Cyberbulling is not just a case of hurt feelings anymore. It is something that causes deaths, depression, anxiety, and other things. The worst thing, these are children that are being affected by this. Cyberbullying and regular bullying fall under certain laws that could end in years in prison and fines. It's against the law, save a life, stop bullying.

Digital Citizenship

In tech class, we talked about digital citizenship. The picture I chose has a picture of a person typing with the caption "Being polite is the best when online". In the book lol...omg, we talked about many cases where people made terrible mistakes while online. While online, politeness is essential. If a person isn't, they could make a serious mistake and regret it later.

The reason why I choose this picture is because it has a deep message. In tech class, I learned about cyberbulling and the affect of it. People are offend by this type of message and they wanted to reaction in bad way. However, if people ignore these type of message, there would not be as many problems. When the bully realize that there bother you any more.

Think Before You Post

Everyone should think before they post. People do a lot of things online that get them into trouble. For example the girl posted the video about Asians expecting it to be funny but it really wasn't. If she thought about it and everything she said in the video she would have noticed that it isn't funny. When people think before they post they can ensure their post is respectful and responsible.

Cyber bullying is anything from posting a mean comment to personally hurt someone to spam.I choose this photo with the message of think before you post because many people don't.They just post thinking it's a joke when in reality tends to be really hurtful. It may be funny to you but no the other person.

I chose this picture because it shows someone sharing something. Maybe later he will regret sharing what he shared. That's why I said think before you share because if you don't you may regret it in the future. Like Ms. Hertz said in class she thinks why is she posting something before she posts it.

Think Before You Tweet

In tech this year we have learned that the internet is a very open place. We saw many examples of workers fired from their jobs and people not getting accepted to schools because of their tweets. This means that anything you do on it can come back to hurt you in the future. I chose this image because it seemed very natural and basic, and I think that blended well with the technology aspect of the caption. I also chose it because it follows the rule of thirds and looks nice.

"Pulling someone down will never help you reach the top." I chose this image because it suits a quote that picked that relates to cyberbullying. This quote relates to cyberbullying because i think that cyberbullies or any type of bully tend to put someone down so that they could feel better about themselves. To explain, usually bullies are people who are insecure about something and they want to take it out on people who are a weak target. But, really in the end the bullies are the ones who are getting punished for their actions instead.

Quarter 2 Project Statement

What was the purpose behind my project? The purpose was for people to find out who I am as a person. Besides the basics that I tell people in school who think they know me, nobody really knows except 2 of my closest best friends. I had hoped to learn how to become a better writer. I did learn how to become a better writer too. I learned how to describe myself in ways that I wasn't sure I knew how to. I feel that my project was successful. I definitely will keep up with writing on my blog because this was actually really fun.

Caleb Q2 project 1

  • I made this project so I can get better at making music. I also made it to get a better understanding of the program I was using.
  • I hoped to learn how to make different types of songs.
  • I learned how to correctly used the program and how to put the song together right.
  • I feel that I could of added more but I just couldn't figure out what I needed.

Quarter 2 Project Statement

The purpose behind my project is for people to get to know more about myself. Some people just know basic things about me, but they don't know my friends and what I like. I used to Stupeflix online video maker and that helped me learn more on how to use that. That was what I wanted  to learn to use. I feel as though my project was really successful. I think I covered the purpose of making this video. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!

The purpose behind my project was to get an idea of how beats are made and how to create a decent beat that someone could sing or rap to. I hoped to learn about the beat making process that producers go to. I ended up really learning what they go through and how hard the process is.  I feel that my song could have been a little bit better.

