I decided to make this because I was interested in making stuff look girly like a creative. I want to make something more advanced more my actual project but I did enjoy using and making sure I knew how to use the materials. Although I did not put sharpie on my research list , the sharpie made an improvement on how my drawing came out so I do plan on using it in the future.

Art Elective Project Reflection

  1. For my project I wanted to draw something from my past. I chose to draw a dancer because it was something that I really enjoyed doing as a kid. I used color because I thought it looked nice, and I wanted to make use of the negative space so I drew a ribbon. For this piece, I just wanted to have fun with it. The end result was not exactly what I was going for, but I do like it a lot.

  2. Describe your project
It is a pencil drawing with color. I drew a dancer from off of the internet and I added a ribbon around the dancer. I drew it because I like dancing, drawing and the color purple. I really like how it represents my love for those two hobbies.

  3. What knowledge did you already have about the project before you started?
I already knew some dance positions and I also knew how to draw basic figures.

  4. What new skill did you want to learn coming into the project?
I learned how to incorporate color into a sketch.

  5. Did you accomplish this goal?
    Yes I did.

  6. How do you know you accomplished the goal? If you didn’t accomplish the goal, why do you think that is?
I think I accomplished my goal because I drew what I wanted and I did it. I am satisfied with the outcome and that is what I wanted for this project.

  7. What other skill(s) did you learn along the way?
I learned how to use negative space to add more to a piece. I also learned how to draw cool ribbon sort of.

  8. What are you most proud of in this project?
I am proud of the figure drawing I did.

  9. What would you do differently if you had to do the project over again?

I would have drawn another one in a different pose.

  1. Describe your project

    1. My project is liek I said a reflective piece. My piece is sort of like an illusion. I say that because you can see the main piece in two ways. It can be seen as a tree with colorful; leaves or an women face with a colorful afro. I did it like this because they go together because its like in the future I want to be and want my husband to see me as a natural african queen. On the sides are like fog clouds surrounded with birds and smoke. I put that because its like I don't want my life plan is but I hope its surrounded with peaceful and get rid of all the negativity.

  2. What knowledge did you already have about the project before you started?

    1. Besides my research on finger painting, the only knowledge I had was that I knew was that I wanted this to be a reflective piece representing what I am and what I want to be.

  3. What new skill did you want to learn coming into the project?

    1. I wanted to learn how to come out of my comfort zone with the images I do. What I mean is that I wanted to more than the basic drawings that I do and mature my pieces a little more.

  4. Did you accomplish this goal?

    1. I believe that I did accomplish this goal because I feel like my piece was very creative and mature because of the meaning behind it.

    1. I believe I accomplished the piece because like I stated above, the meaning behind the image, and the multiple pieces that on the canvas, and they all add up together.

  6. What other skill(s) did you learn along the way?

    1. While doing this, I learned that more thoughts/ideas come to mind when you're in the actual process of completing the piece. Like when I was doing this, I already had dow and knew what I wanted but as I continued, more thoughts and ideas co=came together to incorporate into the canvas.

  7. What are you most proud of in this project?

    1. In this project, i think I'm most proud of actually completing this and it being what I wanted plus it looked better than I imagined it would.

Shaded Comic Collage Of Me

This is just one picture I did to see how my collage would turn out. Basically it will consist of a lot of shading and tracing like i did in this photo but it will take a while because I'm gonna use a series of photos. i'm thinking about leaving it in black n white but then again maybe some color will suffice my skin tone. The materials I'm using is something like stencil paper , and a pencil using it to trace and shade.

Greg and Dejah's Website

http://dejahandgregsinvention.weebly.com

For this project Greg and I created a website based on NCAA boys and Girls Basketball. The purpose of our website was to inform everyone on the in's and out's of NCAA basketball and learn about different things that you may not have known in the past. I hope that everyone have learned the history of NCAA basketball by reading our website. I also hope that people learn the different divisions and NCAA D1 teams boys and girls. During this project I learned a lot about the NCAA history that I didn't know about before. I believe that our project was very successful. I think that the organization part of our project was very good but, on the other hand we could have added more current information about the NCAA.

Obesity In America Infographic

My Infographic is about Obesity in this country, and how it affects us. I decided to do my infographic on this topic because with my mother in my house as a nutritionist I am often told about the affects obesity has on people. I thought that someone would benefit from knowing the specific facts about obesity in this country.

A How to Deal With Your WiFi Infographic By Alexus Tomlinson

I chose this topic because I feel like everyone uses WiFi today because we are surrounded by technology that needs WiFi. I wanted to give some humorous tips on how to deal with WiFi problems. I hope people will learn facts about the tips I give them when they deal with WiFi and find some of my tips fun yet helpful.

Light Speed Infographic

I did my Infographic on light-speed travel, but more about if a human were to ever reach or surpass light speed. I chose this topic because physics, and astrophysics in particular, is something that I enjoy doing and working on. I hope that people will learn never to try and achieve light speed, they would die in the process.

ANDROIDS Vs. IPHONES INFOGRAPHIC

What I created was an android vs. iphone. I created this because I wanted to show people how many facts and information there was to know about iphones. I know that there are many people who have iphones and many people who have androids so why not show them why iphones are good and why androids are good. The last reason I created an infographic is because I wanted to not show which one is better but, why there are both good to use and why they're ok to have

Your Weight on Other Planets Infographic

Astronomy is extremely intriguing. I figured that it'd be interesting to look at the how a person's weight would change if they were on different planets (which would vary depending on the mass of the planet).
I made my findings into an infographic in order to share it with others.
