Seattle Seahawks compare football to the civil rights movement.

http://www.inc.com/will-yakowicz/the-top-social-media-fails-2015.html

In January, the NFL's Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers to earn a trip to their second consecutive Super Bowl. The day after that win happened to be Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, so inexplicably the Seahawks decided to compare their struggle for a championship to the struggle for equal rights that African-Americans have gone through. View image on Twitter. The example of immediacy in this situation is how fast the Seattle Seahawks decided to compare them losing a game to the struggle of how blacks didn’t have equal rights. I feel as if that it was very immature, unnecessary, and disrespectful to compare the struggle of equal rights to a game. The example of permanency is that the decision that the team decided to make to compare their lost of a game to a major problem, will always be known; it will be left as a disgrace, embarrassing to all blacks, and disrespectful. This is an example of lack of control because when the team sent this out, it was reposted multiple times; even after deleted. This article shows that you shouldn’t compare simple things, like a lost game, to a major problem, like the struggle of blacks’ equal rights.

Teacher who gets exposed with weed

Breanna Savage November 17,2016

Tech

My article was about a 10th grade math teacher named Carly Mckinney who basically got exposed for her tweets and pictures on social media about bringing weed to school and pictures of her smoking it on the internet some of her captions stated “Naked, Wet, Stoned”, along with other captions talking about how she watched people deal drugs in a parking lot and then stated how she had weed in her car of the school parking lot. I see it as though she was high while grading papers during school and the website was able to take her tweets and post them on there website. This is a lack of control because she didn’t think about being a teacher while she was posting and doing the things she did involving weed. This is immediacy because she didn’t take her time posting herself smoking in her car and she probably thought it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. This is permanence because she never took down her captions or post therefore now people can screenshot what she is doing.

Luke Gatti Drunk Mac and Cheese

Last fall, a student from University of Connecticut named Luke Gatti faced backlash on the Internet after a 9-minute video of him demanding macaroni and cheese at his university cafe. He was asked many times to leave but because he was intoxicated, he refused to go anywhere. He shouted homophobic slurs at the cafeteria manager. As he became more aggressive a crowd surrounded him and the manager. He was later arrested by officers.

Permanence, lack of control, and immediacy all plays into this. Since he was drunk he had no actual control over what he was doing. Also he had no control over the people who recorded the video and posted it. For permanence, his police record will always be there unless he gets it expunged even then the manager is not going to forget what happened. Last is immediacy, the video was posted and since almost everyone is on social media it spread quickly.

The advice I would give him is to not get drunk if the first place. I feel as though if you are going to get drunk have friends to take you home and make sure you are ok. Even then he is old enough to know his own drinking limits. The person who posted the video should have never posted it because if that was them , they wouldn’t want someone to do that to them. At the end of the day like I said he should be able to know his limits.

Amanda Todd

A seventh grade girl from Canada named Amanda took her own life in 2012 because she was being cyber bullied. She met an older man in a group chat and he talked her into flashing her chest and sending the picture. She did but she didn't hear from for a year. When he tried to contact her her wanted her to ¨put on a show¨ or he would expose the picture to everyone she knew. So she moved to a different city in Canada and some girls follow her there just to jump her later on that day her father found her in a ditch. She made a video about her experience and began to cut herself. About a year later she was found dead in her room.

Immediacy affected Amada's online life because at one click of a button her life was ruined. As soon as she hit send it was public to the world and there is nothing she could do about it.

Permanence affected her life because she can never take the pictures she sent to this man and they will always be on the internet. Also it will never be able to completely be taken of the internet.

Lastly lack of control those picture could be sent to anyone or put any website and she cant stop it. People will always in some way have access to them. And to some  unfortunately that is all she could be remembered as.
In conclusion don't let a mistake change your entire life. Always think before you post or send. And don't let anybody push you into peer pressure.

The Racist Tweet

Justine Sacco, a communications director of the New York- based internet empire, InterActive Corp. Justine was at the airport about to board a 12 hour flight from Lodon to Cape Town when she decided to post a tweet, it read, “ Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get Aids. Just kidding. I’m white!”. Now Justine didn’t think to many people would notice this tweet or it would sway off to other social media sites or she would lose her job. Fom Justine being on a 12-hour flight  she didn’t notice all the things she had stired up. By time she landed people had started a hashtag about her #HasJustineLandedYet. Justine was terrifed at all the emails she had gotten and the next morning losing her job. She also wrote a apolojy letter to the world and the internet empire that she worked for. After a couple of weeks of threats and being depressed for her mistake she thought it would be good if she soonly deleted her twitter, facebook, and  instagram account.

