My Social Media Survival Guide?

I am someone who gives free advertisement, I am someone who states there real name on social media, I am someone who speaks their  mind in the proper manner, I am someone who loves taking pictures. I appear as a respectful person.

When people search my name Beyonce Best the first thing that popped up was Beyonce Carter’s song “best thing I ever had”. So no one would even know me.

I would be careful on what I post and think a head of time for example would I get hired or would a college except me for this picture.

A pros that people can receive things faster, A con is that someone can post something offensive you can lose your job you can’t have freedom.

Free speech is being able to express yourself however you want. If your being respectful and keeping what you post pg you will get support however if its violent, negative you will get no support maybe even reported.

How to survive social media

  1. When I am online I believe that I am still the same me, I also believe that I appear to be nice person (or as nice of a person that I can be).

     2) I believe that based on this appearance people perceive me someone who is fun, a bit         crazy, and very intelligent. At least, this is how I hope people perceive me.

     3) When posting things online I have to consider whether it will affect my goals of attending Stanford for a four-year college, or enrolling in Harvard for law school, especially opening up my own law firm.

    4) There are many pros and cons of sharing online. One pro is that online technologies make it easier for you to share important moments with friends and family. A common con is that some people often post things that could that could hurt them.

   5) Lack of control has an impact on our online lives because sometimes we don’t think before we act often causing huge consequences, which leads into immediacy. Immediacy is that moment when you hit the send button, and your moment is instantly shared with your friends making it very hard to take back a mistaken post since everyone has already seen it. Lastly, permanence goes hand in hand with immediacy because that same second you post something somebody else is already reposting it. This is why it is important to watch what you post on the internet because it never goes away.

   7) Free speech is something you can say without there being any consequences by law.

A lot of speech is protected but speech like Slander, Libel, Fighting words, and obscenity aren’t protected.

  12)

  • Don’t post anything someone can use against you.

  • Don’t post anything that could hurt someone else.

  • Stop worrying about what others say because most of the time they’re wrong.

  • Stop hurting yourself when someone else hurts you, hurt them instead.

Social Media Survival Guide

Online, I am a person that doesn’t do much. I do not post many pictures and I do not follow others. I really only follow my friends. Other than that, I only use online for games and searching things for school.

Based on this appearance, I think people perceive me as an “unpopular guy” because I do not have many followers. I think they see me as a person who doesn’t really go on social media sites much.

Before posting online, I consider who is going to see it, and what people are going to think about it. For example, my friends and family follow me on Instagram. If they saw me smoking or something in a picture that I posted, then I would get in a lot of trouble.

The pros of sharing online is that you can share the things that you like with others who share the same interest. The cons are that you can be judged and bullied for what you post.

Lack of Control impacts our lives because if you do not think about what you are posting, and control yourself, then you can be bullied and judged for what you post. Permanence impacts our lives because whatever we post online stays online forever. Even if we delete it, it is still somewhere online because you don’t know how many people downloaded it or shared it. Immediacy impacts our lives because once we upload something, people immediately see it.

I have mixed opinions on whether employers should check your social media sites. I think this because when you are a kid, you try to have fun. You don’t think of what you are going to do in the future. Employers may judge you on how you were when you were younger, and still think you are that way. Or they will think of how you were a kid and that you could have changed.

Free speech is having the right to say what you want. Even though you have the right to say what you want, there still are some things that you can’t say. You can’t say things like fighting words. Fighting words are words or phrases that makes somebody else want to do an act of violence.

For anybody that uses social media, I have three tips for you. Don’t listen to what anybody says. They are either jealous of what you have, or they just want to get a reaction out of you. Don't post things that you will regret. And last but not least, think about things that you are posting, liking, and commenting.

The Internet: A Survival Guide

Online I am @call.ofbooty, lackofpizza or lulu. I do not have my full name on my social media sites. I try way too hard to come up with witty captions and take a lot of pictures of myself to make it seem like I have self confidence.

I think people perceive me as a self absorbed white girl. Or maybe a cool, not sure what race she is, lol she looks 12 sometimes and 37 other times, girl. It all depends on the person.

Some things I consider before I post online are,

  • What would my parents think?

  • Do I look trashier than normal?

  • It is a good time of day to post? (more people online= more likes, notes, etc.)

