Smore Tutorial

For my quarter 4 project in Tech class I decided to Make a tutorial on how to use and create a smore. When I first started using smore I found it really easy to use. However someone else might find it difficult to use so I wanted to do something about that.In my smore I talk about the basic steps to using smore and I even show a flyer I did previously for my English project.I hope people watch my tutorial and actually gain from watching my video.I could have done a tutorial on any other topic but I think smore is a important tool in High school. I think it's an important tool because when you go to a technology based school a lot of your work and projects is online so creating a smore can be a simple and easy thing to do for small project. Smore can be used for many other things other than school related stuff. If you want to create a flyer to spread awareness about a topic or event smore is a great website to use.I hope this  tutorial teach you a lot about smore and most importantly teach you how to use and create a smore.

The meaning of my work is showing that there is always someone watching you no matter where you are.  This inspired me because I enjoy drawing tribal art that includes a lightning aspect.  I choose to put my work in this location because people walk past the wall that it is on everyday.  This project changed my perception of art because it taught me that art can come in many different forms.  This project changes my perception of art as I travel the city because people will hang art anywhere but you won't know what the meaning is.

"Debut"

So, when I set out to make this I wanted to make a piece that called out America. We spend all this time worrying about "Diversity" and Gender "Politics". Little said in the news, China had a genocide, hey, there are people i the east getting aids because, up to date vaccines, who needs those!?  We live in a world with much greater issues than what you want between your thighs, or what animal you think you are spiritually. We live in a world with bigger issues than what group is offended by what word. Social Justice has gone so insane that it's killing itself, yet, North Korea is waving nukes around, and we might end up in a war that could ruin America even more than racism or misogyny. In the well fitting word of Frank, "It's time to stop!"

Well, just because i have to here are the questions
  • Why did you choose the location you chose?
I chose across from the stairway so that more people will see it.
  • How did this project change your perception of Art?
It didn't, I don't have any new view of art, bit I have more respect for the technique now
  • How did this project change your perception of Art you see as you travel around the city?
It didn't, I just look out for it more often

Growing Flower

The title of our artwork is “Different Stages”. It means that everyone is different and everyone is developing in different ways and at their own pace. This artwork was inspired by our friendship. For a long time we have been trying to see how we can all be the same, until we realized that we are all at different stages and we came to a conclusion that from our different stages and we will soon grow into our full potential. So we all agreed to draw the a flower growing through its different stages until it was full grown.

Our work is displayed on the right side of the third floor on the blue wall across from the windows. We chose this location because it was an area that was empty, which meant the viewer's attention will be focused on our work. The  blue background made the image pop more also.

Before this project, we didn't think very deeply about art. In the beginning, we didn’t think art really had a deep meaning. But now since we experience the critical thought process we understand that art has a bigger purpose than to just be seen. We also learned that we can use our lives as inspiration for our artwork. The way we viewed street art change as well, we no longer just see patterns and bold colors it is now more of a statement trying to be perceived that was carefully thought out and planned.

Street Art

1.The meaning is it is abstract and expresses many feelings.
2.I was inspired by artwork online.
3.I chose the location because it was hidden but people could still see.People will still see it.
4.It changed my perception because when I thought of art I usually thought of formal art and paintings but now I also think of street art and other arts.
5.As I walk around I see street art everywhere when before I barely cared or knew what it was.

"H.O.P.E." Sign

I created a sign colored in the basic colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) with the phrase "Hold On Pain Ends" leading across and down the square paper. The meaning of my piece is that even when times are hard and life seems stressful and hopeless, there is always hope around you somewhere. Then, when you dig deeper into the meaning of "hope," you find the idea/theme of the word (can be) hold on, pain ends, and that there is a light in your future, so don't give up. I included the rainbow background behind the phrase because in my opinion, rainbow's can represent opportunities and happiness that can appear in many forms, hence the multi colored patch. This ties together to show that hope is always around, and pops up in many different forms.

