Cloud House
Axel lives in an apartment in the sky, that's why you can see clouds from his living room, he was eating breakfast, drinking his coffee out of the cup he got from his girlfriend Laura, and looking out on the sky and clouds, he loves clouds. He was gonna be late for work so he had to leave his plate and coffee cup on the table, he also accidentally left the door open, his door is made of bamboo and he made it from his bamboo garden on top of his roof. So far he has read all the books on his bookshelf and he’s trying to find more. The chair Axel got from my grandfather, he made it after he got back from World War I.

I have this friend who was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder some time ago and I had to change my way of living just for them. Bipolar is not something that should be joked about because it is a serious matter that people don’t understand. My friend and I both have to deal with someone who has bipolar disorder so we decided to make people more aware. We found the school psychologist and decided to use her as mentor because she had knew of some people that we could interview. We met up with the people who had Bipolar disorder that Mrs. Galson recommended and talked about how we were going to make the video and what questions we were able to ask and not ask. We learned their point of view and how it feels to actually have Bipolar disorder. We then proceeded to make our Power point so that can speak a little bit in our presentation and give some type of instruction. The way that my partner and I incorporated SLA in our project is by tying the 5 core values to our project. We also started using the final cut pro to edit our video. We used two different things to record and in both of the recordings we used SLA as our setting. If you are reading this please understand that people who have bipolar disorder can live just like us. They is a rare chance that a person with Bipolar disorder will be harmful. So if you ever come into contact with a person with Bipolar disorder don’t treat them as if they are not human. Treat them just like everybody else.

A Short Story Called On The Inside By Aaliyah Cooper & Autumn Green
We're going to Ghana!
Media and Design Ignite Presentation & Overview
I revised the “volcanoes” to make them look like mountains. I tried to figure out a way to imitate snow on the mountains but I wasn’t able to. So I changed the color of the mountains to grey, white, dark grey and light grey. I also changed the ground so it look like snow a little more.
The project I did in the first quarter was a website. My overall vision I had was i wanted a website that reflected me and my personality. My goal was just to completed a successful website and it would work. The project was successful because I got what I need to be done and I liked how my website came out.
The project I did in the second quarter was a 3D model. The overall vision I had was to make a 3D model that gave a message and I would be able to tell it. My goal was to make my model look good enough for my liking. I wanted it to convey the message well also. This project was successful because I completed a complex model than what it was before.
The project I did in the third quarter was image editing. I edited a picture of myself while I added numerous things from my other pictures. The overall vision I had for this project was to make a image that just looked cool. I would say this project was successful but it wasn’t. I was trying to add some more things to my picture but I could find more to use. It was successful to because at least I made a complete image that I was satisfied yet.
The project I revised was my quarter 2 3D modeling project. I decided to revised this project because I thought of how the message could still be conveyed but with mountains instead of volcanoes. In order to change the model around some, I just change the color of volcanoes to grey, light grey, white and I kept a couple mountains black. I also changed the ground with the mountains to match the color so it could look like snow was on the ground.
Your high point of the course when it comes to your learning My high point of this course was creating my website. I found this to be my high point because I never made a website and I thought it was cool to do it.
An area of growth for you When I originally created my 3D model, it was simple and plain. But then I figured out other ways on how I could make it more complex. I didn’t want to really add anything before I realized it was simple.
How you have used or could use a skill or technique you learned this year outside of this class? For 3D modeling, I could use this in life if I wanted to make a 3D modeled hand or leg for people. People have missing limbs could use this greatly.
An idea you want to pitch for a project for next year's class A possible project could be creating a online game
3 tips for anyone taking this class
When completing your checkpoints, take your time with them
Choose your projects wisely because you don’t want to choose a project that you may find difficult
Don’t miss your checkpoints because if you do, your grade could be in danger
Ignite presentation
For the first quarter I was assigned to do a website design project. It was supposed to be a way of me learning how to make one and let people know about me. The goal was for me to have a intriguing home, about me, resumé, and project page. I successfully completed those goals and created my website by showing who I was and stuff about me. For the second quarter I did 3D modeling. The goal was to create a 3D model and display my knowledge of using the tool. I used the Pixlr tool to help me create my Iphone design which turned out successful. I learned how to use the tool and I completed creating the Iphone.