  • Does this match my aesthetic?

Pros of sharing online are allowing all the people who follow you to see all the lovely pictures of coffee, legs, feet, puddles and selfies you post; making online friends who will become more important than real life friends; and having the chance to see what things are like for people around the world. Cons of online sharing are posting dumb things that will haunt you forever; reaching “that” side of tumblr *prays*; and making a name for yourself that may not be great.

Lack of control impacts my life because if I post something and someone saves it (almost immediately, this is called immediacy) , then I no longer have control over what happens from there. So I must be careful. After that post is saved by several people, then that post is permanently on the internet. This is called permanence.

Free speech is, by definition, "
the right to express any opinions without censorship or restraint." (-Google). What is protected is anything that allows one to express themselves. But if the form of expression is harmful to others in any way, it is not considered free speech. This is not supported under the Constitution.

Three tips for anyone on the internet:
  • Do not put all your information on the internet. No one but rapists and stalkers care about what school you go to or what part of Philly you're from. No full names are needed, unless you want to be found by employers and your grandma who's having too much fun on Facebook.
  • If you have to contemplate whether or not its a good idea to post something, just don't do it. Like jeez, save yourself while you can.
  • Don't be a h8r m8. That's boring.

social media survival guide

In my opinion, when I am online I am myself. I act/communicate the way I would I would if someone seen me in person. I do not cyberbully anyone else and stick to myself on my social media accounts. I don’t specifically know what other people think of me when I am online but maybe people think I am quiet because I dont post alot or interact with alot of people online. When I am online, I do consider what I post most of the time. I make sure it’s nothing violent, rude a threat to others, etc. Or even if it's a picture of me I make sure it's not too explicit etc. because media gets around fast and I don't want a stranger or anyone to see something of me I didn't want them to see. Anything you post on social media doesn't go away so you have to watch what you post. There are many pros and cons online for example you can promote something online but just know it'll be shared all over social media which means everyone can see it. Lack of control can take a big part when you're online. For example, if you post a status or even a photo after that it's not in your control anymore. Even if you delete it you can find your post anywhere on different websites, google etc. Some colleges/jobs look at your social media accounts to see who you are outside of being professional. It's important to know who your identity is online.

How to Survive the Internet.

  1. Who are you online, how do you appear?

-When I am online I am myself, I don’t put information out there so people can know about me, And how I appear to others can be different depending on how they see me.

  1. How do you think people perceive you, based on this appearance?

-Some people think I mean before they even meet me and get to know me. I mean i’m not a mean person.

  1. What do you consider before posting anything online?

-I consider what i’m posting before i post it because maybe it could be hurtful to others.

4.What are the pros and cons of sharing online?

-Pro’s can be that it’s fun it mess around with your friends and stuff but at the same time can get you in a lot of trouble.

5.Explain how Lack of Control, Permanence and Immediacy have an impact on our online lives.

-It could mess you life up because you wouldn't be able to do certain things your life could be ruined

7.What is free speech? What is protected? What is not?

-Free speech is something that everyone is allowed to do, you are allowed to say whatever you want and you are allowed to have your own opinion on things, Nothing is protected on the internet, even when you make your Instagram page private someone can still see it. So nothing is really protected.

3 tips that i would give you if you have a social media.

Don't be stupid and post something your not suppose to.

Pay attention to who you let follow you on social media.

Be careful of what you say.

Internet Survival

Well online I appear as a relevantly smart kid. If you go on my social media websites you would see a lot of rewards. Such as my turning point certification, football awards and like science fair awards.

I say it depends upon that person. People might say well isn’t he a smart kid. Others may say that he such a polite kid. Others may see others parts of my social media and say he a comedian.

The number one thing I consider would be who may see this.

You can brag about what you did and share photos a lot quicker would be a pro. A con would be the fact that anyone may look your photo.

Well we might post something and people will say something not thinking about what others may think of what they might post. Then others may share it and then they can’t control it.

Free speech is the right to say certain things. There are certain parts of speech that is protected and not protected. Things that are not protected are things would things that are false and or may not be hurtful to others.

3 tips I have for anyone who uses social media is to be careful what you post it may not be private. There are mean people out there who will judge so think about what you post.

