My 6 line poem "Leaders lead, followers follow I lead" connects to my picture because its a representation of my room and i'm the leader in this. I've always been told to lead and never follow because you'll make all the same mistakes as others and never be special. Every time I make an important decision I think of how I can be different either clothes school mind whatever. I love being my self and different from the rest its what gives you the reality of what is going on around you.

Two best friends is a handful….

Having two best friends who act just like you is kind of stressful. Image having it being another two of you? As all friends do we have our ups and downs when we don't talk for days or get mad at each other for dumb things. My two best friends are Malaysha and Jada. We tell each other everything! I think it was meant that we were made best friends because if we were all sisters….. I am the youngest of the group, our birthdays all go in order by the month's, first December, January, and February. We have actually grew a bond so close that we actually tell people we are just related. We get in trouble together, lie together, fight together, argue together, and most importantly we are always their for each other.

Having all of us under the same roof gets us in a lot of trouble. Good thing we all went to different high schools. Jada is the comedian in the group. Malaysha is the one in the group that has a good forsite, and I am the trouble maker. All our similar personalities ties into one.  Our friendship will never be broken. Many more years to come and to build an even stronger bond!

"There's no one I'd rather be..."

This is about how I would never change myself so I can be ‘popular’ or ‘cool.’ I’ve seen people change themselves so they can fit into another group of people and I don’t see how they change so quickly. I would never want to do that. I would rather find someone who likes me for the way I am now. I shouldn’t have to change myself so I can be friends with people.

You hurt me, and I apologized.

you hurt me, and I apologized.

This is my childhood room, as a child I wasn't one to stand up for myself. I constantly took what was given to me without a word. It was hard for me to find a voice for myself outside of my home. Although I was not really bullied as a child, I felt singled out by both myself and my peers. Up until the sixth grade, I stayed in the foreground, didn't make myself well known. I avoided conflict at all costs. The phrase "you hurt me, and I apologized" comes from all the times I let the words and actions of those around me affect my person. Now I have learned to be my own person. Not everything is my fault. No one can compromise my character. The dead flowers and box labeled trash represents the death of the old me.

My Art!

My six word memoir was living in a basic town house. I chose this memoir because it is simple and it goes along with my drawing. Drawing this helped me visualize art in a different like the perspective of how things are drawn. I took my time and asked questions so that my drawing can come out nice. Hopefully I can reflect off of what I did so that next time I can make my drawing even better.

"A world made of candy, wow."

I picked this as my 6 word memoir because I love candy, candy is my first love. I think everyone likes candy but not like I do. I would cry if I never met candy, but I basically grew up with getting whatever I want so I mean, I would always ask for candy. Everyone knows how I feel about and it is always there for me, it cheers me up.

My 6 word memoir relates to my picture because it's colorful, has candy on the floor, has a sign with candy on it. This means I show my love of candy by creating this room. Without the candy it wouldn't really be much but a room.

6 Word Memoir:

“I visited death, we saw Lucifer”

I visited my friend Alexandru(Death) at D&S Towers, where we saw his boss Devin(Lucifer), and he was pretty upset because the demons had escaped Hell.

NBA Dream Marvel team love food

My six word memoir refers to things I like. I wish of playing in the NBA one day hints the “NBA Dream”. That is my dream job for when I get older. I choose the words “Marvel team” because I prefer the marvel universe over the DC universe. I also chose the words “love food” because i’m fat and I love food.

“I Am Suffocating, Always Feeling Trapped”

This painting is trying to show what it feels like to have a feeling of suffocation and feeling trapped within yourself. To show that I have the door and the windows blocked off with wood. That would be being “trapped”, having nowhere to go. The room doesn’t have much in it, it’s very empty and just has basic needs because, feeling like you are suffocating comes back to you feeling empty in a way. Like you keep coming back to the same things, nothing is changing, if anything getting worse.

Over 30, many more to go

This six word memoir is about concerts, for many reasons but mostly due to the fact that my father and I grew a close bond over them. When I was 7 my first concert was on a Friday and we sat in the very last row to see Green Day. Ever since then the bond with my father grew closer and stronger. Which lead to tons more concerts, many more.

Love doesn’t need a diamond ring…

Substance is not greater than what you feel. Someone can to you and give you the whole world. That doesn’t mean he can give what you need and make you happy. You should be happy with someone who can only afford to give you his heart. This room represents a person is independent and free. She does whatever she wants and isn't afraid to express herself.