I am extremely into music, and I am always writing new song lyrics for myself. About a year ago, I decided to look up "life quotes" on google images to find inspiration for myself for a new song. That was when I came across a picture with the phrase "Hold On Pain Ends" and I immediately wrote it down because I thought it was genius! When Ms. Hertz explained to us what we were going to do for this mini project, I thought about the quote, and made the connection very suddenly to rainbows.

I chose to put my drawing/piece on the wall next to the door to the school store. I chose this location because I know that many students come by that area every day for the school store, as well as just to hang out, so I could be sure that my art would be seen by many.

I have realized that art doesn't have to be a drawing, it can be a phrase, or even a word, that has lots of meaning behind it.

There is much more art around Center City than I really realize.

My Unique Street Art!

The meaning of the work I created is Chinese letters that means Goddess. What inspired my work was the look of Chinese letters and the unique meaning. I chose to put my artwork by the office because everyone has to go by and/or to there throughout the day. This project changed my perception of art by showing that art can be anything as long as it has some kind of meaning or symbolizes something. This project changed my perception of art around the city in the same way but just makes it way more understanding as to why someone made it and put it where it is.

The meaning of the ribbon I drew is All cancer.

Amount of deaths that is caused by cancer inspired me to make this art.

I don't know why I choose the location Maybe because it's visible to others.

Art is not just a drawing it has a bigger meaning under it

I can see on some of the art what would want to make a person draw this piece of artwork.

Street Art

The meaning behind my picture was to tell everyone to love their curls/Natural Hair. Not a lot of people appreciate their natural hair state, so I wanted them to embrace it. My natural hair inspired my work, because at a point in time I didn't like my natural hair,  but now I LOVE it. I choose to put my picture below the stairway 4 sign. I choose to put it their because I felt like a lot of people would see it more because everyone uses those stairs. This project changed my perspective on art because I realized its much  bigger than just bold colors, and cool designs, it much more than that, its expressing yourself. It changed my perspective on art I see around the city because now I think about what did that person want to show me with that piece? Or, what does this piece stand for? Now I ask questions.

Street Art

My street artwork is named "dungeon". I decided to make the artwork simple and representational of myself because it would be more easier to understand. My meaning of the artwork is about life and how I am keeping up with myself. The meaning of the artwork is for you to decide what I am going through.
Along with my artwork, the only inspiration was myself. The reason why I decided to inspire myself is because, I can speak the most for myself. I cannot talk the opinions of others but I can talk about mine. Other than my inspiration of myself, I was not inspired by anyone else.

I decided to choose this location because I wanted a place where it would be far away from other artwork. Most artwork featured "happiness" "love" "future" etc, I did not want to destroy their value with my dark art. I chose a spot where it is dimmed, not bright, but does provide an exceptional view.

Although this is my old thesis of art, I would say that it did not change at all. Art is like literature, with a deep back story, and also with an experience. However, I believe the way on how you make art matters just as much. Therefore, my perception of art has not changed at all.

Previously like I stated, my perception of art around the city has not changed. The key factor of my thesis is the way on how you reflect your art on the world. If you decide to make your art for sale then so be it, however, art does not have a price. If you decide it does then so be it but are you really an artist with money instead?

In conclusion, this project did make me express my mind and released some of the negative thoughts over these months. The artwork did help me think about my self more often and the value of the colors changed my viewpoint when shading my artwork. This was a fantastic learning experience however, deciding the location was difficult.

Street Art- Shaylyn Westmoreland

The meaning behind the work I created was to show how I perceive beauty in the media. There are many people in this world who try to conform to what social media sees as beautiful, and it kills people inside trying to be like the other people they see. I was inspired by a picture of a rose. To me, a rose symbols beauty. I decided to post my artwork on the windowsill near Ms. Moran's room. Initially, I thought that art was just to be created and sold. Now I know that art is something that has a lot more meaning and heart in every artwork. Especially going through the city, street art is like a siren because of the message it is made to give and show.

The Heart N Soul

What is the meaning of the work you created?
The work that I created is an animal that carries the same traits as me and has a lot of meaning to who I am as a person.

What inspired your work?
I was thinking about who I am internally and me as a person (my personality).