Social Media Survival Guide

Stephanie DeAngelis

When I am online I am a student athlete, and I appear as that. I have pictures of my team and I winning the championship for hockey and softball. I also have some pictures from my graduation, which shows I am a student.

I think people perceive me as an athlete, a respectful student, and a good friend. I think they think I am what I post. This is a athlete and good student because I have pictures of my team and I and my class and I.

Before I post anything online I consider if it will hurt anyone else's feelings. I also consider whether or not I have thoughts of taking down the picture because then I will think if I really want to put the picture up if I already had thoughts of taking the picture down or not posting it at all.

The pros of sharing online is you can show people who you are and your accomplishments. For example, I can show my team winning the championship. The cons of sharing online is you could be hurting someone and it could affect what high school and college you go to.

Lack of control,  Permanence, and Immediacy have an impact on our online lives because if I post something bad online, and someone sees it and shares it I lost control of that post. This is because once one person shares it other people share it and it can become worldwide. I then have no control over that post even if I delete the post it’s  still shared with everyone because people shared it.

Free speech is you being able to say whatever you want online, and anywhere. The things that are protected is when you are on private because then only the people you follow can see it. Whats not protected is anything you say online while you are public because anybody can access it, and can re-post it.

My 3 tips if your using social media:

1. Think before you post

2. Don't post something that could offended other people

3. If you have second thoughts about your post don't post it

Social media survival guide

When I am online I am MIkel. I appear as a person who likes to have fun.

I think people perceive me as someone who has fun and watches what they put online

I think is anyone going to be offended or hurt by this post. A pro is My friends can see it. A con is  every one can see it when you put something disrespectful on it.Lack of control can impact our lives because if you post something wrong everyone can see it.When you post something it will be on the internet forever. As soon as you press the post button your post will be instantly shared. Free speech is the right to express your opinions without restraint. The establishment of religion, freedom of speech or press and the peaceably to assemble and to petition. Libel, slander, defamation, fighting words, and obscenity are not protected by the first amendment. If you use social media don't post anything offensive, anything with nudity, and anything with fighting words on it.

My Social Media Survival Guide

Online I am really not known for anything.  I kind of appear as person who shares some information but, it very cautious of sharing too much. They might view me as a smart guy and that I like taking pictures of myself. When I look at my photos I make sure that nothing personal about my life is completely revealing.  I think if it is appropriate and also if this is actually worth posting. The pros are that you can share it with everyone but at the same time it is a bad thing because their are people who you don’t want to see them.  The pictures do affect your future especially with jobs.  I think the major con of it is that when you delete the picture you think it is gone forever but the real thing about it is that it is stored on another website so it is not completely gone.I think it shows teens that we should be more careful about what we post online because it can spread and affect your future when the picture problem is out of your reach.  The fact that you lack of control of where your post goes after you post it is hard.  If it is something bad it could affect your future and you could end up jobless. We don’t realize that it could last forever due to sharing, downloading, etc. It just causes us to have to be more cautious of what we post. Immediacy is necessary we should be more aware of what we post it might just save you from a very bad future life. It could actually save you from losing a job, college opportunities, and many other problems that could affect your life. Free speech is a way to express yourself through writing or saying something this is supported under the First Amendment. Things that are protected under the First Amendment is freedom of religion, press, being able to assemble and freedom of press. While it is good thing to exercise these there are limitations. Things that are not protected are slander and libel. This is when you say or write something that is not true about someone and ruins their reputation. I have three tips for those social media users out there. When you post something make sure that it is something appropriate and if it is not then don't post or make it private. Also make sure that you make your social media page private if you are going to post that kind of stuff. Also remember to be aware that what you post might affect your future.

Social Media Survival Guide

On social media I am Rachel McCann or Rachel isn’t McCann, I appear as a crazy/ caring person in some people’s eyes others a sad  little girl. People see me this way because of status I post on facebook, or the pictures I post on instagram. Some people think this of me because of my appearance others because they actually know me. I consider everything before I post anything on facebook. Pros of sharing online is you get to show everyone my favorite pictures and share great times. Cons of sharing online people can take it the wrong way or make fun of you. Once you put something online you can NEVER take it down. Either good or bad it will haunt you for the rest of your life, it follows you. It’s like a bad dream that you can never wake up from.

