I chose this memoir to match this drawing because I love the living room in my house and that is where is spend most of my time at beside my room. The living room explainded my memoir greatly because the couch is my favoorite part of the living room and I made it pop out the most.

Ken Masters Room

My 6 word memoir is "Forward - Down Forward- Forward- Heavy Punch". I chose these words because it is the input for the Ken Masters' signature move, the Shoryuken (Heavy variation). I designed the room to match his personality, show his accomplishments being World Champion, and show his love for his family Eliza(wife) and Mel(son).

How to Use 5 iMovie Features

When I was doing the screencasts for the video you have no idea how many times i messed up, and had to start all over. I had to use my mac computer, because for one the chrome book does not have iMovie, and second my chrome book is messed up. This makes things harder because I had to find a good app in the app store... that was free. Which can be rather difficult. Nonetheless I was able to find one. So when I finished with the screen casting I had to find a way to download the video it took, because this was an internet based app. This meant that I had to figure out how to download a screencast from online. I was able to figure it out after looking at sources from google for half an hour. The ironic part is that I edited the video with iMovie. This was a really good learning experience, because it was the first time I had ever done a screencast. I definitely think that I would use that tool again for a project.

Here is the link to my video on youtube just in case the code I embedded does not work:

Final One Point Perspective Project

"I'm cracking up. I'm cracking up."
My backstory to this is I say this a lot and everyone knows that I say this for different meanings. For example, I say I'm cracking up to when things are really funny and to things that I think is annoying. I also say this to express how I feel about certain things. My 6 word memoir connects to my room because it shows that I am watching television and it shows me and my life when I'm saying, "I'm cracking up." One experience that illustrates how I arrived at the memoir is when I realized that I had to think of something that resembles my life I thought of something that I say a lot to every situation in my life which is, "I'm cracking up. I'm cracking up."

Lost family.Gained friendships.Life happens.

In the beginning of this year I was going through a lot, like losing my grandmother and cousin back to back. But even though there were hard times I still had friends and family who were there for me and still are.Even when the good and bad things happen don’t let it stop you because LIFE STILL GOES ON.And that’s what I had to learn. The pictures in my drawing represents friends and family in my life.

Happiness is Around the Corner

My Memoir means that someday, eventually we all will be where we want to be, we all will meet who we need to meet and all will own what we want to own in life if we just work towards it.
My memoir connects to my room because one day i want to own a big house that's very roomy and full of space which fits into owning what I want to own.
I fit into the memoir because I know that soon enough, I'll live in the same house I created and I'll live their happily.

How to use a Smore flyer

For my reflection piece I did a video on how to use a Smore Flyer. Smore is a website that really helped me out during this year in various projects. It's really easy to get all your information up on the flyer while looking visually appealing. I really do like all the options that Smore offers while creating a flyer. The technology I used to create my reflection video is TechSmith which records your screen and audio. During my rough draft I was a dummy and I hadn't realized that it was recording my audio. I had just wrote out my explanations in the text boxes and when I looked back at the video I heard everyone talking. So that was a lesson that I learned... to pay more attention. My final draft I took that into consideration, went to a quieter place and tried recording there. The mic is really sensitive and I wish it didn't. But overall, TechSmith is a cool extension that I can use in the future and I'm happy that I got to work with it now.

Boo's Room!

My One point perspective drawing is based off of boo's room from Monsters Inc. I picked this specific room to drawl because Monsters Inc is my favorite movie and boo's room plays a key part in this movie. This movie also shows a child getting along with 2 monsters that to me makes me think about how everyone is different but they can put those differences aside and get along together, become friends and this is the message this movie gives me. Nothing more to say Like I said it's my favorite me like of all time so this is why I drew this.

By the way I forgot to take my picture so I have to add that sorry Ms.Hertz

Hector's Spiral of Theodorus

In order to create the spiral(aka the rams horn) You are going to need a protractor, because without it you are not going to be able to do the math portion. You can start off by putting the dot anywhere on the blank piece of paper that you have. Once you have your dot you want to create a line that is an inch long. Then create another line, that is also an inch, where it would create a 90 degree angle. Then connect the 2 ends of those lines in order to create your right triangle. From there you are going to use the hypotenuse from that triangle as your base for the next triangle. You will then repeat the process. The spiral of Theodorus is based off of the pythagorean theorem. The equation a^2+b^2=c^2. When you simplify the answer for c^2 by square rooting it, that will be your hypotenuse for that triangle. When you see the hypotenuse for all the triangles you will see a slight increase in your numbers as you keep adding triangles. You will get to a point where there will be no more room for any right triangles. That is when you know you have finished. If you're feeling creative you can make your own design with the spiral, such as I did by making it the horn of a ram.

Day 1...characters made me laugh

Since Day 1 characters made me laugh. Fictional characters like Looney tunes and tom and Jerry kept me laughing when i was upset or down. My favorite characters that made me laugh were Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird. I would watch these everyday, all day. Still to this day I watch them to fill myself up when I am in a bad situation. This room is just a sample of how I wnt my future how to look. The window in the ceiling makes me have different dreams that I can always tell a story to a friend or family member about. The table is where everyone I invite can sit and talk about anything on our minds. Dresser is for secrets to be kept because when I was little I hd a lot of the Looney Tune characters and I would tell them my secrets. The mirror on the wall just reminds me everyday hat I don't need anybody because I had a good childhood and I can be very successful.

Art Project 4th Quarter

This is project is one that I started in the 2nd quarter I Realized that the school doesn't have anything from the seniors starting class as far as artwork goes so I created this piece below based off of the student bodies and my own opinion on the school and life.

