Water Pollution PSA

We chose the topic of water pollution because it is an issue that has been happening for a while now. It’s important we know what the issue is and how we fix it because it’s a source we need regularly. The contents of our video include the format of an ad in the beginning that most people would skip. As you continue to watch the video you’re able to learn a lot of useful and important facts about water pollution. You will also be able to learn how to reduce water pollution by the end of the video.

What did you do well and what could you have done differently? Something I think I did well was getting the appropriate information and the right amount in the video. Meaning it’s not too little information or not enough. Something I could have done differently was explained some of the examples of sources of water pollution more.

What was the most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA? The most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA was making sure the facts were coherent and correct so people could actually learn about this issue. Then at the end of the video people being able to learn how to help reduce this pollution is really important.

Overall, making this PSA was a fun experience. Most PSAs I’ve watched were always boring as a kid and made me forget about the issue the next day. The funnier/ more creative ones have stuck with me to this day so I think that’s the best way to reach people. Oil spills seemed like an interesting topic just from pictures of the ocean on fire alone, so we figured that’d be one people would like. Overall I think the only thing we would do differently is add more info, but we did get an unexpected dose of information from Zoe, and that whole part wasn’t planned at all.

Water Pollution PSA

My group and I talked about how communities of low income go through different types of illness because of where they live due to water pollution. Inadequate funding and resources and industry pollutants caused the water that is used for drinking to be heavily polluted. We describe the causes of water pollution along with how/what we can do to reduce water pollution providing cleaner water for those that need it. In the back of my mind I’ve always known that water pollution is a thing and that it could possibly cause damage to people drinking it and I never really thought that it would really affect people in America. Well I was obviously wrong. I’ve been able to have clean accessible water whenever I need/want it and not everyone could say the same. I personally could have done a little more research even though I thought our research was adequate. Maybe we could have asked around.

PSA

We chose this topic because water pollution is negatively impacting low-income communities and destroying the world. I think we should have started a bit earlier to plan for the video to do differently next time. The most meaningful experience of the PSA was realizing that people skip ads no matter what it is.

Water pollution PSA

We chose this topic because water pollution is a major thing in our world and has been affecting us for our whole life. Our video basically plays two parts, the beginning is like an ad on YouTube that people tend to skip because it has nothing to do with them. The rest of the video hits you with hard facts and reasons that water pollution can be reduced and places with them can come back if enough people is involved.

PSA

In our video, we talked about how communities of low income go through a lot of heat exhaustion. We are trying to show that there are resources for this issue. I actually know about a lot of people I know whose parents aren’t able to afford AC which is baffling because I am so privileged to be able to have that. I think I did well in the acting part. That was definitely my favorite part also. I felt like I could improve on the research portion. I felt like I could’ve gotten more information and maybe added it to the video. The most meaningful part was recording with my group. It felt like we were so passionate so it was less scripted.

Excessive Heat PSA

Our video was to act out how many minority groups and communities are dealing with excessive heat and we also went into detail about how many people in Philadelphia are impacted by excessive heat and also the effects that it has on people and the actions that can be taken to resolve the issue of excessive heat. We also explained what it was and how it isn’t common in everyone’s life and not everyone is educated and understands what it is.

We did well will scripting out something that was realistic and making it easy for people to envision how it would be with people from different places in reacting while living with different issues. We also did a good job with being creative but also informative. We could’ve explained more about what excessive heat actually was rather than just acting it out.

The most meaningful part was coming together as classmates and creating the video, it was fun to act it out and edit the tiktok with my group. Also, creating the script and combining ideas was important and meaningful to me.

Oil Spill/Pipeline PSA

Throughout the course of our video, we talk about the impact of oil spills on our planet and oceans. We talk about how they affect aquatic habitats and wildlife, not to mention the effects this has on us as well. We did well with our information gathering and research, we found lots of material to use in our video on the topic. The most meaningful part for me is seeing the impact our video will have and hoping we will help to bring awareness to this issue.

Environmental Justice Mini PSA

The subject of our video is lead poisoning and its consequences for the human body. Sam and I chose this issue because we felt it was important to raise awareness about the effects of this problem and to teach people how to improve their health. We could have done a better job planning and communicating our benchmark. There was a misunderstanding between us about the subject of our film. We could have done things differently if we had been in class and talked about it. Understanding the significance behind our film and working to provide a solution and convey awareness to individuals who are less fortunate is the most meaningful aspect of the PSA experience.