Now, Justine didn’t really believe that all of this would happened while she was on a plane. She didn’t even think that so many people would have retweeted, screenshot, or post around because none of her other tweets were so important. That’s the thing with immediacy, you won’t think something would go around so quick. People all around the world have posted things that they didn’t believe would go viral. Immediacy played out in this story becuase withi less of 12 hours one tweet was seen by thousands of people. Even though Justine deleted the tweet and then deleted all of her social media links this tweet can still be seen and still effects people to this day. The tweet is forever aroud, just like a tattoo or something it is permanent.

Lack of control came around once Justine landed and didn’t know what to do about her tweet surfuring around. She didn’t have control of it going viral and have control of how people but she did have control of what she said. My personal advice to Justine is think before you type. Always put yourself in a strangers shoes reading something you say or seeing something you do. No matter what you do it always effects someone, no matter of a good effect, bad effect it still has a role in people lives.

Be Conscious of What You Post

                          Think before you post

PR chief Justine  Sacco tweeted about going to South Africa and “hoping she doesn't get AIDS”. However, she offended people when she said of course she won’t, she’s white. This was retweeted thousands of  times . Her company, IAC, fired her for her poor judgment. I think they made the right call because that offended a lot of people and she had to get a consequence for it.

This could have affected other people view on going to  South Africa. Justine Sacco lack of control on social media ended up with her getting fired. Also, this could affect her from getting in other jobs for her racist tweet on social media. Advice that I can give her is “be smart when you post.” Also, think before you post and don’t post from your emotions keep it to yourself. Justine Sacco was unaware that once you post something it is permanent and it could never be taken down.

You should always be aware of what you post and make sure it’s appropriate. Advice that I can give to everyone is think about the consequences you will have. Also, never post anything that could jeopardise your job, friends, and family. In addition, never post anything that could offend someone. Always be conscious of what you post on social  media and be smart.

I say this because, say if you were going on vacation and you post something about you leaving for a certain amount of time that gives a thief time to rob your house. That’s just an example of being conscious of what you post. Therefore, Justine Sacco incident could be a lesson and an example of how serious and important it is on being aware of the consequences when you post things on social media.

Jessica Logan

Zakirah Boyd

https://shar.es/1IpOYi

Jessica  Logan, was a Ohio high school senior who committed suicide after sending a nude photo of herself to her boyfriend. When they broke up, he sent the photo to everyone else at her school. Jesse was harassed for months by the other girls at her school. Jessie’s grades began to drop, than she started skipping school, but when she did go to school, she would hide in the bathroom to avoid being teased. Jesse Logan decided to tell her story on a Cincinnati television station. Her purpose was simple: “I just want to make sure no one else will have to go through this again.”Two months later, on July 3, 2008, Jessie went to the funeral of a boy who committed suicide, then came home and killed herself. I believe that Permanence, Immediacy, and Lack of Control played a role in this story.

Lack of Control : The moment she sent those pictures to her boyfriend (at the time) she had no control over what happened to them or what people would do with them.

Immediacy: When her ex-boyfriend sent those pictures to everyone in her school, there was no stopping it. Even if the pictures got “deleted”,everyone saw the pictures already. People could have screenshot, share, and post it on the internet for everyone else to see.

Permanence: It's nearly impossible to completely remove a picture off the internet, because there's always a chance that someone downloaded, or screenshotted the pictures.

The only advice I can give to someone that is in her situation is to think about the consequences of sending someone personal photos before sending them.

Purple Rain Color Wheel

In Art 2, I have designed a color wheel with creativity. I decided to turn my color wheel into a girl holding an umbrella. I decided to name it Purple Rain in relations to the late singer, Prince. I thought that would be a really cool idea along with a relative poem. I really did not have a vision I just made decisions as I went. I know that my outline of the wheel could have been neater, that would be the only thing I know I could have fixed and been more careful on. Other than that, based off of my table presentations I think my project was creative. Art is a way of self expression it goes as it comes to mind.