For the third quarter I did graphic design. The goal of this project was to create a sign that would be helpful in the world, community, etc. I believe this project wasn't my best since I had a hard time using the tool to create it. I did complete the project and created a stop and think sign that would be helpful to everyone. The project I revised was my website home page. I changed every sentence to something new and the background. I took away some detail about myself since It's only my home page and you'll learn more about me in on the next page. I put the man setting up to run as my background to show what I love to do everyday. The goal of revising my website was to make any adjustments to a certain page on it to make it better. I successfully completed this task with improving my home page with pictures and better wording.
My high point of this course was learning how to use all the tools I did to complete projects. I would've never knew about WIX or Tinkercad without this course. Using those
tools made me want to explore even more
An area of growth for me would be to learn how to teach other people the things I learned. I have a great understanding of some concepts that others would would want to learn but I have a hard time of explaining. A skill I learned this year that I could use outside of this class is patience. With a lot of the tools I used I needed to have patience to complete my work. Having patience is the best skill to have or use anywhere.
An idea I have for next year would be for students to create a 3D model of a object or thing but then bring it to life by making a model of it. Like when I created a 3D model of my iphone online, I would make a clay model of it to display. The #1 tip I owuld give for anybody taking this class next year would be to ask many questions. If you dont ask questions in this class then you might end up getting something wrong or not understanding. The #2 tip would be to always give a quality effort with each assignment. The less effort you show the less of a grade you get which you want the highest grade possible. Tip #3 for anyone taking this class would be to turn in every assignment on time and stay ahead.
Q4 Benchmark for Media and Design
For this project I created a digital portfolio using a website generator. Here I would display my work I have completed throughout my highschool career in an attempt to get my name out in the world. When I Google my name I don’t find much, so I wanted to put something positive out into the world. I have an About Me page, Projects page, Resume and and Contact page. I think my project for Quarter one was a success because I created an easily accessible, aesthetically pleasing website that showcases my talents as a student. For my second project of the year I chose to take a more political approach. I decided to Photoshop a series of photos of Donald Trump into a Cheeto. I wished to express my feelings regarding the 2017 presidential candidacy. For this project I used Adobe Photoshop. This was a difficult task because the application is not the easiest to learn. But with tutorials and random clicks, I got it. For this project I chose to do 3D modeling. I wanted to learn how to use the application TinkerCad so I could apply this knowledge to other things I was working on outside of school. I decided to play with the shapes to create a chicken shaped coin bank. This project was not about what I created, it was about the process in which I got there. Overall this project was a success, I was able to familiarize myself with this application so that I could design bigger, better things. For my revision I chose to enhance my Quarter 2 image editing project. I chose this project because I wished to enhance the image quality subtly so that it could be that much better. This is by far my favorite project and I wanted to work on it one more time. I used the smudge tool and blur tool to clean up the edges around the edges of the cheeto. I also changed the order of some of the faces and added a orange filter to a few of the images. I feel as if this gave the image a cleaner look and a clearer display of what my image represents. A highpoint of this course in regards to this class is I have become insanely familiar with different applications and their functions. I can say that this class has helped me with tasks I do throughout my school day and extra curricular life. I was apprehensive to be a part of this class at first because it seemed like it was a waste of time, but my expectations were exceeded. This class has forced me to manage my time a little better. Meeting deadlines was harder at first because I was too focused on other classes, but my priorities have changed. I used the 3d Modeling skills I learned in this class in my Digital Fabrication internship at the Franklin Institute. I have to create two hands on activities teaching kids about brain waves. My knowledge of the application TinkerCad allowed me to use their 3d printers to create brains and lasercut wooden cards. An interesting project for next year would have to be something with coding. I think that many people will benefit from this skill and can maybe create applications. TURN IN CHECKPOINTS ON TIME AND COMPLETE. Choose projects that are interesting and challenging. Use the skills from this class to help you with other projects.
