The Internet and Us

1)  My online choices affect me in many ways. The things I put on the internet reflect who I am, and those choices give people a certain perspective of me. Whether it's Instagram, Google, or a school website I should always be careful of what I post.

2)  The choices I make online can also affect other people. Depending on what I post my actions can either hurt or enlighten them. For example, if I were to post a mean comment about someone on the internet it could be very hurtful to them, but be very funny to other people.

3)   My #1 tip for people posting online is to be careful, you never know how what you say can affect others or even yourself, it's better to be safe than to be sorry.

The Internet and You

When online, make sure you watch what you write because your decisions of what you post can affect others. For example cyber bullying is a serious issue that is still active and mainly because of negative harassment from one user to the other on the internet.

The internet can really hurt your future if you don't watch what you post/write. Everything on the internet stays on the internet even if you delete it. Colleges/jobs look at what you post and they're not going to wan't to accept someone who is smoking/partying etc. every night so make sure you keep yourself together online and be mature.

My number one rule while being online is to be yourself. Its the best way to be and its better that way. No one likes a person who's totally different online, than in person.

Internet and you!

  • I described myself as responsible when I am online because I know my boundaries.
  • I motivate people when I post something online because I want to be able to touch people's heart.
  • My number one rule I gave myself was to be respectful when I am online because I want people to view me as a nice person.

The internet and you

My online choices effects me by situations that I get into because of what I get into.

Your online choices effect others by outcomes because you can get caught in the crossfire.

My number one rule for posting online is safety because you have to watch out for predators and catfish.

The internet and you

When you are not responsible online you could seriously hurt someones feeling and start something that could never stop

When you are not responsibe onlineyou start to feel bad about what you did because you know it wasnt the best thing to do.

My number one rule is to stick together and be friendly to other people don't use the internet to abuse other people.

The Internet and You

My online choices can affect what college I go to because if I post something like I hate school then that college wouldn’t want to accept me.

My online choices affect other feelings because I could post a bad picture of them or call them ugly or anything like that, and their feelings could get hurt.

My number one rule for posting online is think before you post because sometimes you aren’t thinking and you just post a funny picture, but really other people are getting offended by it and don’t find it funny.

The Internet and You

The internet affects you because you may not realize but you could be breaking the law. If you are cyber bullying someone you could end up serving jail time.  If you are bothering someone or even threaten them you could serve up to 90 days.  If it guess worse you could even spend your whole life in jail.  It could be two ways you could be nice or spend time in jail.

If you don't watch what you say you could end up hurting people.  You could make them sad or even suicidal. If they kill themselves it would not be a joke anymore and once again you could go to jail.  Not to mention people will not want to be your friend anymore.

When we say things we should consider how it will affect your future. Thinking can save from a bad situation. It decides whether you live a bad life affected by one mistake or if you get to live out your full potential.

The Internet and You

Being online affects me because everything I post creates my online appearance and how I am viewed by others.

Depending on what I post can make someone enraged if they do not agree with my opinion.

My biggest rule before posting is do think who would I be hurting if I post this. This is my biggest rule because I would not want to post something to intentionally hurt someone.

Fourth slide- Shows what you should do before posting online

The Internet and You

First Slide-
This slide is about you future because the photos you post can make a job interview harder to get.
Second Slide-
This slide is about friendship because if you post a photo of your friend that you think is funny, they could think it is mean and you could start to fight.
Third Slide-
The most important rule online is to think about what you post before you post it. You should think about who is going to see the photo because if you post a picture of you drinking, and your family sees it, you will get in trouble.

The Internet and You

Your online choices can affect the opportunities you have.

Your online choices could have both a positive and negative affect on people.

Physics with Adults

Newton’s Laws of Motion
  • Newton’s First Law: Every object moves in a straight line unless another force is applied

  • We are going to focus on Newton's laws and forces with Septa.

What exactly is a System Schema? For those who may not know what a system schema is, it is an outline or diagram showing how objects interact with the system.
What is a free body diagram? A free body diagram are diagrams used to show all the forces acting upon an object.
Screenshot 2015-12-08 at 8.58.27 AM.png
The system schema above, shows our scenario and how the systems are interacting with the objects/people. As seen above, Gravity is a force for all 4 objects. Human, handle, Earth, and the actual septa bus. A human standing on the bus while the bus is in place, starting from a complete stop, turning a right corner, turning a left corner, and coming back to a complete stop.