Contemporary art is basically what today is. My project relates to that by illustrating one of the best late singers death and cooperating it into a project, whom was my inspiration. In these past few years of art, I have experienced using color wheels, but this time I got to put my own creativity into my project including using a different technique. The technique I use was using paint with a knife to create a different pattern.Using techniques is important because when doing art you have to know how and what you are going to use in order to make your project successful.

Carly Mckinny

http://www.westword.com/news/carly-mckinney-teacher-suspended-over-hot-twitter-posts-backed-by-freecrunkbear-5833516

A teacher named Carly Mckinney was a 23-year-old 10th-grade math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. Carly kept her work life apart from her social life. When still working in her job she posted half-naked pics, photos of her smoking pot and  inappropriate Tweets. Even though pot is legal for personal use in the state, the school is investigating whether McKinney brought pot on campus.Quickly after she posted the tweet the school faculty came to an agreement and fired her from her job. This could affect Carly’s life because other jobs will find her online and would not like someone like working for them. She had been joking about using drugs at school so other students and teachers or just an average person can give her hate for joking about drugs.

Permanence-Now that Carly posted her inappropriate pics online she an not delete them because the internet is full of people liking, sharing, and reposting others content so all of her half naked pics are being multiplied.

Lack of Control-Carly did not put her twitter on private so anyone could see her photos, even if that person never knew who she was. She can not do anything to get those photos back because it was her own fault for posting them.

Immediacy- Once she hit that send button it could show a notification that she had posted a picture on other people’s phone if enabled .Carly had more than 4 thousand followers so there could be at least one person who saved, shared, or reposted a new photo. If so there could be at least one person sharing her pictures online.

Nicole's Situtation

In my article a girl was cyber bullied and accused for telling on kids who came to school drunk when she had no idea about the incident.  It started when she was celebrating her 17th birthday with her friends at a concert when the mean hate messages started coming in.  Apparently kids were planning to secretly attack her at a In and Out burger.  The attack never happen but she was attacked through the internet instead.  Some kids got in trouble at school for being drunk and everyone thought it was her who told on the kids when she didn’t even know until about two weeks later.  She was scared that she was getting so many hate messages.  Even during lunch she wondered to herself if the kids at the table next to her were talking about her or they were the ones sending the messages. She eventually tried to respond to mean messages but that just got her even more hate and since she had her phone with her all the time she couldn’t run away from the hate.  A few of her friends stuck with her but many of them turned on her.  She even tried to get help from the school but the school even said that they couldn’t help.  She eventually came to the conclusion that she had control over what she recieved, so she deleted her facebook account and swore that she wouldn’t read any mean comments.  Ignoring the bullies wasn’t enough though.  Her mother became worried about her and decided to do research on cyberbullies.  She even spoke out at schools about the topic.  Kids began to want to hear about cyberbullying from a teen.  The girl, Nicole, jumped out at that opportunity in order help kids who are getting cyberbullies and get back at her bullies.  She started a challenge called the “Great American NO BULL Challenge”.  She then later got a message apologizing to her.  This gave Nicole instant relief and made her feel like the world was one step forward to balance again.

Immediacy played into Nicole’s situation very well after everyone assumed that it was Nicole who was the snitch, everyone immediately started getting on her about this lie that was spread around school.  It all happened so quick that Nicole didn’t even know what was going on.  Permanence played into Nicole’s situation also because all of the messages she received were permanent, they weren’t going to stop being send anytime soon and it didn’t matter if she deleted the message because it could just be send again and again.  Finally, Lack of Control played into this situation the most because even though Nicole did nothing wrong, everyone thought she did.  So, she repeatedly received hate messages and had no control over what was being sent.  She can’t simply stop the messages because since so many people were sending her mean messages, it was out of reach for anyone's help.

Quarter One Project

20161031_142753
20161031_142753
I didn't create this project for any particular reason I just knew I had to submit something, and it should be something that I have some sort of fun creating. My overall vision was really just experimentation with colors there wasn't really anything deep to it. I think people will be disappointed at least if they know me, because this isn't as good as the stuff I usually do. There is no relation to my previous art. And I dont really see how it fits into any of these things listed here, this seems entirely irrelevant. The source and inspiration for this was a screengrab of the actor of 11 (from stranger things) in the movie Cloverfield I thought it was pretty cool so I painted based off of that. For this piece in particular there were no other influences. There were no real techniques used painting this, the only thing I really did was making sure that each facial feature was distinct and recognizable, not lost in the paint. So I just used a small brush, and painted with either more saturated or just a straight up different color.