Free speech is what we can say and not get in trouble, like we can protest but it needs to be a peaceful one once itn becomes violent we broke the law. 3 tips on social media are: DO NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR PRIVATE LIFE, if you are going to have a good time with your friends don't post it on social media, and ALWAYS think about what you are about to post.

social media survival guide

When I’m online I try to be myself. I post what I want and what I like, I don’t really care what people think. I don’t post anything racist or anything that would offend someone. I do take a second look and re-think what I’m about to post. I don’t think about or care what people will think or say on what I wear or look like.

I know that I’m a nice and chill person, but I also know other people might not think that. On my social media pages I do come off as that. I know I can also come off as mean or rude but it’s only because weirdos are commenting on the stuff I post and I don’t want that so I just tell them to stop and block them.

I Always think about what I’m posting. I re-read and look over the picture or quote because even though it might not offend me or my friends, it could to someone else who follows me. Other people can be more sensitive than others and actually take things to heart or be offended.

The pros about posting online is that you can share information with others from all over the world. News can be shared, pictures, and many other things. You could also meet new people from sharing and resharing posts. There are also many other good thing about sharing and posting things too. Cons about sharing are that people could hate on what you post. People also can troll you, say rude things, or make fun of you. Also, arguments can happen under a post because they were offended or some other reason that you didn’t realize.

Lack of control online can lead to some bad things. If you don’t control what you post and not care bad things could happen. A lot of things online are also permanent, you might have deleted what you posted but someone could have saved it, screenshotted, or reshared before you had the chance to delete it. Anything you post can be spread quickly and you might not even know.

I think professional jobs should do a social media background check. Not if you’re going to work at McDonalds. If I was to hire someone in a law firm I wouldn’t want them to be reckless and posting it on social media, it’s making my business look bad. If they did a background check on your social media and you’re applying at McDonald's, it’s pointless because is just extra cash until kids get out of high school. Even if you’re not in high school it’s still pointless because it’s kind of simple work.

Free speech is where you have the freedom to say whatever you want. There are certain words that you shouldn’t say because it’s racist or offensive in some way to someone. You’re protected if you’re not saying rude things to someone or offending someone. What you’re not going around saying racial slurs or anything else harmful you’ll be protected.

Internet trolls are people who spreads things all other the internet. They are annoying. They get into your business online and try to make you feel bad about yourself. Some say that internet trolls have “no life” so they try to make others feel bad about themselves because that’s how they’re feeling.

Internet trolling can be stopped if people would just stay out of others business online. Don’t comment when it’s not necessary or don’t start stupid arguments under an Instagram picture. Nobody like trolls.

They pros of posting online anonymously is that no one will know who you are if you posting some type of a personal post. Also, if a job is looking for your social media they won’t find it. The cons are that some people might want to know who’s posting the picture. Someone could also find out who you were posting about if you were talking or posting about someone.

3 tips for posting online:

  1. Think about what you post before you post it.

  2. Don’t post anything offensive to others.

  3. Don’t post all of your business online.

natalie burke social media survival guide

i think my online appearance is basically the same as how i appear in real life. i think my online appearance reflects who i am. i think i appear as a typical teenage girl. on my social media,i post pictures of myself. i post what i'm doing, where i am, what i'm eating. overall, i think i seem typical on my online appearance. i think based on how i see myself on social media, i think others perceive me as how i look at myself. i think if anyone was to look at my page, they would just think me as another teenage girl. before i post anything on social media, i make sure it's not offensive to anyone or if it could make anyone mad. the pros of posting online are being able to share your thoughts, memories, and videos with people, or being able to keep in contact with old friends. the cons of posting online is if you post where you are or who you're with, anyone can see and you're basically sharing that with anyone who scrolls past your post, or if you post something you later regret, anyone could screenshot or save. anything you post is now in the hands of anyone, and even if you delete it, anyone else could save it. Lack of Control, Permanence and Immediacy can all majorly affect your online appearance if you were to post an offensive video, or status, or picture, anybody can save it and you can quickly lose control of what you just posted, and if it's something really bad, it can spread across the internet, and from there on, you have a bad online appearance. i think, if youre applying for a job, your employers have every right to look you up on the internet and look at your social media. if i was hiring someone, i would want to know who i was hiring and if they had a bad online reputation. the official definition of free speech is; Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. Freedom of Speech does not include; obscenity, fighting words, defamation (slander), child pornography, perjury, blackmail, and threats. a troll  is a person who leaves annoying content or spam, just to harass or annoy people. the best way to get rid of trolls is to ignore them. my three tips to anyone who uses 1.) be careful of what you post 2.) keep your passwords/information private 3.) dont talk to strangers