Air Pollution

Basically, I chose air pollution for my topic because it has always been a problem that has been talked about on multiple occasions, but is still deemed as not important enough to actually pursue change. This is like the air we breathe in every day and it could possibly one day become very toxic and will be our downfall. Some things I did well will be probably the research aspect cause I had to like probably research thoroughly to make sure that I got the correct information. Some things I would probably do differently would be time management probably and yeah.

Water Pollution PSA

Each year, unsafe water kills more people than all other forms of violence put together. Water quality issues have a direct impact on aquatic wildlife, plants, and mammals. Water is both a basic necessity and a major environmental issue that we face on a daily basis. Water is life, and we must protect it for the sake of our environment’s health and our own personal well-being.

Oil Spills / Pipeline PSA

In this video, we discuss harmful damages that are caused by human mistakes like oil spills to our environment. While also taking information from one of the largest oil spills that’s happened ever. The video also touches on data about how much wildlife this hurts and solutions that are taken to further prevent dreadful events like these to happen. I feel like my group did well putting in the effort when it counted the most. We all pitched in and played our roles well in order to come up with a sustainable conclusion. The most meaningful part of creating this PSA was to have a chance to voice out our writing and the information that we gathered as a group.

Water Pollution PSA

The contents of the video include the causes of water pollution and some added statistics to back up our claim. I feel this is an important topic to touch on because we use water for everything in our lives. It is extremely vital to our existence and way of living. I feel like we did our script very well and included good facts throughout the PSA. What we could’ve done differently was the approach. I feel it could have been recorded differently. All in all it was meaning full because we all learned something new

Water Pollution in Philadelphia

When I think of water pollution I think of plastic in the oceans, trash, and all of the waste that has been blown out into the water caused mostly by humans. Water pollution is the release of substances into bodies of water that makes water unsafe for human use and aquatic ecosystems. This could be caused by runoff, animal medicines, slurry, sewage sludge, and manure, Water pollution is a huge problem that affects not only animals but humans as well. The video that we’ve created allows us to identify what water pollution is, who is affected by it, and other information that was needed. I feel that overall my group did a good job with creating the information but we could have worked on time management a little bit better. The only thing I would have done differently was to think out the video more thoroughly even though it’s good there is always room for improvements. Looking back at our video there wasn’t a most meaningful part. I feel that everything we said was meaningful because water pollution gets talked about but not as much as it should. Just learning about new ways water pollution can affect many different factors was the most meaningful part.

Environmental Justice PSA

We feel lie water pollution needs more attention and is a serious topic. This is a widespread problem and is jeopardizing our health. Having unsafe water is killing more and more people each year than other forms of violence combined. Poor water quality has a direct impact on aquatic wildlife, plants, and other mammals. Water is essential to life and is a serious ecological threat we face every single day. Water is life and we need to protect our water quality for the health of our environment and our own quality of life. I feel like the video me and my group created was an understanding of why water pollution is very dangerous. I believe even though we didn’t have a lot of time my group did a great job. I believe the most meaningful part of creating this PSA was learning more about water pollution. I didn’t realize the effect and the dangers of water pollution and how many lives this pollution is affecting till this day in other countries.

Plastic Pollution PSA_Patrick Hannon

As I provided a summary that would understand our video has a relation to plastic pollution. This has gone over many cities and many states for the last time. It’s time for a change and it’s time to give back to our communities and to our planet. Some of the many things that I had thought that our group has done well, that could have come with a different outcome was the transition between two different sets of what plastic pollution is. What are the most meaningful Parts I had thought throughout, creating this TSA is the idea of the class coming together presenting different types of pollution, and trying to give their understanding as well as their point of view of it all. https://youtu.be/xbgEx5ZASY8

Oil spill/Pipeline PSA

In the video that we made about Oil spills and Pipelines, we explained the oil industry’s impact on the world and its economy. After that, we went into how it negatively impacts the oil industry has on not just the world, but on the wildlife. In the video, we also mention one of the biggest negative events about Oil in history. I chose this topic because this is a topic that has been recently re-brought up in the news and that still today the world is reacting negatively to the impacts that the oil industry has on it.

If I could say what we did better was to make the video altogether, not in different places, and we could’ve been better at uploading the checkpoints.