This project was one I did in the first quarter I wanted to do a painting because I always draw and I wanted to see how skilled I could be with a paint brush. I wanted a symbolic mother earth in my piece and a Clift the entire piece was based around the idea of having a clift the piece was supposed to

As an artist I don't think I have grown too much. I haven't pushed my artistic skill I just did something different through each quarter. I knew exactly what I was doing with the art and just executed, it was pretty easy.

I have learned that as far as the research goes I don’t have any drive to be consistent with the research. And it would be easier for me to just tell you why I did what I made

  • “What have you learned about making Art?”

I haven’t learned much about art this year tbh I was mainly experimenting with different ideas and cultivating the skill set I already possessed and based my pieces around an Idea I had. I’d go as far as to saying I challenged myself with certain aspects of my creation.

  • “What have you learned about yourself through the projects you have created?”

I learn that I can be versatile with the equipment I use for creative purposes. All I really need is to have the right teacher and a few classes to master the skill and work things out visually and inside of my head as far as the techniques I gather for my art work.

  • Which project are you most proud of and why?

  • This should include an image of the project

I like the painting because it came out nearly like the way I wanted it too even though the original idea was more complex and might have looked better I enjoy the Pieces simpleness.

  • What is your biggest weakness or area in need of growth has been this year?

I biggest weaknesses I think are the fact that I shade pretty horrifically and I have a hard time scaling images up freehand, it always comes out too small or too big or things become disproportionate.

  • What kind of Art you want to make next.

Most likely a 3D model of something or I’d try different styles of drawing and paining because there's sooo much I have to learn from each art form. Maybe spray painting or really anything.

  • What kind of Art inspires you the most and why (MUST include a copyright free/Creative Commons licensed image and a citation for that image)

Music inspires me the most but lol as far as visuals all art that shows a new perspective of what we commonly see

Pride Strong But Mind Is Cracked

My six words are Pride Strong But Mind Is Cracked this is because my gay pride is one the things i hold dear and something I cherish and something that I love its apart of me and people who are extremists of their religion have the nerve to say its a diseases. This is very hurtful and something I hate that happens in the world I say that it doesn't phase me . But inside each homophobic comment hurts me and leaves my inside black and cracked each time they say something it chips away at my insides making my mind psychologically broken.

Jesus, Dominican, Education, I am unashamed

Jesus, Dominican, Education, I am unashamed.
This room has a table in the middle of the room. This shows what can be the last supple shown in a different angle. The last supper has to do with Jesus and God has been with me for the longest time. The lamb in the bottom left corner is everyone that are not unplugged in the world and has no education.

My room is a music studio. As you can tell from my six word memior I love music. So my ideal room is very much involved with recording equipment. This whole room defines my passion and I plan on having something very similar and/or better and bigger in the future. As of last year I have been active in the music making feild and I have discovered a new passion within music. That is where I got the inspiration to creat a musical studio.

I’m a model. I’ll be successful.

When I was 12 I started to think of things that interest me. Modeling came to mind. I told my mother that I wanted to model. She put me in John Roberts Power a modeling school. Paying sixty five dollars every Saturday I would go downtown during the summer to pursue my dream.  The school not only taught me modeling but etiquette and acting. I’ve been had the dream of one day acting this did not only help with that but with modeling too. After John Robert Powers I tried out for my first fashion show it was with “Suede Square”. I made it and from there people saw me model and wanted me for their shows. On Sunday May 22nd I modeled for “Malino di rouge”, she started young with her dream and now sells hundred dollar clothing. She successful with her line and one day I want to be the same. I chose to put a runway in my photo because it describes me and my life. My success one day will be from modeling I am confident and will be successful.

Music is on, thoughts are off-Julie Baker

Everyday I listen to music, it’s a habit that I love to do. When I am overwhelmed with work or stressed out about other things music is how I escaped, it’s my capture. I never do my work at home without it, it’s how I focus. In the room I created I have a records player and a wall old vinyl, since I like listening to old music. On the other hand, I have speakers which incorporated new music.

My best friend and I started to become the friends that we are because of music, we still always share different songs and artist for each other to listen too. That’s why I filled my room with music and musical things.

Drill Press Video

Using the drill press is actually really easy, and most of the time you're gonna spend using it is just adjusting the table, the chuck (spinning part that holds the drill bit), and moving the drill bit into the piece of wood you need to drill.

So if you're gonna use the drill press, you would probably first make sure there's a flat piece of wood clamped on the "table", have the light on, have the drill bit secured in the chuck using the chuck key, safety glasses, good leverage over the piece of wood you're gonna drill through (can be clamped), and the power on.

This was actually the second time I edited a video, but I think it's acceptable.

The hardest part in making this video would actually be waiting till the makerspace was empty enough to record, because apparently people like to talk.

Editing wasn't too hard, especially because all I did was cut certain parts out to make the video less time consuming to watch. (Also was a lot easier because I wasn't using the horrid wevideo software)

TL;DR: Using the drill press is easy - Learned how to edit videos.

Basketball is my life long dream.

Basketball has been a big part of my life for the pat ten years. It keeps me foucused and in shape. It also gives me peace when I'm mad and joy when I'm bored. It also takes a lot of charecter to be a basketball player if you want to lead a team. I started young in middle school when I was the captin of the team. It was very frustating when we took big losses but it also helped me keep my cool in difficult situations on the court and in life. That is why I have a lot of basketball rferences in my room like the back board and NBA letters on the celling. As you can see playing profesional basketball player is my life long dream.