Karrine's Survival Guide

On the internet I am a nobody. When my full name is searched on the internet I don’t appear. Based on my appearance I think people may perceive me as popular, nice, and confident. I think this is true because of the way I dress and that fact that I am always smiling. Before I post online I who will see it and what people will think. I care about keeping a good image on the internet One pro of sharing online is that you can show and tell others about what you are interested in and what you like to do. One con of sharing online is that some people may use what you share online to bully you. Lack of Control, permanence, and immediacy could have an impact on your life because it could give you an image, maybe the wrong image. I don’t think social media background checks by potential employers is necessary. I think that a person’s social media is a part of their person life, what they do away from work. Free speech is the right to voice what you feel and think say what you feel. It protects you from getting in trouble for saying what you feel. The right of free speech does not protect fighting words, obscenity, defamation, and just a few types of speech. An internet troll is someone who starts trouble on the internet, they can make people very upset. They won’t stop if you keep going arguing with them, you must ignore them completely for them to stop. The goal of Internet trolls are to annoy people. Sometimes people troll to feel powerful, they may be emotionally unstable so they turn to trolling to feel better, by messing with others. Trolling can only be stopped by ignoring the troll. One pro of posting anonymously online is that you can be who you truly are, and people that you know won’t even know it is you. One con of posting anonymously online is that you may be creating another false online life which isn’t good. 3 TIPS -don’t post things you if you don’t want everyone to see it -be aware that once you post something it is out there even if you delete it -your social media life can cause problems with your job, when looking for a job, and applying to college

Jorge's Social Media Survival Guide

I have Facebook, Instagram and snapchat. On all those social medias I will have to say that I am a person that watches what I posts and sometimes have comedy in my posts. People might have different impressions of me, but that’s what I think of myself on my social media. Before I post online is most of the time is will it offend anyone, and does it have any profanity (if it’s a repost from another person’s page).

There are pros and cons about sharing online. The pros are that it’s great to go and see the things that people have posts either funny or serious. Its also good to see the things that your friends are up too.  The cons on online use is that the government is always watching on what you posts. Most of the time you need to watch the things that you posts or else you can get in trouble by the government if you posts things about drugs and etc. Also if you are posting bad behavior on your social medias jobs that you are trying to get into might not accept you because of your bad behavior on social media.

Lack of control can really get you in trouble online. Let’s say that you made your own meme and you and a couple of other friends thought it was funny, but not everyone when you post it is going to think its funny. You need to watch out in the things that you posts even though there's always someone that going to be “butt hurt” or even hate on the thing that you post because that’s how people are.

Permanence will most likely happen to you when you post something online. Depending how long you post something because there is not going to be someone waiting for you to post so they can just screenshot it. People can end up screenshotting your post if you keep it up there long enough. An app called Snapchat is good to use if you want to know if people are screenshotting your posts because it says who has screenshot your posts.

Immediacy can also happen because people are able to see the things that you post right away. If it’s a posts that you had seconds thoughts on you might not want to posts it because once again people can see it as soon as you posts it.

I think that social media background checks by potential employees are important, but at the same time you won’t be able to have your private life to yourself because companies are checking your posts. It’s a good thing because you don’t want to hire a person that has a bad reputation on social media.

Free speech is kinda self explanatory. It’s the ability to say anything without being prosecuted for the things that you say. Freedom of speech does not protect you from everything, it’s to an extent. For example freedom of speech does not protect you from “Fighting words”, fighting words are words that would make someone that you said those “Fighting words” to commit an act of violence against someone.

Internet trolls are people online who make a fake social media account and mess with people online. They sometimes say that you have won a prize so they can steal your information. They also go under comments and just write things down to mess with people's emotions just for the fun of it.

The only thing to do in stopping trolls is to ignore them and just let them be.

The pros and in being anonymous on social media is that people will not know who you are. You can post anything that you want and people won’t know it's you. The cons are that your friends won’t know that it’s you.