Screenshot 2015-12-09 at 10.00.53 AM.png Screenshot 2015-12-09 at 10.20.09 AM.png

This free body diagram and system schema above are both showings, of the exact same scenario. This is what it'll looks like before the bus is moving. A human standing on the bus, no motion is happening, the bus has not yet moved. There are only two forces in our system schema and free body diagram. Force Gravity which is pushing the person up, and force Normal is allowing the person to NOT go through the bus.
Screenshot 2015-12-09 at 10.02.56 AM.png
Here our system schema and free body diagram looks a bit different. Now the bus has made a left turn. When the bus is turning left, and you hold onto the handle, your body tends to move to the right(the opposite direction in which the bus is turning), because of force Tension. Again, we have force Gravity pushing the person up, and the force Normal allowing the person to NOT go through the bus.

Screenshot 2015-12-09 at 10.09.40 AM.png
Here we have the bus making a RIGHT turn. When making a right turn, just like the left turn free body diagram, you would go opposite of the way the bus is turning. By pulling on the handle force Tension is moving left. Again like in all free body diagrams, force Gravity is pushing up, and force Normal is pulling up.

The bus is coming back to a complete stop.
Screenshot 2015-12-09 at 10.00.53 AM.png
The bus makes a complete stop, so there is no more tension and or any other forces being applied. Gravity is holding the person up, and for Normal is allowing the person not to go through the bus.

So.. Think? Without gravity being on every free body diagram, the person would just float up, and without force normal also being on every free body diagram the person would just go through the bus.
Keep this in mind.....
You're a human on a moving septa bus, and you decide to either walk to the front or to the back of a septa bus.
This system schema is showing how our objects are interacting with our systems. We have 3 different forces involved with our system schema which means there will be 3 different forces in our free body diagram.
Screenshot 2015-12-10 at 11.30.18 AM.png Screenshot 2015-12-10 at 11.30.24 AM.png
The free body diagram to the right shows if the person were to walk to the front of the bus, when walking to the front of the bus, force Friction will force you to the back of the bus with a pull.
The free body diagram to the right shows, force Friction forcing you to the right. This shows when walking to the back of the bus, which means you are being forced to the front of the bus with a pull.

survival guide A.B

  1. Who are you online, how do you appear? I appear to be a wise person on the internet that look in the future to check there won't be any conflicts.

  2. How do you think people perceive you, based on this appearance? They think I’m a person who you shouldn’t mess with that much. Or they would get bored of me really fast.

  3. What do you consider before posting anything online? Every thing I like to look over everything that can start problems.

  4. What are the pros and cons of sharing online? That people can use that against me and the good things is that they can relate.

Explain how Lack of Control, Permanence and Immediacy have an impact on our online lives. Because people can have control of your live, like jobs.

social media guide

When I am online I am the same person as I would be in “real life”. I am the same funny , pretty and  nice person as I would be in real life. I log on my social media and i post and appear as myself , as people call it today i am not a “Catfish”

I think I am perceived as someone that is really pretty and nice based on what they comment and say.

Before I ever post anything online i consider what my mother would think if she sees it. If i'm posting a picture I make sure i'm not showing too much skin and who is in

There are many pros and cons of sharing online but I feel like comedy is the best one. A pro would be sharing a simple funny picture to make your followers or friends laugh but a con is if someone shares a personal photo that wasn't meant for sharing it can get out of hand.

Free speech is giving a peaceful way of speaking your mind and being able to say what you want without being disrespectful also what is not protected is when you freely speak but with violence and disrespect

Tips are to always be honest and not give out personal information.

My Social Media Survival Guide

Online I try my best to appear as mature and respectful as possible. Because of the past arguments and photos that I have posted in the past people may have viewed me as, fun, outgoing, crazy, and/or “too grown.” Now that I am much more aware of what I post now people may see me as, respectful, mature, and/or hard-working.

Consider these 3 questions before posting online….

  1. Will my college dean like what they see when searching me?

  2. Will my boss/supervisor like what they see when searching me?

  3. Is this the way my parents raised me?

Keep in mind that every and anything that you post online  is immediately out of your control and now that is permanently online and saved into your computer. Unless you personally make your accounts private any and every one is able to see what you post.

There are always pros and cons to everything. Pros about being and posting online is that, people are able to get information and stay in contact with friends/family. But… Cons about online is depending on how you say certain things people can get offended, you could also lose your job or not even get the job, and lastly you could not get into the college of your choice.