Overall, not proud of it-not something I would put in a portfolio, and really it doesn't even seem like I made it.I could've done a much better job but overtime I'm feeling less and less motivated to put "my all" into art pieces for art classes-or I should say high school art classes in particular.

Quarter 1 Project Statement

The project that we were assigned this quarter was to make our own personal website. What I had hoped to learn with completing this project was how to create a personal website, and code it.To complete this project, I first picked a website that would generate a website for me. I ended up picking Weebly to use to make my website. Then, I began to make the required pages that were needed such as Home, About Me, Contact Me, Resume, and Project Page. A failure that I encountered while creating my website was attempting to upload a file of my resume. It wouldn’t upload correctly and kept giving me an error page. Until, it worked after trying many times to upload it. I didn’t have much technical errors but, I did have trouble with being creative. A couple of things that I learned while creating this website were how to make my own resume, and make a contact page. I learned that I need to get out the house and do some more activities because I didn’t have much to put on my resume, and it was sad. If I were to do this project all over again, a couple of things I would do differently would be to spend more time decorating, and finding pictures to put up on it. A tip that I have for anyone else that would be attempting to complete this project would be to try to be very creative and add their personality to the website. This project inspired me to be creative, and productive with my free time. In this project the message dictated the medium because the information wouldn’t change no matter what.

"Think before you post"

Tyler Clementi 1992-2010 was a person who committed suicide by jumping off the beige. after getting sexually encounter he had with a man in his dorm room, and Ravi was told to live stream there sexual act. Clementi did not have any type of clue that a live stream was going on at the time. Ravi and Wei were charged with the invasion of privacy.
This includes "Immediacy" because Clementi was involved in this situation and was live streamed with out his knowledge of what was going on at the time. This also includes "Permanency" because Clementi was having a intercourse while Ravie was live streaming it so there was no sort of privacy involved, and its also re uploaded a lot of times. This also includes "Lack of Immediacy" because this situation was a immediacy of a live stream on a social media web site.

The Story of David Molak

Website:http://puresight.com/Real-Life-Stories/david-molak-2000-2016-puresight.html

Summary:  January, 2016, David Molak, a fitness enthusiast, Spurs fan, and an Eagle Scout, a sophomore at Alamo Heights High School in Texas, hung himself in his family's backyard because of cyberbullying. There were about 6 to 10 bullies, bringing him down with insults and comments on social media and text message. The bullies really never had a real reason to bully him, it was all out of jealousy. They might’ve been jealous because he had an attractive girlfriend, or maybe because he was a good kid minding his business. His brother said that one night he was added to a group chat and was made fun and was removed from it 2 minutes later. His brother said “In today’s age, bullies don’t push you into lockers, they don’t tell their victims to meet them behind the school’s dumpster after class. They cower behind user names and fake profiles from miles away constantly berating and abusing good, innocent people.”

Immediacy, meaning the quickness of action. Immediacy played a role in this because of when David Molak was added to the group chat, it was quick, and everyone in the chat started saying all bad things to David. He couldn’t even say anything back, after, they just removed him.

Lack of Control, meaning not having enough power to do something. Lack of control played a role in this, also when they added him in the group chat, he never asked to be in the group chat. He didn’t know he was going to be added, so he couldn’t prevented any of that.

Permanence, meaning the state of remaining unchanged. Permanence has played a role, when the kids that bullied David text all the mean things they said to him in the group chat. They might've removed him from the chat, but the messages were still sent and somewhere it's still up.

I think that kids should not bully others because they don't know how they are thinking, some kids can take the bullying more than others. Or if you are getting bullied tell someone, that's what everyone says, but telling someone could really save your life, or another.

Introduction - This day, in age, all you here about is the negative things that are happening in our world and more importantly now even more on social media . For my article I am talking about about Tyler Oakley . Tyler Oakley, is a 27 year old youtube star who made a difference in our world’s younger (LGBTQ+) community. Instead of asking for gifts for his birthday Tyler asked to send in donations for the Trevor Project . The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) and other queer youth.Tyler ended with donations at more than a half a million dollars.