My top 3 tips are: 1) Be careful at what you post online. 2) Don’t be a troll. 3) Keep your social media account on private.

Caylin's Survival Guide

Online I’m just me, I don’t have to act a certain way or try and fool people because that does no good for me. I appear to be a normal teenage girl who just posted stuff just to post them. People perceive me as who I am a fun nice regular person who posted pictures of food, what she’s doing, and probably invisible sense when I searched my name i didn’t pop up. Now when I post I don’t just do it carelessly I always think to myself would this offended people?  would this hurt me? would this create a bad reputation of me or affect what people think of me? I watch what i post before i actually post it. The Lack of Control, Permanence, Immediacy has impact on our online lives because now we know what you post can’t actually be deleted online cause others can take a screenshot or share it and they now have the copy so it’s hard to get rid of the post. My thoughts on social media backgrounds checks by potential employers is that I’m actually surprise and shocked. I feel this way because when they go to an interview they act differently than what they post and you usually don’t expect that kind of behavior or actions to that person. Free speech is something that gives people the right to say what they want online, In my opinion nothing is protected online once you post it than everyone can see it. An Internet troll is someone who harass people just to get them mad. The goals of an internet troll is to get them angry. We can stop trolling by keeping blocking them and ignoring them so they can’t bother you. Pros: People don’t know who you are Cons: If you say something horrible and someone calls the cops they can figure out who you are. Don’t post anything you will regret, Don’t post anything offensive, Ignore all trolls.

Social Media Survival Guide

Online I appear as a girl who has a lot social media and is associated with programs and sports such as cross country and Project Flow at the Fairmount waterworks.I think people perceive me as a busy person who looks really nice. They might perceive me as busy because i'm in a lot of programs.I consider who can be watching what I post online and people who see it might not like what I post, so i'm cautious on what I post online. A pro from sharing online is that you can get yourself out there. Some cons are that people can stalk you and you may post the wrong thing and important people might not like that. Lack of Control, Permanence, and immediacy have an impact on our online lives because when we post we're getting ourselves out there. I think social media background checks is a great idea, if I was an employer , I would like to get a feel of who I might consider hiring. Freedom of Speech is protected by the First Amendment.  Religion, speech, press, petition, and assembly are protected by the First Amendment. What isn’t protected by the First Amendment is obscenity, child pornography, true threats, fighting words, incitement to imminent lawless action, criminal solicitation or defamation. You can stop trolling by possibly ignoring them because that means they didn’t reach their goal of annoying you. Some pros of posting anonymously online is that people don't know it’s you and if you say something wrong they still don’t know it’s you. The cons of posting anonymously online is that you say something really good but someone can take the credit and act like they thought of it. My 3 tips for someone who uses social media is Be safe, Be cautious of what your post, and Ignore trolls.

Who am I online?

Online I am an educated teenager who is very social. I am a student interested in many things. I appear as a sweet teenage girl who is very optimistic. They perceive me to be very down to earth, young and very social.I consider if what I am doing is illegal and how my mother would feel if she saw the things i posted.A pro is that you get to share with family and friends. A con is that if you post something that may be out of order you can be criticized and/or ridiculed and the picture can be reposted.Lack of control can impact our lives because if we a post a picture that may not be appropriate it can be reposted and we can lose control over the picture. Permanece can make a picture that you don’t want up for everyone to see easily accessible because everything you post if permanent. Immediacy can impact your life just how lack of control and permanence can.I think that potential employers have every right to a social media background check. It gives a better insight to the potential employees personal life and how they handle themselves.Free speech is being able to speak you mind without being harsh or rude. This may include protesting and standing up against federal law. Whats not protected is going after someone to ruin their reputation or spreading untrue things about a person so that they can be ridiculed by others. An internet troll is a person who posts irrelevant and annoying things on another person’s post.Their goal is to try to bring down others and make them feel bad about whatever they are posting online. You can stop trolling by ignoring their comments because eventually when you keep ignoring them they will go away. When using social media you need to be careful. You also need to make sure what you are posting is appropriate. You also need to be respectful, responsible and remember that what you post reflects your household.