Why did you choose the location you chose?
I chose the Ms. Connaghans room because that’s my advisors room. That room is where i’ll always go back to for my remaining years as a student of SLA. It’s a reminder of home.

How did this project change your perception of Art?
No it does not change my perception of art. If you're not one of those people who draw just to draw everything that comes from your pencil in the hand to paper really means something to the artist.

How did this project change your perception of Art you see as you travel around the city?
Everyone in our grade doing this is making our school look just like our community around us. People's thoughts and feelings are just everywhere.

Street Art Of Love

The meaning of the work I created is that the  is one of my things on what I created on my image. Somethings represents loyalty, while others represents kindness, the sign represent my birthday sign and someone important to me birthday sign.
What inspired me to do this art work was the way I felt inside.  I am kind and I have loyalty towards all my friends and other people until you cross me.
The location I chose was important to me because it is hidden. Only if you really look you will be able to find it. I chose for it to be hidden because that is how I am. I am hidden and I only allow a few people to know how I really feel inside.
This project made me think that I can do anything with no judgement. I can express myself to anyone no matter what and I don't have to explain myself if I do not want to.
It makes me think that no matter what everyone is an artist. No matter if you think it isn't art or if someone else doesn't it doesn't matter it is art. Everything is some form of art. I know this now because I've seen people who thought they couldn't draw and by the time some people were done they work they realized what a true artist they can be if they just put their heart into it.

The meaning of my work is my personality in emojis. These are everyday emojis I use to express my moods.

What inspired my work was a piece of street art that had money signs and peace signs. So, I put a twist of my own thoughts into it and added emojis.

I chose the location I did because a lot of people walk past the 3rd stairwell.

This project didn't change my perception, it just made art more fun.

Now all of the at I see around the city makes me think how people make it and think of the art they want to put around the city.

Street Art

The meaning of the art that I have created is a mixture of balance as seen in the yin yang symbol inside of the eye of horus which to me means higher power and in the background there is a peace sign.

What inspired my work is the years of research that I have done in order to out this piece together also the world and how dead and violent it is.

I chose the location that I chose because the area around it is bright and there is nothing else on the walls there which allows my work to be seen as one.

This project did not in any way change my perception of art because I already view art as a beautiful thing that has to be respected if it is liked or not.

This project changed my perspective of art as I see it around the city because now I somewhat understand that it takes time and thought and you can’t just rush it.

My street art

1. The meaning of my art is to shw the history of my culture.

2. Sometihng that inspired me to draw this was my dad because he started to tell me the history of our culture and I decided to include that in my drawing.

3. I chose my location because it looks like a good spot where evertone can see it when they are walking in the hallways.

4. This project changed my perception of art because it helped me realize that a lot of people include their real life into art work.

5. When I walk around the city I see all types of art and I never know what the art is trying to express but after seeing my classmates artwork and seeing what their artwork means I think I can understand city artwork.

SUPER TANK MATCH of the CENTURY

Street Art
Street Art
The meaning of my work is forgotten mechanical technology of WW II fighting it out. I want to show people the two massive prototype type tanks of the Axis Powers and the Allied Powers. I chose Mr. Hussey's room because it made me think of the history of WW II which should be credited to the technology also. This project change my perception of Art by think that everything I see around me is art. This project changed my perception of Art by making me think that street art isn't just illegal but it shows the artist will always be around wanting to do his/her big project.

Siani

  • The meaning of the artwork I created was to show my name I choose my name because this is who I am and this is what and who people know me by.
  •  I inspired my own work because this is my name and this is what I decided to draw. I love the fact that I have fire underneath my name because I believe my name is fire.
  • The location I put my art was next to Mr. Hussey door at the top. I chose that location because I wanted to put it somewhere were everyone can see it and that was the first place I saw that I really wanted.
  • I think that this project made me want to free draw more and just see what I can draw. It made think that you don't have to know how to draw to be an artist.
  • It change it because now I now I know that street art is how people make their career and many people that do street art are not criminals this is just how they let the world see there art.