I find that the most meaningful thing about creating this PSA is hoping people listen to why what we are talking about is important and have them feel inspired and want to solve the problem.

Environmental Mini PSA

My group and I created a PSA about lead poisoning and how it impacts people, especially children in Philadelphia. As I have learned about the harmful impact of lead poisoning in class, this made me choose this topic. I liked the whole process of making a PSA about issues that people are facing in our community. A good thing was that we communicated well as a group to finish this video on time. If I were to do this PSA again, I would’ve like for us to be in the video for at least part of the video. I think the meaningful part of this experience is that I was able to be a part of spreading awareness that might possibly help someone.

Plastic Pollution PSA by Kylee Mitchell

Our video consisted of the problems that the production of plastic creates. The only solution really is to stop the problem at the source and stop plastic production altogether which is a really hard thing to do. I chose this topic because we didn’t really discuss it in class and I liked being able to talk about it here. What went well was being able to find a lot of information on the topic. A lot of people talk about it. What could’ve been done differently was the way we edited the video. Perhaps he could’ve done it in a more professional kind of way. The most meaningful part of creating the PSA was getting to do it with the lovely Cyni.

Plastic Pollution PSA

A reason that I wanted to choose this topic is that I was interested in finding out just how much plastic pollution affects the earth. What our video was about was basically throughout the video we explained how plastic pollution affects the earth and we showed many examples. We showed how they affect sea life and sometimes kill them we showed how plastic is just used as litter and is all over the ground and how we use it every day.

Something that I would have done differently is that I would have added more about how plastic pollution affected sea life. I think that would have been better to add more.

The most meaningful part of this PSA project was finding this new information that I had never known, and it was interesting and devastating at the same time to find out.

Plastic Pollution PSA

In our PSA we talk about how much plastic is being used and how it affects our environment and Animals. we also address how recycling doesn’t really help with the issue as it usually ends up in landfills or in the oceans. we chose this topic because it was something new we didn’t learn about in class and because it was something that we see every day in our communities.

I think that we did a pretty good job on the video but something we could have done better would probably have to be on our script and planning what we wanted in the video. we didn’t really know what we wanted and just made up as we went.

I think the most meaningful part of creating the PSA is in my opinion realizing how much plastic we use and how bad it is for the environment but not really being able to do anything about it because getting rid of plastic entirely would take a lot of time and money. and recycling doesn’t always guarantee that it won’t end up in landfills.

Environmental Justice PSA

This video is essentially a news broadcast that covers air pollution as a whole. The video features information about what air pollution is, the dangers, how to prevent it, as well as supplemental aspects. Each person introduces a topic within the realm of air pollution while another person expands upon it. I chose this topic because I had a sufficient amount of information regarding air pollution prior to this project, so I thought it would be efficient for us to make great use of it. My group did a great job of saying each of our lines and providing information. However, one thing we could have done differently was a record at a table to make it seem like a news broadcasting desk. The most meaningful part of creating this PSA was gathering the information and seeing how air pollution affects us as a whole.

Lead PSA

https://youtu.be/LuOvMs2DNWQ

Our video includes the effects of lead poisoning, who it affects the most, and what causes lead poisoning along with solutions. We chose this topic because of how prominent lead poisoning is in Philadelphia. Lead can be found in paint, pipes, and more all-around Philadelphia. Lead poisoning is a crisis happening in our city today. Spreading awareness about this topic is detrimental to warning our community of the dangers of lead. I wish we had more time to edit to make our video more stylized. The most meaningful part was seeing people’s stories and experiences with lead across Philadelphia and how prevalent the problem was.

Environmental Mini PSA

First, we wanted to introduce the PSA with an interesting fact that would grab our audience’s attention. Then we described what lead poisoning is, common sources where people can obtain lead poisoning, and some of the long-lasting effects that can be correlated with obtaining lead poisoning. We also described people who are affected the most by lead poisoning, why lead poisoning is an environmental justice issue, and potential solutions to the lead poisoning issue. I think our group communicated well and our PSA turned out as planned. I think something we could have done differently was how different cities were facing lead poisoning issues but in different ways than Philadelphia. I think the most meaningful part of creating the PSA is creating a professional final product that could be used to influence positions to take a bigger stance on the lead issue we are facing in Philadelphia and all over the United States.
