How to use Wevideo By:Tsion Tucho

This video is the first step to getting to know wevideo and learn how to use it. The video that I have made is very simple and it is for first time user. I use Wevideo when I want to make an informative video especially for projects. It is very simple and if I forget some tips I can click on help and automatically there would be a person explaining the process which some websites don't do. The only bad thing about Wevideo is you have to pay if you want your video to be more than 7 minutes and 30 seconds, you have to upgrade. Also, you only get that amount of minutes once a month. What I did to accomplish this video screenshot every step that would take. The process was very simple because I got to know more about Wevideo in the past years so, every step that I made is what I am an expert in.  Wevideo is easy to use for anyone who wants to make a simple, easy, and cheap video.

Tech Project Quater 4

For this quater I learned how to use a little app to record my screen as I talk. Earlier in the year I used a website called adobe slate and I wanted to show the world how to use it. So therefore, I used a app called Techsmith Snagit. With this app I can show people how to use the website adobe slate well talking to them. Cool huh!!!! Well I learned how to use Techsmith Snagit and I thought it was very helpful. Not only was it helpful for me but it is also a great help to others that want to learn about other things. I think if I create a blog I can use that app to help me show others how to work different websites. This was a cool experience. One thing about the app is that it picks up lots of outside sounds. Therefore, you need to be in a more quite place to record. I learned that the hard way. But other than that I was fun to work with.

Tech Project Q4

Through out this process of this project I learned how to work a new app called Snagg it which allowed me to take a video of my screen as I explained everything that was going on. This is a app I will be able to use in the future when I have future presentations.I would recommend people use this app when trying to explain because it allows you actually show excatly what you are talking about

Instructional Video Of Motor Fan.

In my instructional video I decide to make motor fan for my tech project for quarter 3 and the reason why created because I wanted to create a small version of fan which run with Battery, I came up with smaller versions of motor fan that run with battery, So I can carry it with me anywhere I want, the reason why I make is and inspired me to make it because hot warm day at school I get really sweaty and because school fan is always at one of the 4 corner of the room and if you sit on others corner you will not able to feel the air, So I came up with old mind from childhood. The process that it took me to create this motor fan is about 3 hours, but technically it took be about two to three days because I was getting everything together. And I have learned lot of things during this project.

Life’s maze; you’re the puzzle solver

Life is a set of experiences that shape you up and make who you are. It depends on who lives it and how he/she decides to take course. Life is a puzzle that can be solved by choosing the right pieces or evading them. The same experiences that make up who you are, are the ones that will guide you towards success, in this case a : house / wife / kids / money / or just plain old success. YOU ARE WHO DECIDES TO LIVE, nobody else can control you unless you let them. Be you and only you, finish the puzzle awaiting you. One experience that shaped me up was when I was moving from my home country to another country in a totally different place. At first I felt uneasy but after a while I faced my fear of not fitting in and got accustomed to the new culture, environment, and manage to have a good experience after all. example: In my room I drew various boxes with sings of fragile and also some frames with photos of a family. I did this because it says that it reminds me when I was starting to move from PR to Philadelphia. It was a big leap that I never thought was going to happen, and it is something that I wanted to represent in my drawing. It connects to my experience because my house looked exactly how it looks now in the drawing.

Travel Project

The Travel Projects' objective was to create a travel company/agency. This project was a group project. Parts of this project included making a brochure, commercial to advertise your company, and a presentation or prezi. But this was not all, each group had to pick a place there "customers" would go to, like, Puerto Rico. For this project the groups had to make 5-day, 7-day, and 9-day packages. The packages had to include what the person would do each day spent at the Spanish speaking place that was chosen. All of that was included in the brochure that had to be printed in color and in complete Spanish. The commercial was also in complete Spanish. The commercials idea is was to advertise your company, this included a number to call, and the company's' name. The presentation was to explain one of the packages, talk a bit more about wherever the chosen place was, and also go into more detail about transportation's, religions, touristic parts of the place, restaurants, etc.
This project was a "time taking project". To complete this project with exceeding expectations or meeting expectations the group must really be cautious with time, because there was so many steps to this. For this project my group and I work pretty hard for this but could've done better. Though the grade we earn was not what we wanted, we all enjoyed this project and all collaborated well together.

Poetry Project

For the poetry project students had to choose a Spanish/Hispanic poet from the ones provided. After choosing our poet we had to research and learn more about them. There was multiple tasks and parts of this project that was needed to complete in order to earn a good grade and meet or exceed expectations. These parts included writing a biography about the poet that was chosen by the student completely Spanish, find a poem that the student liked, write about what we thought about the poem, like themes, write an autobiography and also make a poem based on the same type of theme. All of these parts had to be completed in Spanish.
For this project I personally think I did very well. This was a pretty easy project and the parts of the project were easy to complete and exceed expectations. I enjoyed learning about the poets and also reading the poems that the poets made. In my opinion this was an easy project and interesting. This was an easy A project as long as the student completed everything correctly.

This picture has no meaning it is something that I thought about while drawling i so it is a bunch of random things. If this things didn't exist i wouldn't know about them nor like them so the influenced me. I picked a random place to put this so that everyone could see it, it wasn't special. No my views on art has not changed what so ever.

Art and Math behind the Spiral of Theodorus

The spiral of Theodorus is based on the Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean Theorem is a that proves that the square of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. The spiral of theodorus starts with a right triangle. The right triangle is also isosceles meaning that two sides of the same length and then you have the hypotenuse. The outside  length is always 1.