Tyler Oakley plays a role in Permanence in a very effective way. Tyler Oakley couldn’t have a better places on the internet . He used to just be known for effecting teens and adults on the internet for being funny, talking about pop culture and for entertainment. Now he not only makes people feel better,he changed peoples lifes.Permancy is effected on him now because he is saving otheres lives ,by the donations he has sent in ranking over a half a million dollars. Now everytime someone searches for him by name on the frist page of google The Trevor project comes up with an article all about him and what he did for the project. He is always going to have a good search now because of the way he impacted people and it will always be remeber by millions of people on and off the internet.

Immediacy plays into Tyler Oakley’s  Accomplishment from the time he posted the youtube video, sent out tweets, and made a instagram post.He  got tons of support when he posted  the video. He also got some people who didn’t support him; that hate is important, it lets him know he is getting far .Once he posted that video it wasn’t going down he has over 8 million subscribers someone else has that video. Now he gives and shows eveone a sense of help that needed it or wants it.So immedicacy comes in when the video was posted on youtube it couldn’t be reversed.

Lack of control has one of the biggest impacts on social media these day , some people don’t even realize what their getting into. In Tyler Oakley’s situation in lack of control plays out when he asked to send in donation. He couldn’t tell people to donate ,he could only ask.He could have made no donations at all , but because he did it for a really good reason he got over a half a million dollars . He also had lack of control of how much people were donation you could donate how much or how little you wanted . To anyone it didn’t matter because if you did everyone was thankful.

Conclusion- Most importantly over everything Tyler Oakley made a huge impact for the trevor project .Little did everyone know he did it again a year later and continues to help the trevor project. Lack of control,Permanence, and  Immediacy impacted and will continue to impact social media. The point I think he wants to get across is that there is always someone to talk to even if it’s just on the phone with someone from the trevor project. You never should hurt yourself because there always someone to talk to regaurdless of you think there is or not; everone is equal no matter what.Tyler Oakley impacted social media and peoples lives in the best way possible.

The object of this project was to make a portfolio-like website that represents you, but while doing this, I realized that my goal is to let colleges and jobs see this so they can learn more about me and hopefully help get me accepted or at least be qualified for colleges/jobs. Even though I don't want them to look at this particular website, I think this is a big step for me so I can make a website in the future so colleges and jobs I apply to can really look at. It was really hard to make this website, but it took awhile to understand the mechanics of Wix so I know what to do because at first I didn't know what to do, then people were giving me advice and showing me how to do thing little by little, I eventually learned how to do the basics (I probably would've never learned if I never did the project). The only thing I learned during this project is that there are pictures of me on google, and if I were to do this project again, I would make my website more professional and better overall so I can show other colleges and jobs. Advice that I would give out to future students of this class is to make sure you know all the mechanics when using a website builder so it can be a lot easier for you to do.

LG: Making fun of iPhone with an iPhone.

September 25 2014

This happened around the time the iPhone 6 and 6+ came out. There was one question that troubled everyone. Could the iPhone 6+ bend? It was reported that the iPhone 6+ could bend if you're wearing tight pants???? Everyone practically attacked apple especially other Phone companies. LG partially tweets on twitter saying "Our phones don't bend, they're naturally curved :) #bendgate."(LG G Flex) That would have been funny but the ironic part about this is the person that posed it did it on an iPhone. This is definitely a blunder. Luckily there wasn't any effect on LG's side. Everyone thought this situation was just a funny blunder. Immediacy played a role in this because once LG French put that tweet out there it was a lot of comments. Like how can you mock Apple and their iPhone if you have an iPhone of your own. Permanence played role because well once LG French posted it it was permanently on the internet for the better or worse. I don’t think LG cared though it was just a small blunder right. Well not so much a lot of people said the same thing: If you’re going to post something about Apple and their iPhone's maybe don’t use an iPhone. Lack of control played a role a little bit. LG French knew what they were posting so they had control but what they didn't have control of was the people commenting about it. Thank you for reading this blog I hope you found this social media blunder interesting.

Kemet's Beautiful Website!