Who I am online

Donald Rodgers

When I’m online people usually see me as Donald, or Donnie (nickname) Rodgers I usually would put my nickname Donnie because my dad has the same first name as me, so I stick with Donnie Rodgers . Online I appear as a regular boy who goes to high school, and  hangs with his family all the time and enjoys doing it. They are aware of me because of the pictures, and sometimes comments recently post online. Some things I consider before I post anything would be if someone would be amazed or if they might just like it because of the way it looked. Pros are that you might get a bunch of comments and likes on your posts and maybe a lot of followers. Cons would be letting other see posts you don’t want them to see. Lack of control might be posting an embarrassing picture by accident, permanence would be if that post was never able to be removed and immediacy would be trying to stop that post from uploading as fast as you could. I wouldn’t want to go work for a company that would look at my social media background because there might be somethings they won’t like and then they won’t give me a chance to show what I could do for them. Free speech is the ability to say anything you want to without being criticized. My chance to speak and say anything I want is protected. If whatever you say is offensive it will protect that person’s  feeling from being hurt. A Internet troll is someone who talks about people online. It’s like bullying but your bullying online. Goals of the internet troll is to hurt and belittle others feelings and sometimes enjoy it for fun. We can stop it by stopping bullying because the people might just bring their bullying online. The pros is no one knows who posted it and the cons are you might get reported or caught. Three tips are be careful what you say, avoid bullying, and don’t judge others with mean opinions.

Guide to Social media

Online I am invisible.Based on my appearance people ask me more so they can try and find me. I don’t post things on social media so I think about nothing. The pros and cons of sharing are that sometimes you are praised and people like it and others hate on your achievements. If you don’t control what you post then it may have a negative response and the immedancy of a post is that when you post something it is automatically shared to whatever you post it to unless it’s YouTube. My thoughts on background checks are that It doesn’t matter what you post It’s the character of the person I’m interviewing. Free speech being able to say whatever you think, it is protected because there are certain things you cannot say, things you cannot say are slanderous things and things that would hurt someone’s emotions or reveal someone’s secrets. What is an Internet troll? An internet troll is a person who can either be your worst enemy or a friend because if you play a game online a troll probably isn’t the bad guy the hackers are so most of the time I would have to say that internet trolls that are bad are the ones one social media. The goals of most internet trolls from what I’ve encountered is to have a good time but not always at someone else’s exspence. You can stop troller’s by outsmarting them on games but on social media it’s best to ignore them completely. The pros are no one knows what you said and can say something to you inperticularly but the cons are it could be a really good idea and now someone can steal it and pass it off as there’s and you can can do about. The 3 tips I got for the Homies who read this is that DON’T BE STUPID, KEEP IT PG, AND DON’T BE NASSSSSTTTTYY.

Sarah's Social Media Guide

When you search my name online. The only thing that pops up is “Sahara Sams” the waterpark in New Jersey. When people type in my username, they find my twitter. On twitter i appear as just a girl that mostly retweets other people's tweets. I think people perceive me as just a normal teenage girl that has a twitter honestly. When I’m considering what I post, I mostly think about what my friend’s will think, but I do take in consideration of what if my parents or teachers would see it. So I don’t post anything offensive or insulting on my social media. One of the pros of sharing online is that you can share things easily with friends or can even make friends online. Yet one of the cons is when you post something online and delete it. It’s still on the internet, and can stay online. You can also have complete access to people. Lack of Control, Permanence, and Immediacy have ruined people's lives and affected the way people will perceive them.  When it comes to background checks on potential employers, I don’t really mind if somebody checks my social media since i don’t post anything I should be ashame of. I believe your employer is allowed to search up you up because it’s your choice how you present yourself online, and since it is online everyone sees it anyway. Free speech is the freedom of speaking, however you cannot say everything that you want to say. Things like speaking your own mind are protected, but if your opinion is offending or hurting someone or picking a fight, that is not protected by freedom of speech. A internet troll is someone who finds entertainment of making people frustrated or angry. They can make mocking posts and offence people just for the fun of it. To stop people like this, we can spread more ice comments around to people, and when if people are trolling you, ignore it. When posting anonymously online, a pro is since nobody knows who you are, people can now talk about sensitive and non-talked about topics. A con is people can leave mean and hurtful comments and nobody would know it was them. My three tips of using the internet are: One ) Treat people the way you want to be treated. Two ) If someone is having a bad day help them out. Three) If you see bullying happening report them immediately.