Art pro

To create the spiral project you will need mixing right  triangles with different size. Then to measure or put  every single triangle inside the Spiral accurately you should use the protractor. And also to calculate the hypotenuse of the triangles you will need to use this solution which is A-square plus B-square equal to C- square ( a^2 + b^2 = c^2).

Making this piece of artwork is very simple to do because all you have to know how to do is make a right angle. Just continue to make right angles and make sure one side is 1 inch and you will make a spiral. The math is super simple because once you know the square root of the first triangle it's pretty easy to find the rest. All you do is take a2+b2=c2 so for the first triangle shown above you just plug in the length of the sides that make the right angle and then square root it!

The meaning of my art work is that love is also hate. The definition of a love hate relationship refers to someone or something about which you have mixed feelings, both strong positive feelings and strong negative ones. Love and hate are two different but extreme opposites, yet they exsist in one person. You put them on opposite hands yet both hands are a part of you. you cant love without hate, and you hate without love. What inspired my work is the different levels in relationships , there is always an love hate moment. My location is in front of the art room because love is art.

WHITEBOARD PAINTED WALLS PROJECT

Science Leadership Academy at Beeber in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is looking for a grant to provide the students clear, focused and interactive space…. (some more intro).

Science Leadership Academy has approximately 325 students. Of those 325, about more than half use use the Engineering/Math room on a daily basis. Multiple students use the space has a collaboration space during lunch. This space engages in a lot of creativity, collaboration and innovation. However, the space is not engaging or pleasing to let ideas run and create. There is a small chalkboard space and unneeded construction paper that takes up space from drawing and sketching ideas.

Painting whiteboard paint hopes to promote effective teamwork and communication. If people find verbal communication an issue, whiteboard paint can open up a space for visual communication. It doesn’t require paper to be used for ideas, just draw and snap a picture. This project is to create a more welcoming environment where ideas aren’t limited to the size of a paper.

The budget required to carry out this project is $500. $450 will be spent on the painting material. We are looking to buy Transparent, Eco-Friendly Whiteboard Paint from Writeyboards for $150 per 50 square feet. The amount of square feet we will be painting is approximately 96.72 square feet. Thus we require two purchases, each at $150. However, to be on the safe side we would prefer to buy 50 square feet more paint. The rest of the $50 will be spent on paint supplies such as rollers and paint trays. We will not need much supplies as it is a one room project, a budget of $500.

To visually see a difference in the room with whiteboard paint, we have a virtual model. The model was created through Tinkercad, a real depiction of our Engineering/Math room. The image has been split. One side with the mounts, that we want to remove. One side with a view of how clean the room would look without the whiteboard mounts. Another image is of the side view, another place where mounts would be removed. It has the same idea as the previous one. It is clearly visible, a room without chalkboard or whiteboard mounts looks more modern and inviting.

Respectfully,

Mallika Saini, Emanuel-Spain Lopez, Jacqueline Shepard and Adam Bennett

Classroom improvement

Hand Sanitizer

There’s been multiple times i've when to the hand sanitizer dispenser for hand sanitizer and there’s none in there and it really frustrates me. So what my plan is I want to put hand sanitizers all over over the classroom. I think it’s best to have hand sanitizer because number one it's more sanitary and we always have engeneering after lunch and some people be playing basketball or doing whatever and it makes their hands dirty. Also there is never soap in the bathrooms so personally I am always looking for something to make my hands more sanitary. This project will not take long at all , all i'm going to do is go to like a dollar store and purchase 5 hand sanitizers and we can place 3 out in the class and keep 2 hidden for when they run out.

Wall Outlet Braces

Attention SLA@B Community!! Have you or someone you know tripped over a wall outlet that was pulled out of the wall, or have you actually pulled a wall outlet out of the wall? No? Well that’s okay! Mr. Rae Grant did (a few times)!

As you may or may not already be aware of, the wall outlets on the engineering/geometry room are not in the wall. They are mostly working, however they have been through months and possibly years of abuse from students yanking out their laptop and phone chargers, gradually making them less and less attached to the wall.

IMG_1273.JPG

Currently, the outlets are not just loose or moderately broken, but are completely out of the wall, and are dangling by the wire running up the wall. One of them is even able to be as far as a foot from the wall! We obviously need to fix this problem, as it may possibly cause an electrical safety problem, not to mention people constantly trip over them.

What do we do? Our team - made up of Jack, Dior, Diamond, Mya, Marcus, Ali, Skylar and Yari - have found a solution!

Wall braces!

FullSizeRender (1).jpg

These will be placed on top of the wire which runs up the wall and is attached to the outlets. It will keep a sturdy hold on the outlets and keep them attached to the wall. To make these, we will use SLA@B’s Makerspace so as to add no cost to the school because we are using resources which are already readily available for student use. These braces will be approximately 1” x 1” and will be held together with wood glue, as that is a strong adhesive and it is a small figure. Later, hopefully soon, they will be screwed into the wall.

Though this is not complete right now, expect to see them on the walls soon!

Mr. Rae-Grant will no longer trip over these outlets!

Clean the tables to tape ‘em, the students that clean get extra cred.{not the tables the pockets within the tables, tape the pockets shut after the clean}

Team

  1. Amna Clean ‘em

  2. Michael Tape ‘em

The tables are very dirty and student needs better grades. Only tape and soap and water and a pair of hands are needed. The students that clean get extra cred. In addition, only one person needs. Every person after that gets the job done faster. Afterward tape the tables so they can’t not dirty ‘em again. We can’t remove and we don’t use so taping is the best. Glue is too sticky. This project can be done today. Once the tables are clean and taped then the success is real.