My project basically displays my opinions and poems that I am proud of. I honestly feel proud about the website. It's very straightforward and clear. I feel as though that the website is organized and the titles of each section make it clear as to what the page is going to display or talk about. My goal for this project is to get people to understand what I write. I enjoy writing but, videos make things a lot more clear. I some how displayed my physical feelings into my writing. The process that I went through while creating this project is I wrote my personal opinions about certain purpose in life. I also displayed my favorite project that I created in 10th grade English class. The successful things that I encountered is that because I am a physical person and not a writing type I successfully created a website that actually displayed Kemet. What I learned while creating this project is that it's a lot harder to write about yourself and show your personal self through writing. I know that these type of things might come easier for some people but, it was a little harder for me. What I actually learned about myself through this project about myself is that I am better at physically showing people who I am then writing. I also learned that I show a lot of personal feelings in poetry then physically. What I would do differently about this project is that I would show more videos about myself talking. I believe that would be a much better video. One tip I would say for anyone who is going to do this project is "be honest" and "write your personal feelings and yourself. While doing this project it inspired me to become a better writer, meaning to become better at writing my personal opinions out. In this project lastly it dictated the medium.

Q1 Benchmark Project

For this project, our job was to create a personal-portfolio website. This website basically shows off the work we do. I began the project with a little background knowledge on how to create a website because I've already taken a class similar to this. For this reason, I had no trouble creating a website through technology I was already familiar with. The source I used was Wix. The website gives you tons of templates to start your website from as well as suggestions on how you should organize your content. As far as advice for other students, just be sure to complete all of your checkpoints. This will ensure that you're on track and on target to meet the deadline. When using whatever median you choose to make your website, just know it takes time to understand how it works. With a little experimentation, you should be able to make your own website. Overall, I had fun doing this fun, simple project.

Think Before You Post

Alicia Kozakiewicz was 13 years old when she decided to meet a boy she has been chatting with on the internet. Alicia thought that the boy she said she "knew" was her age and harmless, but she couldn't have been more wrong. On New Years Eve Alicia went out of her home to meet the mysterious boy, she had been waiting down her block when she finally decided he was not coming seeing that she had not seen a boy calling her name or seem like they were looking for something. Just as she was walking back someone called her name but when she turned around to look she wasn't expecting to see a man much older than her and grabbing her forcefully. The man was dragging her to his car and put her in the back seat, Alicia tried to get away but feared that her life would be taken if she had. They went from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Virginia were the mans home was located. Once they got there the man had her take her clothes of and put some sort of dog collar on. From there she was raped, beaten, tortured and this had gone for 4 days straight. Alicia lost all hope of being free when suddenly FBI's had come to the house she was currently stuck in and saved her. The FBI found her by someone recognizing Alicia through a video that the abductor had taken of him beating her and posting it on the internet. This horrible experience made Alicia have a goal in life, to protect other children from making the same mistake she did and many others.

Alicia's choices that she had made when deciding to meet the boy was not the best. She did not think about the consequences that would come when talking to the stranger. Alicia should have asked herself, "is this safe?", "is he lying about who he is?". She was not taking care of her well being and went with the decision to keep talking to the boy. Immediacy, Permanence, and Lack of control all have a place in this story. Immediacy would be that Alicia had automatically wanted to meet him without thinking about her actions and where this choice would lead her. Permanency is that Alicia would always remember the torture she went through from making the decision to meet someone from the internet. Lack of control is when the man took her and recorded all of things he did to her and posted them online. When you are online remember to think before you post.

Jessica Longan

Jessica Logan

Jessica Logan got cruelly teased by other girls at her high school after her boyfriend broke up with her and sent out all of her private pictures and messages. After a while her grades dropped and she started skipping school. But when she did come to school she hid in the bathroom. When Jessica was interviewed on a cincinnati TV show

She said,¨I just want to make sure no one else will have to go through this again.¨

Shortly after she went to a funeral of a boy who committed suicide she killed herself

Immediacy

She did not  wait until they were really close to post naked pictures of herself to her boyfriend

Lack of control

She texted pictures of herself nude to anybody. She did not thought about the consequences first.

Permanence

She took nude pictures of herself without thinking about who could see them.

My Advice

My advice for Jessica is for her not to ever post nude pictures of herself to anybody.

You never know who you can trust. One day you can be boyfriend and girlfriend and another day you can be mortal enemies.