Greg & Dejah's Website

In this project we were hoping to learn the history of the NCAA and learn about the sport in general. The purpose was to make the website and it will help us learn about collage basketball and the great things dealing with it. I feel like I learn the different teams and different divisions. I thought that this project went pretty well, we divided the work and mostly got it done. However, if we were a little more focused would could of turned the project in even earlier. Overall, we did a great job and proud of both me and Dejah

Quarter 2 Project Statement

The purpose behind my project was to create a simple game using simple coding. While doing this project I hoped to learn how to create a game for the computer and to learn a beginner level of coding. I learned both of those things during the time that I worked on the project for Quarter 2. I think that the project was very successful because it showed my advancements in coding during my short time at this school

Tech Project

The purpose behind the project:
I created this project because I wanted to learn how to create an art using the technology. I was successful in creating my art but I found it very easy to do it using my computer because I was able to create a slide show and showcase it with music and titles, and edit it the way I want my viewers to see. I had hoped to learn how to use technology not only creating arts but also other things that can be easier for me to make and also the viewers that want to see clips, can find them in one place and not separate. I felt this project was a success but also informative for me because I learned technology is much easier for showcasing arts. I learned how to put all the arts together and edit and make it the way I want to showcase it.

ENJOY............!!!!!!!

I choose this picture for many reasons. This is a picture of a boy using a computer. It is copyright free and is a amazing picture. The message I am trying to convey is that the internet is not given to everyone; therefore it is not a right but a responsibility. Not everyone gets to use the internet but the ones who do should be responsible when using the internet.

I chose this picture because it shows a girl crying on her knees.  This could be her reaction to sending something online that she did not mean, and she can't take back. This may have ended up ruining her reputation or even her life.  This could also happen the other way around.  She could have received something that was really upsetting by someone who did not think before they sent it.  She may now be feeling really sad or even depressed.

Trust is something that is worth protecting and cannot be taken advantage of. Trusting someone takes commitment and honesty. Without those thing you really can't trust people. This picture means to me that we all have to trust at one point, but we have to pick the right people to trust.

LGBT youth experience cyberbullying 3x the rate than straight youth

"LGBT youth experience cyberbullying 3x the rate as straight youth."
Jack Kleiner
I chose to use this image because it depicts a character named Felix Dawkins from the BBC television show Orphan Black, who is a homosexual male. This correlates to my message about how LGBT youth are significantly more affected by cyberbullying than that of cisgender and heterosexual youth because of this character being homosexual and facing occasional homophobia in the show. My goal with this ten-worded message was to inform people about how much oppression and hate LGBT people face in comparison to other people on a daily basis, especially when it comes to being online and cyberbullying. There are many ways that a homophobic person can affect an LGBT adolescent which would simply not affect or be a worry for heterosexual or cisgender youth. This includes various forms of profanity and extremely offensive and disgusting slurs, as well as there being a higher risk of suicide or self injury as a result of homophobic cyberbullying. I wanted to convey this message because I have had several experiences with this form of hate (cyberbullying and homophobia/transphobia) and would like to inform as many people as possible about the affects it can have on youth - young adolescents who are still growing, developing, and forming their own opinions on the world and themselves.

Hurtful things you do behind a screen travel beyond it.

The image I chose represents something that can be a result of cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying can have many effects on the victim of it. Some of the effects include long-term depression and low self-esteem. Those effects may lead up to the suicide of the victim of the cyber-bullying. The suicide that the victim executed would be, en-turn, your fault since you were the one who bullied them enough to drive them to make that decision. Suicide is something that is on the minds of those who are and are not being bullied. You don't want to cause that death would you. The blood of the victim would be on your hands and there is no way you could ever get there lives back. So the message I am trying to convey with this image is that with every hurtful word that you type to someone they most likely will take what you said to heart and cause them to feel dejected. Then that feeling of dejection might lead them to make drastic decisions regarding their lives. So don't say or do mean things over the internet please, unless you want to trow away their life in which is being held in your hands.

I chose this image because I feel like this is something my audience can relate to while I explain the moral. I also, picked this image becuase Elvis was somebody who was assumed to be happy since he was wealthy and a celebrity but tthis may have not been true behind close doors. Simply, I picked this image because of the way it caught my eye compared to all other images related to my moral, and because his smile was sort of a sly it wasn't really conveincing that he was happy. Lastly, I chose this because Elvis wasn't such a great man he talent honored but he was disrespectful to blacks who may have pretended to be happy to meet him.
