and through these links what happens to one has an effect on the other. It is clear that all Earth systems are deeply intertwined, but this connection can sometimes have harmful, but unintended, consequences. So the toxicity of one will necessarily invade others through their connections 2- By understanding environmental science it will be easier to manage natural disasters. Because we will understand them better, even if we don’t stop them, there are things we can do. for example, we can avoid things that will make them worse, like things that are toxic to nature. And by understanding science we can also make preventions 3- It was not a bad group assignment and the subject was also interesting but I felt a little distant in the group but I fulfilled the roles assigned to me

Your reaction to your findings and overall project - I was shocked to learn that it is actually possible to have hurricanes in Philly. The overall project was fun, and designing the slides was also fun.
Iba Ahmed, Natural Disasters
All of the Earth’s cycles are connected through cycles and systems. Hurricanes are heavily affected by climate change. Hurricanes are more likely to happen because of climate change because hurricanes need warm water to form. The warm water comes from Earth’s overall temperature decreasing.
It is important to have an understanding of environmental science because it could help people recognize the signs and prepare for anything headed towards us. What shocked me from this overall project was the relations. I never thought about how much climate change would impact natural distasters.

How do the earth’s systems affect each other? How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
Earth Systems affect each other by changing always changing, for example, the system hydrosphere affects the geosphere by erosion.
An understanding of environmental science is important for natural disasters because a major change in the environment could make natural disasters worse.
Something I learned about wildfires that is cigarette buds can cause fires along with lighting and dry seasons.

How do the earth’s systems affect each other?
In a way, the earth’s systems impact each other for example, The atmosphere and hydrosphere interact with each other by the atmosphere providing gases, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, that are needed for rocks and minerals. Also changing up the weather.
How can an understanding of environmental science aid in handling natural disasters?
Understanding environmental science aid can help prepare for future disasters by going through practice runs and providing safety tips. This can be valuable in the future and effective if anything happens.
Your reaction to your findings and overall project
Overall, this project was a good way of understanding more about certain natural disasters. I learned a lot of meaningful and important things. For example, 33,000 people around the world die each year from pollution caused by wildfires. Information like this makes me want to dig deeper and learn more about topics related to this and how effective it is.