Justine Sacco Story

http://www.oxygen.com/very-real/8-insane-social-media-posts-that-got-people-fired

Justine Sacco was the global head of communications for the digital media for IAC. Getting on a plane for a trip to South Africa, to visit family, she published a tweet saying "Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm White!"This has to do with lack of control because when you post something you people can repost it. In this story people retweeted her post. While she was on her plane she had became a trending topic: #HasJustineLandedYet. People started talking about her on twitter saying that they should hang her and that she was racist. That is when permanence comes. Once you post something it can never be deleted. While she was on the plane people had seen the post and right after that they were giving her bad feedback. This had to do with immediacy because after you post something people are viewing it and reposting it. My advice to Justine: You should always think before you post whether it is out of happiness or anger.

http://jgillies.weebly.com

In my website I wanted to create something that people could just go on and find things about me without many questions, and which was easy to navigate. First I created a Home page that talked about that talked what will be seen in my website. Secondly I wrote an about me page which I tell things about me and what I like. On the next page I wrote about my resume which is stuff I did in my life and my extracurricular actives. I have a portfolio with one of my projects. At the end I have my contact information so people can contact me. Through this project I learned that you can never give too much information about yourself if peopler looking for information about. I have also leaned how to put a well organized website together.

A (brief) description of your project and project goals, including what you hoped to learn through completing the project.

My project goal is trying to help everyone get to know me more better as an SLA student at “Science leadership Academy” so they can become more comfortable around me and about who I am as a person. So they can relate to some of the things I have talk about and went over about my website with me that I don't know about them. We could have similar results about each other lives  we don't know until this website help them get too know me. I hoping to learn more about the techniques and structure and gain more knowledge of this website because I  will never know I could need this website again for project or assignment again some day. It could be media designing or whatever etc. in the future it could come in handy again so i'm hoping that I could use this website again for an reference someday again.

A (brief) description of the process you went through to complete the project.

Here are all the slides I touch over about my media design project “Home Page”, “About Me”, “ My Resume”, “ My Project” and also I have included a etc. slide to tell everyone thank you for looking at and viewing my website also learning about who I am has a person. Starting off for my “Home Page” I wanted to let everyone know what they are looking forward to seeing in my website project it’s like a small welcome and greeting also introduction. For my “About me Page” I gave just a small life bio of who I am and what I do in and out of school and mostly my hobbies and interests about life itself also I have include an video of one my dearest closest talents I like the most about my life is make creating music and one of the musical talents I  have is playing “Drums” and I will show video of myself playing drums at a wedding. Now for my “Resume Page” I just include some accomplishments, and Job opportunities that I was offered, also talents that I have have in my life. Another slide that I have included in my website page was about  “Project’s Page” so what I have done for project was I just displayed project that I have done in the past year, also I have included an project that I have done this year that I just got finished doing not too long ago and they were both about “Bio-chem” because I love science. Also the last project I have included was one that I am working on now today a flute that was  for “Stem and Intro”. Now for the very last slide I just a include a “Closing Page”  I just tell everyone thank you for viewing and hope you like the website and hope they have enjoyed getting to know me.

Any successes and/or failures you encountered. If you describe a failure, explain how you overcame or worked around that failure.

Something that gave me trouble was uploading a video too my website and publishing my website, and how I have overcome these troubles I ask for help from the teacher about uploading a video on my website also the response I got was “ look at youtube for an guiding reference for how to upload a video on your website” and it worked out perfectly, and the second situation I ask a peer how to publish a website and “she” help me out a bit but “she” also remind me that we have guide website  how answer the questions you are  seeking for and it help me out a lot because what happened??? I went right to website and it did help me and had the answers  I was looking for.

What you actually ended up learning through the completion of the project.

I learned the features and structure and creation for how to make a website through this learning process.

What you learned about yourself through the completion of the project.

I learned that I have to have patience with myself and learn to look at guidance reference and guide lines when they are given and when I have a question or don't understand something ask a peer and teacher then but first try you best and see what you can do and come up first.

How you would do this project differently if you were to do it all over again.

I don't think I would really change anything but added some more stuff to talk about for the  website.

Any tips or hints for others attempting this project.

Read first before doing and make sure you pay close attention when instructions are being given.

What this project inspired you to do next.

This project inspired me to use this website maker for projects or assignments when projects and assignments come out I can just use this website as an display for what I am trying to sponsor or if I want to make website of my own now I know what to use to make a website.

In this project, did the message dictate the medium or did the medium dictate the message?

“The message dictated the medium” how because the the website was the message and the medium was the public audience, the message was going towards the medium for the medium too learn from the message.