Instructional Video for the Table Saw

This project was the most beneficial for me all year. This project gave me the ability to use the table saw. Using the table is really useful because it is an extremely dangerous piece of equipment. The table saw has the ability to execute a number of projects which is useful for you. I am now able to help a peer if they need help with following the correct procedures for the table saw. I decided to use the table saw for this project because this was a piece of equipment that I wasn't really familiar with. My friend Marcus was also a useful tool for this project because he broke the process down for me like i broke the process down to you guys. If you ever need help using the table saw refer to my video. Thank you I appreciate it.

One Point Perspective

I am more than you expect.

All throughout my life, people have doubted me. I say I would want to do something, and they say that I could never do that. But I always end up proving them wrong. When they say that I can’t do it, I go out and do it. For example, I got a rubix cube, and everybody said I wouldn’t be able to do it. I can now complete it in under two minutes. This happens with most things I do, but I will never give up. I will always go out of my way to do what I love to do no matter what people say about me.

I created this room the way I did based off of my memoir. People doubt me, so I created the best drawing that I possibly could. I created this room's color based off of a mix of my actual houses walls, and some of my favorite colors. For example, my dining room has a marble floor, so I drew the room with a marble room. I also tried to make this room as neat as possible, because I am a neat person.

Making moves. Slow feet don’t eat

Nothing is just given to you in life, if you want something you have to go out and get it. If you sit back and wait for things to come to you you’ll be waiting for forever. Do what you need to do to get things accomplished then in the end you will be able to sit back and enjoy life the way you want or planned. To me enjoying life is living life comfortably, doing what makes me happy, and being with my family.

The details in my drawing are some things I think show what you can get when you "make moves." There are stacks of money and keys to an expensive car because it implies that moves were made to get to that point. The big windows, bed and fireplace show also show that actions were taken to get the things they have.

" A very artistic and creative home. " This is my 6 word memoir and it basically describes my hobby for drawing. My room is actually inspired by my actual room in real life, minus the fireplace at the end of the room. The goal was to have canvas cover the walls and art work scatter everywhere. However i didn't manage that too well and my room ended up looking bare, in my opinion.

One Point Perspective Drawing

I found myself through beautiful music.

IMG_6890.JPG

As I drew this I realized the connection between my six word memoir. I chose this memoir not to say I learned who I truly was through physical music but there are things of art I found myself through. I know growing up I loved the comfortable environmental setting and I always loved fashion. All of these things are included because I love nature and I love my sleep too.

She is simple but she’s creative

IMG_5379
IMG_5379

Growing up you're introduce too many things. Whether it’s new people, new challenges, or new come ups. Walking into my room there’s nothing to be fascinated about. Unless you know me, and have met the creative me. The creative me wants design, has hopes, and sets goals. The simple me hides under boring and untouch topics. Knowing me, you know the creative part doesn’t come out unless you taken the time and effort to know the creative Savannah.

I’m not yet open. I’m not yet fully grown. “She is simple but she’s creative” because of how she addresses she’s on the low. Through the time of being in 8th grade I was introduced to many different people and in a different environment every day. I was never really notice and nobody really took the time out to know me and who I wanted to be. When not having nobody to talk to you always keep your ideas and thoughts to yourself.

Spiral of Theodorus

IMG_3220
IMG_3220
First I used a protractor to make a dot in the middle where the spiral would surround. I used the protractor to line up the triangles to the point at a 90 degree angle every time, I used the Pythagorean theorem to check that my triangles were correct. I made each of the triangles 1 inch toward the 90 degree angle which would then connect it to the next triangle.

In order to began making my spiral I started off with a right triangle. The first triangle starting off with one inch. Adding each triangle starting off with a 1 inch line, connecting the previous triangle to the next. I continued this process until I couldn't make no more. With each triangle the hypotenuse continuously increases.
Doing this project was fun and brought back some math memories from the 8th grade.

I created my spiral with all of right triangles. The first 3 were a little tricky but after a while it gets easier with the more you make. Each side of the triangle was also 1.5 in. although they did get bigger with the more I made. Although the original design was 1in. I didn’t want my right angles to be small so what I did was started at 0 and used my protractor to marker the 90 degree angle that was 1.5 in. apart from the triangle before that one. I continued this process until there were no more room to make another one.

In creating the Spiral of Theodorus, it involved using a protractor for the angles and the sizes. In order to create this art piece, you have to measure the base, of the length you want your base to be and using the protractor to make sure all your triangles have a 90-degree angle. First, you have to start your mid point and after that, you draw a triangle with all sides that are equal.
