Q3 Botany Benchmark
For this Benchmark I learned about the differences in Urban Farming, Tower Gardening, and Hydroponic Farming. You can use any of these three methods of farming to your advantage. The only differences are the materials which you will use during the process. These benchmark also helped m in a way to understand farming a little more.
Blog Post BenchmarkQ3
For this benchmark, my group and I decided that we would study how the brain works during a comatose state. We also looked into a lot of other things about it. Here are our findings in the slideshow and here is our physical component.

I learned a lot throughout this benchmark. I didn’t know that doctors would induce people into comas.

Benchmark Blog Post
Form fits function. In a coma the brain stays the same. We learned about comas and how different comas happen. We have certain body parts that perform certain functions.
Coma
In our project we researched how comas happen and how they effect the physiology and anatomy of the project. We learned that there are different types of comas and ways to treat them. We also learned what chemicals are affected.

Dissociative Identity Disorder!
Sleep and the Nervous System
We learned about sleep and how it affects the nervous system. We learned that sleep can affect our mental and physical beings also. I have always known that sleep was important but I think it is helpful for me to learn all of the things that sleep can do to our bodies. My favorite part of this project was learning the information as a whole.

Human Anatomy Stress
Stress and The human body
I learned a lot about stress in the making of this project, I never thought about stress as a physical thing with it's own chemicals tied to it.

The Brain and Obesity
Our project focuses on how obesity, one of the largest health issues in America today, effects the brain and homeostasis. Through the completion of this project I learned so much about how obesity impacts every major organ system and how damaging it can be to the nervous system.

Dissociative Identity Disorder
Dissociative Identity Disorder
This benchmark gives a simple description of a healthy and non healthy brain with Dissociative Identity disorder or D.I.D. From this project alone I learned a lo about how our brain functions. Depending on the size of the parts in your brain. In this case if it's too small you won't be able to use it to it's full ability. Although people can survive and properly function without certain parts of their brain. With that being said only certain parts of the brain will be affected.
Schizophrenia
In this Project we learned the different ways schizophrenia affects the brain and I learned that schizophrenia tends to affect people more as they get older and it usually worsens rather than get better. It effects the person's limbic system which is the system that control's their emotions and this causes them to be unable to know the difference between what is real and what isn't. Doctors usually prescribe an anti-psychotic drug to hep with this.
